So I was browsing YouTube and found this lady’s video. After five minutes or so or so-so content, it started to get interesting. She was talking about how men derive their identity and self respect from what they do, as opposed to women who derive it by what they are. When a man is free to compete and work with other men with men’s rules, work becomes meaningful. When women infiltrate and worse, demand changes to the culture of such a workplace, men lose meaning in their work, and might even come to regard it as an ongoing daily humiliation. Not to mention the whole thing with men and women where a man can have his self-defined role as father or husband taken away for no reason by a capricious wife, we begin to see marriage as a bear trap.
Watch the video if you’re interested in these issues. I’m interested to see what @Rin thinks as well.

"Now she’s married to a guy who is older but very well off and they have a new toddler.
So even with the child support, she’s doing much better."

Smart woman. Move on and up to better prospects and solidify the financial relationship with a child.

Understand - I don't know the details of why there was divorce, so maybe it was truly the end vs a "I want more/better", etc...
And I do agree that the burden shouldn't be "whoever makes the most contributes the most" for C/S. It should be a 50/50 deal. Otherwise, one party is subsidizing the other.

If I could become the slovenly hanger-on of a nymphomaniacal rich bitch, I might consider marriage.

This. Most women are boring. Even the smart ones will go on and on about stupid girl drama they encounter.

Marriage is outdated and serves no practical purpose that another legal instrument couldn't handle. I used to think it was important for children's legitimacy, I have reconsidered, again, another legal instrument can establish guardianship.

Touché!
Most guys are also boring talking about a couple subjects and knowing fuck all about most other things. Sports seems to be the most popular subject. Followed by vehicles, their maintenance, construction, and operation.
I don’t follow professional sports (saves tons of time for more meaningful things(I mean, who even remembers a game from last year?)) and I don’t enjoy working on vehicles. I mean, I can and I do quite a bit of mechanic work on vehicles, but I’m not going to obsess over it.

So I come to Patnet to have adult conversation with people of higher intellect and more varied interests.

That female who gave Quigley shit for being 26 and willing to date an 18 year old would surely try to kill me for my "crimes." In my defense, it wasn't my idea, as lame as it sounds.

Younger men are more foolish and disrespectful than older men; I am more mellow and less pushy to females now than I ever was. Decades ago I felt the sting of frustration if things didn't happen with a female. Now I just wonder "what opportunity will be the next? I hope it's not too long a wait." I feel like that Seinfeld episode where things always seemed to work out for Jerry.

As impossible as it sounds, a younger female I see from time to time is actually the most easy to converse with and is very mellow and respectful. She is fun to travel with and was very nice company She would be an acceptable long term partner but she's too young so when she's still hot I will look like death warmed over. Life is sometimes strange; I feel comfortable and relaxed in her company even though never thought I could.

Knock her up and have some kids! Women like that are super tough to find. They get snatched up fast, usually right out of high school.

This is the relaxation and misdirection pheromone they exert, just before they thrust their proboscis into your belly to digest your guts and slurp them out like a straw.
157   clambo   2019 Jan 4, 11:43am

Quigley, I will leave it to others to knock her up. I hope her pussy snaps back into shape and I can maybe use it again someday. I can wait I have the patience of Job in this regard. The guy stupid enough to knock her up will later be resented by her for being stupid, and she may seek me out, who knows what the future may bring?

Ceffer, you are astute and likely correct; her nice company sweetness is of course temporary and may be a tactic.

Either way, it's OK because I am not being the "sugar daddy" she may have wished for.

Welcome to the "Harmless Old Man" zone. Young women often see oldies as totally out of the game and non-threatening. You will really know this is the case if while on the beach, she asks you to hold the towel as a view block while she changes into a bikini.

Anecdote for Patnet guys:

Saturday I got a call from an attractive not beautiful chubby female Haitian friend of mine. She said "It's my birthday today." "Oh, I guess someone should take you out to dinner then." Later, I got out of my comfy shorts and squeezed into long pants and a long sleeved shirt and took her to a modest but ok restaurant. She was thrilled. Later I opened my wallet and gave her some of the cash withholding some for scuba diving the next day. "I need to keep some $ they want us to tip the people who help us on the dive boat."
She: "I want to see you on my day off Wednesday too."

Sunday up at 3am for some reason, went diving in AM, back by 1:30 pm, tired and another female who is beautiful, in her 20's texts me "I need you".
"What's the problem?" "I need $200 today. I will come up and clean your place and do other things." "I will need to sleep first." "Let me know when you wake up."
I tried to sleep but the afternoon sun made it impossible so I vegged out then texted her "I'm too tired, I can't see you today." She texted back "I'll bring lotion and give you a massage, you'll be able to sleep." "I'm sorry." "OK" she gave up.

She may have been very shocked that my mood affected my interest in females more than other guys she may know. If I were 20 years younger I would have crawled over broken glass to see her.

Some of my married friends would say I am nuts to reject an offer of a gorgeous female in the afternoon but I didn't think her offer was reasonable.

I am filing this under the "Only in Florida" anecdotes.

