United States senator from Massachusetts. Her victory matters not only because it helps the Democrats keep control of the Senate but also because Ms. Warren has a track record of speaking truth to authority on financial issues both to officials in Washington and to powerful people on Wall Street.

I don't care if Elizabeth Warren is Jeffrey Dahmer in a skirt as long as she eats fucking banksters

She can start with Bernake .

She didn't try to exploit Affirmative Action and she's not a greedy housing speculator or a predatory bank.

--------------------------------------------------
She didn't exploit Affirmative Action? HAHAHAA...Really? Did you know she refused a DNA test, and 2+ heritage/geneology groups confirmed that there's ZERO PROOF OF HER CHEROKEE HERITAGE. Admit it, she scammed the system. Harvard got their fake indian, professor of color. Simple quid pro quo.

Gee, she bought a house on the backs of the poor foreclosed-upon people in Oklahoma, and quickly sold it to family members, either giving her or her family profits. DING-DING-DING. We have here a house-flipper!!

I never said she did anything illegal, and don't have any problems of what she did. Come to think of it, I didn't even mention that she DID NOT HAVE A LICENSE TO PRACTICE LAW IN MASSACHUSETTS WHILE CLAIMING HER 'LAW OFFICE' TO BE HER OFFICE ADDRESS AT HARVARD. That's worth investigating, but got swept under the rug.

What I'm calling out on her is her incessant shouting that she's a 'fighter for the working class', when clearly her past proves otherwise. When you run for office claiming these things, while accusing Scott Brown of his 'war on women', she's a big, fat, lying, affirmative action scamming, house-flipping, liar. This isn't character assassination. It's the truth....And shame on Patrick for liking her.

look at what she does

Yes and we can start with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and TARP regulation. Are we honestly going to continue to have to listen to all this shit from you in the coming months?...

You have an agenda and it has nothing to do with you're writing. Either you're dishonest or you're a mess. Either way what you're writing has no bearing on anything relevant to warren or whatever is happening in your country.

Kent, Please. I don't have an agenda. I'm calling a spade, a spade. Instead of insulting me, please tell me where I'm dishonest. Did you bother with readying any of my links.....Resorting to name callling? Really? You remind me of some people I knew in 8th grade.

So you say. But Mittens was elected Governor of your state and Scott brown was elected Senator -both were Republicans. You were saying? Perhaps the people of MA realized they were hoodwinked when they realized their guy who drives a pick-up suddenly dumped it and started talking with Kings and Queens and forgot about the commoners?

--------------------------------------
I love it when you change the subject..... I got one for you. (You see, this is where I stick to the topic of conservation: Liz Warren).....You know the asbestos company she represented in court? (I know you don't so here it goes).... She got paid over 250K for her work, so that those asbestos victims would only get $5400 on average(if my memory serves me)....But that's OK because she's 'fighting for the little guy'. PFFT....and got paid handsomely doing it.

23   justme   2012 Nov 9, 1:10am

Look, AverageBear, the real problem is that the average Republican is hugely deficient in their morals, serving their corporate masters in destroying the US.

And you are complaining that Elizabeth Warren may have gotten some advantage in life from being 1/32 native American. And she is indeed 1/32 native American, judging by all the evidence in the boston.com article you referred to.

http://www.boston.com/news/politics/2012/senate/2012/09/15/elizabeth-warren-family-has-mixed-memories-about-heritage/cPMflfaOlndM1jFbimJ4tM/singlepage.html

What would you say if some Pube turned out to be the grandson of Vannevar Bush and the son George Herbert Walker Bush, and therefore got a free pass into Yale and Harvard Business School and the Texas Air National Guard? Yes, we are talking about George W. Bush here.

Would you get apoplectic over that, or is it rather the case that you hold your political enemies to a MUCH higher standard than you hold your own?

That was a rhetorical question. I know the answer already. Put that in your peace-pipe and smoke it.

I diagnose you as suffering from Republican Insanity Disorder (TM).

JustMe,

Umm, no. She's not Cherokee. She lied, checked the box, got a cush Harvard teaching gig, and Harvard got their 'professor of color'. It ain't rocket science...

http://www.cherokeesdemandtruth.com/p/her-genealogy.html

The New England Historical Genealogical Society, which originally announced they found evidence of Elizabeth Warren’s Native American heritage, said today they have discovered no documentation to back up claims that she is 1/32 Cherokee.
“NEHGS has not expressed a position on whether Mrs. Warren has Native American ancestry, nor do we possess any primary sources to prove that she is,” said Tom Champoux, spokesman for the NEHGS. “We have no proof that Elizabeth Warren’s great great great grandmother O.C. Sarah Smith either is or is not of Cherokee descent.”

http://www.genealogyblog.com/?p=18965

And what do we find when we dig a little deeper? HOLY-MOLEY!!!!

In what may be the ultimate and cruelest irony, not only is it unlikely that Elizabeth Warren’s great-great-great grandmother was Cherokee, it turns out that Warren’s great-great-great grandfather was a member of a militia unit which participated in the round-up of the Cherokees in the prelude to the Trail of Tears.

AverageBear says

It's her character that always gets dismissed

She checked off Native American in a box based on family tales.

