UPDATE, RELEASED! All hell is breaking loose in Washington D.C. after a four-page memo detailing extensive FISA court abuse was made available to the entire House of Representatives Thursday. The contents of the memo are so explosive, says Journalist Sara Carter, that it could lead to the removal of senior officials in the FBI and the Department of Justice and the end of Robert Mueller's special counsel investigation.

Lawmakers who have seen the memo are calling for its immediate release, while the phrases "explosive," "shocking," "troubling," and "alarming" have all been used in all sincerity. One congressman even likened the report's details to KGB activity in Russia. “It is so alarming the American people have to see this,” Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan told Fox News.

“It's troubling. It is shocking,” North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows said. “Part of me wishes that I didn't read it because I don’t want to believe that those kinds of things could be happening in this country that I call home and love so much.”

“I believe the consequence of its release will be major changes in people currently working at the FBI and the Department of Justice,” he said, referencing DOJ officials Rod Rosenstein and Bruce Ohr.

Meanwhile, Rep. Matt Gatetz (R-FL) said not only will the release of this memo result in DOJ firing, but "people will go to jail."

Of all the recent developments in the ongoing investigation(s), this one is on the cusp of turning into a genuine happening.

Who's going to be in the cross hairs?

They do this all the time anyway.

There's a billion a year invested in training alt-right fans to do that across the nation, and even act authoritarian about it too.

Where else do the daily straw men come from anyways that get recited here?

I honestly apologize for not knowing if I posted this before, but did the memo come out yet?

The FBI secretly implanted a micro GPS device in Trump's ass, and it revealed disturbing motions as Putin rode him like a bucking bronco.

.but white is his favorite color

I don't think I've ever owned white shorts or pants my entire life. Or a straight up white collared golf type shirt. I'm a really sloppy eater and it just wouldn't work out well. Doing a sporting activity as well can be messy. I'm in the woods a lot when I golf, so I'd probably come out looking like a bum that lives on the golf course, Fairway Freddie. And tennis, say on a clay court, please.

You'd think with a model for a wife she might have some input on the wardrobe (I think this is quite possibly the fist time I've ever typed wardrobe in my life). Either she sucks at men's clothing or she's okay with him looking like a dufus. Who am I kidding, she just liked money.

Let's all focus on this stupid fucking memo and completely ignore all the damage this administration is pulling while no one is looking.

Let's see, weekend coming up, great time to release or do something stupid late Friday afternoon to keep everyone amused for the weekend.

Keep the distraction machine working in overdrive, if all fails, launch a bloody nose attack on Kim or hold off on that one for just a teeny bit longer, kind of like the mother of all aces in the hole. Nothing like causing the deaths of hundreds of thousands or millions to take everyone's mind off an investigation.

But don't you understand?!?!?!?! Like Watergate, Lewinsky, 9/11, and the Financial Collapse, it will be ALARMING, it will be SHOCKING, it will be EXPLOSIVE and ROCK DC just like the crack reporting team at ZH says. ZH brings us nothing but hard hitting, laser like focused legitimate news that will affect every American. Imagine if Social Security were suddenly curtailed nationwide, or say video appeared of Obama telling Putin to "help me get Trump". It will be to this level where every American will remember where they were when it happened. Get ready....

Once again, I'll ask. If Trump wants the memo out, Ryan wants the memo out, and Nunes wants the memo out--why the hell hasn't it been released???

Someone is not telling the truth here.

My guess is it's not a salacious as hyped, and they're going to do a late Friday media dump on Super Bowl weekend. Boom gets buried as people do shit on the weekend, especially Super Bowl weekend.

8th dimension chess

I’ve developed a formula to determine how good you are at #MAGA googoo gaga.

# of hours you spent on Lock Bush up divided by
# of hours you spent on Lock her up + Benghazi + The Whole Lewinsky thing.

For some people it’s in the range of

1/40,000 and thats when you know you’re really #MAGA

4-5 years of ones life chasing the ghost vs. not even 60 minutes contemplating Bush’s presidency

I'm definitely interested to check it out. I just don't see this really mattering much in the long run. One side has basically already called it fake and the other says it's the gospel. This is kind of standard operating procedure now. I'm not sure it changes with the memo release. Party first I guess.

If that's the case, why is Schiff, Pelosi, the FBI director and other Dems spewing non-stop trying to downplay it? If there's nothing there, they should just continue with their daily Trump bashing, and ignore the memo.

Confirmed: Bullshit Steele Memo created for Political Oppo Campaign knowingly used by DOJ/FBI to get a Patriot Act Warrant on Trump. Origins concealed from FISA Judge.