165   Ceffer   2019 Jan 7, 11:14am

Clambo is the fly zapper of predatory female aspirations. Dangle the dough, and let them crawl and compete like hookers at a porno audition, then kick them to the curb! Bravo!

Beware that in playing this game, one is nearly always brought to ground! Then, after they secure the life insurance with them as beneficiary, it is either fast poison or slow torture!

They have the same billion years of evolutionary strategy to outsmart you, but the egg always wins!

Maybe, but he has a long way to go. Right now he's trolling along the bottom of the bottom, looking for dates.

He should go do this with a dollar bill in a trailer park, who knows what he could catch:

Of course it does, for the simple reason that age and death are inevitable, and the only winner can ever be the following generations. Brought to you by the egg.

Guys, this thread is growing old and boring.

Seriously, devoting this much mental power on the whole dating scam, as oppose to let's say undervalued dividend stocks, is a waste of time and energy.
169   Ceffer   2019 Jan 7, 11:41am

If you can't sublimate and thrive, BOINK HOES!
170   clambo   2019 Jan 7, 8:18pm

Ceffer "fly zapper" that's funny.

For Mr. Magic; The birthday girl contacted me because 1. she doesn't have a boyfriend 2. she wanted to go out for her birthday 3. she likes me too. 4. from decades of experience, I know that the only reason a female tells me it's her birthday is wishing to go out and eat, which I like to do also when I choose the place.

The birthday girl is not gorgeous and conceited. She has never asked me for money. For the record, I realize she's unable to make ends meet with no vices nor luxuries so if we see each other I don't mind giving her some "gas money."

The beautiful younger one seeking $200 called me and explained that her coworkers were all going on a trip someplace and she wanted to go with them. I said that wasn't reasonable and I'm not interested. We argued and she said I think I'm smarter than she because I'm white.

Of course the subject is boring sometimes; females are less interesting than life but more interesting than TV or sports.

All females like flowers, but they love money. The amount is up to you.
171   B.A.C.A.H.   2019 Jan 7, 8:25pm

We can connect with women if we don't objectify them.

If we don't objectify them we can make some amazing connections with ones that are not "hot", or that don't try to be "hot".

You might be surprised, get past that any you may even make some connections with lesbians who you'd otherwise think hate all men (and all straight women).

Try that some time, not objectifying them. Maybe one of those would become your best friend then partner, like mine did 31 years ago.

@clambo: hilarious, have you heard of the new super-hero 'florida man'?

https://www.reddit.com/r/FloridaMan/

Magic reminds me of my dad if my dad actually said what he's thinking more often. Older generation with horse blinders on refusing to see society burning down around them. "You're doing it wrong based on what worked for me in the good ol' days". THANKS BOOMERS!

Other than this particular topic I tend to agree with him though.

Rin is right but the markets are closed right now so...

See, this is where you're wrong and "stuck in the matrix".

Being "older" than you, gives me much MORE experience and opportunities to see ALL generations. So, I've seen how my generation handles relationships.

I also have 3 Millennial kids, two who are married. I also know tons of their friends, and see the relationship situations with all of them. You'd be amazed what you can learn when you keep your eyes wide open, and don't succumb to the forces of the matrix.

Society is burning down, but it certainly ain't because of the Boomers.

I think this guy's an asshole for telling me it'd be stupid for me to help my kids pay off college loans if I had a million dollar windfall.

But, even assholes can be right some times. I totally concur with his comment.

60s is when the divorce spike happened and shortly after that is when child birth out of wedlock did as well. Out here they're the ones who voted us all out of affordable real estate, ruined social security, ran up the national debt among other crap. That's why I honk at them in cross walks.

You aren't that much older than me, I can see as well.

So why sir do you think society is burning down?

You do know you can vote at age 18, so that doesn't put you too far below them in voting power. It's nice that you're playing the blame game though, typical of your generation too. Lack of personal responsibility, another hallmark of the generation.

You gotta have somethin' if you wanna be with me

'Cause that zero is too cold for me, brrr
I'm not tryin' to be your highness
'Cause that minus is too low to see, yeah

185   clambo   2019 Jan 8, 4:50am

BACAH and Dregalicious have some points, although I differ to blaming "boomers" for society's ills today.

I too have female friends whom I enjoy time with; two are widows around my age who married older guys than they. A couple others are divorced or were never married.

"Florida man" is pretty funny; I noticed that Florida stories are weirder than California which I thought was impossible. Dailymail seems to have lots of Florida stories. In my small town the one of a kid who threw a small alligator into the drive through of wendy's caught my eye.

A small "unintended consequence" of Obamacare; drug and alcohol rehab is covered, so rehab centers in FL are a growing industry. The "graduates" tend to hang around and there are some very hard to detect severe drunks/kooks out there. A neighbor of mine was a retired engineer from NJ from some govt. job. Later I ran into him at the beach and he seemed a bit plastered. Later I didn't see him and my other neighbor told me "He was caught drunk and jerking off watching the girls playing volleyball in Jupiter. They sent him to jail and then rehab again."
