Accused Florida School Shooter Refused Special Services.

PARKLAND (CBSMiami/AP) — Nikolas Cruz, the self-confessed Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooter refused to let the district continue providing him with mental health services after he turned 18 and the superintendent of schools says federal law kept them from doing anything about it.

Broward Schools Superintendent Robert Runcie tells the Sun Sentinel “You can’t make someone do something when the law says they have the right to make that determination.”

Cruz, now 19, is accused of killing 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Valentine’s Day.

Runcie says Cruz had attended a school with programs for emotionally and disabled students, and returned to Douglas in August 2016. By November, he says the “situation had deteriorated.” With the support of his mother, Cruz refused special needs services and remained at the school until February 2017.

Read all my recent posts where I complain about the Left changing forcible hospitalization laws because of a fictional movie character and an incorrect Scots Schizo theorist in a Moral Panic Fed by "Settled Science" that mental illness is best cured with freedom. Putting people who are a clear danger to themselves as well as mildly depressed people alike, let 'em all out! Fly my winged beauties! Fly to Freedom!

However, did federal law also keep LEOs or State/County agencies besides the school from doing something? Apparently Cruz called 911 begging for help which resulted in a LEO visit which resulted in nothing. And on February 5th a woman called the Authorities warning he was about to completely lose his shit.

BTW, now it's coming out that Sheriff Broward Coward told the LEOs on the scene under his department to not go into the school.

Authorities have acknowledged they underestimated many warning signs that Cruz was a deeply troubled kid. They were aware of his disturbing social media posts and social services visited his home several times.

There were dozens of calls to police with several people fearing he was capable of violence and murder.

On November 29 family friend Rocxanne Deschamps, who was looking after Cruz after his mother Lynda died in early November, told the dispatcher that Cruz already had about eight guns that he kept at a friend's house.

In the voice recording Deschamps can be heard telling police 'all he cares about is his gun,' reported the NY Times.

In another call to police she said 'It's not the first time he put a gun on somebody's head,' she also said that he once did that to his mother.

Deschamps has refused to comment and her lawyer has not responded to phone messages and emails.

See, if we just passed one more "common sense gun law" (on top of the existing 20,000) or banned AR-15s, none of those past screw-ups by the cops or mental health professionals would have happened and all the 17 children would be alive. Never mind the TONS of red flags and warnings, they aren't important.

For those that have parents the dad needs to tune in once in a while with some tough and rough love and tell the kid that life's not fair and society is not responsible for your bad feewings. Suck it up, man up, go work out, go into nature, have fun, be a man, don't hide behind muh feewings and assault rifles Live, work out, hunt, fuck and be responsible for your own destiny. Don't blame society. Don't listen to the lefty soy-boy sirens, there is no privilege, only what you make out of your life and Zuul.
