FortWayne, you are way off on this. Bin Laden was worth some $260 million. He used all of it for his religion. His only goal in life was to obey the world of Allah based on a literal translation of the Koran.
Christianity was not much different until it came under the control of secular democracies. All religions have blood on their hands. The only path for the world to progress and live in harmony is via a Secular Capitalistic Democracy with an ability to evolve, in order to keep up with a rapidly changing world.

Ignoring this problem does not make it go away. Vocal atheists are vocal precisely because they know a lot about religion and its perverse effects on society.
