I, for one, am hoping that the Republicans do NOT extend the payroll tax cut for one simple reason: TO once and for all prove to Americans that Republicans only care about tax cuts for the rich. The thing the Republicans hate most about the payroll tax cut is that ti cuts taxes for the wrong people.... those who are not super rich. So please Republicans, do not extend the tax cut so that you can lose next year and Nancy Pelosi can get her gavel back.

BOEHNER: Well, it’s pretty clear that I, and our members, oppose the Senate bill. … How can you do tax policy for two months? So, we really do believe it’s time for the Senate to work with the House, to complete our business for the year. We’ve got two weeks to get this done. let’s do it the right way.

HOST: So your suggesting start over, make this a one year extension. Should the Senate start from scratch?

BOEHNER: No, what I’m suggesting is this. The House has passed its bill, the Senate has passed its bill. Under the Constitution, when we have these disagreements, there could be a formal conference between both chambers to resolve the differences.

Bwaha! I love Teabaggers, they claim to want government NOT to work. The consistent position for them would be SHUT IT DOWN and prove how we don't need any Federal operations at all. Of course they won't carry through, and this is all just more brinksmanship so they can claim they fought a good bloody fight.

I'm personally sick of the Republican party and that is why I left it. This new teabagger Republican party is raidcal and extreme. It is the equivalent of the Democrats letting the Communists run the Democratic party.

Republicans love government and the umbilical cord that they latch onto to suck from it, just look at every die-hard red state and who really supports it cause it's definitely not the red staters themselves. It's the government and with money paid in by us in the blue states.
Look at how Ron Paul is treated and the constant efforts to minimize and belittle him in his own party. He advocates cutting off the free ride type of gravy train that the right wing exists on and is so ferociously defended by every republican including the low-level morons that do the leg work for them.

The right wing utopia known as Alaska is the best example of their economic theories, of course that never fail for the simple reason that they survive on everybody else's money.

The Pipeline is going to create hundreds of thosuands of jobs? That is a good one! Even the oil compnay that wants to build it said it will only create a few hundred permaent jobs.

And only about 6,000 temporary josb would be created:

Girling said Friday that the 13,000 figure was “one person, one year,” meaning that if the construction jobs lasted two years, the number of people employed in each of the two years would be 6,500. That brings the company’s number closer to the State Department’s; State says the project would create 5,000 to 6,000 construction jobs, a figure that was calculated by its contractor Cardno Entrix."

It's absued to build the pipeline from Canada all the way to Texas. THey should built it to just North Dakota and refine the oil there.

A few examples of right wing reality:

Is going to..............probably..............I'll bet............would actually.......................... purely...........threatening to cut off...........and on and on and on...............

Yes it is sad and it has come to the point that they even beleive their own bullshit.

shrekgrinch says

I am using the same bullshit methodology that counts what a job is that the Obamunists used in promising how many jobs their stimulus crap would actually create

No you weren't. You really meant "hundreds of thousands of jobs" are are trying to bullshit your way out of having to admit that you lied.

Well, it looks liek the Teabaggers in the house are blocking a vote on the payroll tax cut. They know that if it is voted on, it will pass. So their only option is to block the vote. Funny, I did not know there were fillibusters in the House. Last time I checked, there weren't. Where is the House Ruies Committee and why are they not investigating this breach of House rules?