Unbelievable abuse of Patriot Act for political purposes, long predicted by Civil Libertarians.

Will Democrats abandon another Principle?

RELEASED, First report of memo:

House Intelligence memo released: What it says

The House Intelligence Committee has released its controversial memo outlining alleged abuses of secret surveillance by the FBI and Justice Department in the Trump-Russia investigation. Here are some key points:

* The Steele dossier formed an essential part of the initial and all three renewal FISA applications against Carter Page.

* Andrew McCabe confirmed that no FISA warrant would have been sought from the FISA Court without the Steele dossier information.

* The political origins of the Steele dossier were known to senior DOJ and FBI officials, but excluded from the FISA applications.

* DOJ official Bruce Ohr met with Steele beginning in the summer of 2016 and relayed to DOJ information about Steele's bias. Steele told Ohr that he, Steele, was desperate that Donald Trump not get elected president and was passionate about him not becoming president.

The FBI and Justice Department mounted a monthslong effort to keep the information outlined in the memo out of the House Intelligence Committee's hands. Only the threat of contempt charges and other forms of pressure forced the FBI and Justice to give up the material.

Once Intelligence Committee leaders and staff compiled some of that information into the memo, the FBI and Justice Department, supported by Capitol Hill Democrats, mounted a ferocious campaign of opposition, saying release of the memo would endanger national security and the rule of law.

Finally, the memo released today does not represent the sum total of what House investigators have learned in their review of the FBI and Justice Department Trump-Russia investigation. That means the fight over the memo could be replayed in the future when the Intelligence Committee decides to release more information.

It's politics. It's human nature. When people are wrong here they tend to defend themselves to the point of stupidity. Schiff/Pelosi are just doing what every politician and almost any human does when it looks like they're wrong or look bad. Very few people are capable of admitting being wrong on even the simplest of things. It's definitely not right, but it's what 90% of people do because they're afraid of failure.

The only person I've ignored here at patnet couldn't explain one of the simplest questions about housing on a somewhat outrageous, but actually provable claim. So it was either a lie or not wanting to be wrong. I don't have time for people like that. Hence why I hate ALL politicians. Hopefully this didn't cross a line on my end Patrick, if it did feel free to delete. Was using it as an example to prove my thought process.

W/out dossier, there would've been no FISA warrant. Was admitted under oath by McCabe. DOJ/FBI already knew dossier's source was unreliable & shouldn't be used, but filed applic w/it anyways. Waited until after to fire Steele. Then applied for extensions on warrant anyways.

Nonsense. The source hasn't been shown to be unreliable at all. Much of it has, in fact, been confirmed as accurate. Is Putin in the habit of killing spies over lies?

Intelligence experts say it’s unlikely that Steele’s intelligence formed the sole basis for a warrant,

Oh Timmy....

The dossier- compiled by Christopher Steele (Steele dossier) on behalf of the
Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the Hillary Clinton campaign formed an
essential part of the Carter Page FISA application. Steele was a longtime FBI source who
was paid over $160,000 by the DNC and Clinton campaign, via the law firm Perkins Coie
and research from Fusion GPS, to obtain derogatory information on Donald Trump's ties
to Russia.

246   MrMagic   2018 Feb 2, 9:55am

The FBI and DOJ obtained one initial FISA warrant targeting Carter Page and three FISA
renewals from the FISC. As required by statute (50 U.S.C. a FISA order on an
American citizen must be renewed by the ISC every 90 days and each renewal requires a
separate finding of probable cause.
Then-Director James Comey signed three FISA applications
. in question on behalf of the FBI, and Deputy Director Andrew McCabe signed one.
Sally Yates, then-Acting DAG Dana Boente, and DAG Rod Rosenstein each signed one or more.

It gets deeper......
247   MrMagic   2018 Feb 2, 9:59am

So, how big will the payday be for Carter Page and Mike Flynn?
248   Goran_K   2018 Feb 2, 10:08am

Wow.

Has anyone read this full memo yet?

How do heads not roll? I thought the hype around the memo was just media hype.

It's not.

It's incredibly incriminating towards the Obama administration. I mean, if this had happened under the Trump administration, he would be impeached 100%.
250   Shaman   2018 Feb 2, 10:53am

It’s a classic conspiracy. In this case, to cheat their way past a FISA court and get to listen in on Trump campaign plans. The current acting Attorney General and recent acting chief of the FBI are clearly implicated by their signatures on FISA applications filed with their full knowledge that they were gaming the court by withholding evidence and introducing evidence that was at least partially demonstrated to be false.
251   Goran_K   2018 Feb 2, 11:10am

Yates should go to prison.
McCabe should go to prison.

The truth is, Obama should be dragged away in chains as well.
