Yes, Let's Tax The Rich MORE, oh wait, they're the ones paying the bills NOW! Don't give them a tax cut!
Seriously, do you read your own links????
payroll taxes don't count when discussing who pays taxes.
Feel like an idiot yet after looking at that chart?
Headline: Top 20% has almost all the income, yet complain loudly about taxes.
They should try being in the bottom 20% of income, if they are so sore about paying taxes.
middle class 'single digits'
"The top 20% of the population pays 95% of the Federal taxes."?
Here's a clue for you. When the top 1% has 90% of the wealth, by default, they are going to have to pay the majority of the taxes.
The top 20 percent of folks who file a tax return, the top 20 percent, pay 95 percent of the taxes.

If it wasn't for the rich, the poor would starve. And to think some Patnetters want to foolishly eliminate the rich.
I think you got that backwards. Who feeds the rich?
Capitalism, entrepreneurs, hard work etc. Are you saying the welfare bums and queens feed the rich?

If it wasn't for the poor, the rich would never be rich.
The rich need the poor but the inverse isn't true.

The people working and adding value feed the rich. Do you suppose henry ford made all those model t's with his own hands?
The people working and adding value got paid for their input. Entrepreneurs like Henry Ford who created the assembly line got paid for theirs.
Why are you complaining?
They should THANK the rich people for giving them the opportunity to earn a living
If the rich didn't go out on a limb and take a chance, these "poor" people would never get the chance to HAVE a job.
They should THANK the rich people for giving them the opportunity to earn a living. Sadly, a socialist like you will never understand that point.
Instead of being grateful for such high wages, the American worker curses the business owners.

American worker pays into payroll tax that funds our DOD budget. American worker has the right to demand more than someone in Venezuela.
If those guys never took a chance, started a business in their garage, went out on a limb, worked 100 hours a week, there never would have been a company later on hiring hundreds of people. They got rich by taking a chance
That's something YOU'LL never do.
Unbelievable, you FIRST have to EARN the income to invest
Can you believe how evil those "rich" people are? We should take all their "high" incomes, after all, it's for the children, right?
Because it's MY thread, I can do what the fuck I want in it. How's that?
Are you kidding me, you whine constantly about those evil rich business owners and income inequality, CONSTANTLY!!!
It came in a discussion before students of the school's Institute of Politics and Public Service at the McCourt School of Public Policy. The discussion was directed by Cathy Koch, a tax expert and former Senate aide.
When the two turned to the taxes the rich pay, Mulvaney declared, "The top 20 percent of folks who file a tax return, the top 20 percent, pay 95 percent of the taxes."
That may be the highest ever. Just two years ago, it was 84 percent, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Any tax cut for middle income earners will also provide a benefit for those further up the income scale, including the top 20 percent who pay 95 percent of all income taxes, according to the director of the Office of Management and Budget.