Is David Vitter still a senator from Louisiana? Isn't a soliciting prostitutes a crime?

Which is worse? Running a campaign as a family values guy and cheating on your spouse with hookers (plural), or checking a box two decades ago, even though your position has nothing to do with Native Americans?

It doesn't take balls to research Bankruptcy when you've checked "Native American" as your identity, but it takes some Brass Tacks to run a campaign as a Family Values guy after you've solicited prostitutes - and only confessing to it after the evidence comes out.

As that twit "Doctor" Laura might say, "Just Sorry for being caught".

Exactly. And even if one were to lie on an Affirmative Action item, that's not immoral as Affirmative Action is itself highly immoral. No employer should be required or even allowed to ask questions about one's ethnic background or to consider ethnic background in hiring decisions. But to blame Warren for the injustice of Affirmative Action is ridiculous, especially coming from the right wing.

AverageBear brings up Ted Kennedy because to him politics is all a game. If the genuinely evil policies of your party are brought to light by someone named A, then character assassinate that person. When someone else points out that A isn't that bad, but Republican named B is and has done grossly immoral things, then find a Democrat name C that has also done bad things to distract from the real issue, namely that he Republican policies are genuinely evil and that Democrat A is fighting the good fight.

Keep throwing red herrings to distract the public. Don't stop long enough for anyone to ask the question: Am I being fucked by Elizabeth Warren or Goldman Sachs? Who is responsible for the destruction of the Middle Class in America, the Democrats or the Republicans? Who's economic interests does Mitt Romney protect, mine or the filthy rich parasites?

Yeah, Ted Kennedy was a drunkard and should have gone to jail for drunk driving that resulted in the horrible death of an innocent. George Bush, Dick Cheney, and Obama should be put to death for crimes against humanity. Richard Nixon should have sentenced to pound-me-ass prison for war crimes and for his role in Watergate. His secretary should have be imprisoned for tampering with evidence of a felony, contempt of court, and obstructing justice.

If we count up all the crimes, neither party is innocent, but the party of the south (Democrats before 1960 and Republicans after 1960) are by far the more guilty. The American south and mid-west is populated by despicable people with an evil culture. I keep waiting for them to admit their history is evil and they need to change and embrace the human rights and intellectual honesty that the rest of us do, but they keep fornicating with their sisters and farm animals and keep digging that hole of immorality.

Some day, those of us in the 21st century are simply going to have to mass sterilize those who refuse to leave the 18th century. We can only give them so much time and let them do so much damage before ethics demands that we eliminate the threat once and for all. I say we lace their corn dogs and Chick-fil-A with chemical castration drugs before those idiots start a nuclear war or cause the ecological collapse of the planet. Or maybe we should invite them all to a rapture party and drop a nuke on it. Hell, if they are right about god and morality, we'll be doing them a favor by sending them to heaven. If they are wrong, we'll be doing the galaxy a favor.

28   justme   2012 Nov 9, 8:04am

Only one thing is clear, and that is that AverageBear hold everyone else to grotesquely higher standards than himself and his political cronies.

That is really all you need to know. Double standards, a hallmark of Republicans and Right-wingers everywhere.

For a Democrat, a minor uncertainty about the righteousness of a past action is indictable. For a Republican, no crime or moral failing is big enough to cause concern.

No sense of proportionality, no sense of justice.

Project, Project, and project some more. have nothing to say or refute any of my facts on Liz Warren, bla-bitty-bla.... Drive by name calling....."Democrats good, Republicans bad"...

Liz Warren claims she was Cherokee, and when we do a little digging, someone up her family tree actually ROUNDED THEM UP.....Putting words in my mouth and accusing me of holding higher standards (when the accuser should just look in the mirror) is funny. Thanks for the laugh.

AverageBear says

But when I happen to give you an equal in the Dem camp, everyone goes apeshit?

Because the Dem you gave as an example has nothing to do with Elizabeth Warren. It's a deliberate red herring, whereas examples we give are relevant.

AverageBear says

None of you can refute Liz Warren's shady history.

I think I did above in great detail.

AverageBear says

"bush is bad', GOP = racism.

When discussing the aftermath of Bush's administration, which continues, it is most appropriate to accurate state historical facts about his presidency. When discussing race issues including voter suppression efforts that masquerade as "voter ID laws", it's perfectly right to call the GOP on racism as they are actively participating in it.

None of this is relevant to Elizabeth Warren. The one thing you haven't attacked is Warren's agenda, protecting the middle class from corrupt banks. That's a pretty damn good agenda, unlike Bush's, Romney's, or most Republicans.

However, when someone attempts to character assassinate a person, it's quite reasonable to question the true motives of the person performing the assassination. Yeah, MLK had an affair. Why the fuck was the FBI investigating and releasing this information? Oh, because the FBI was run by a bunch of racist motherfuckers trying to suppress civil rights rather than trying to protect the people. And that's important to know.

APOCALYPSEFUCK is Shostakovich says

I'd vote for Adolf Hitler and help reassemble his ashes to come back from the dead if he promised to eat bankster scum and send them to hell.

This has already been made into a movie. In The Diary of Anne Frank of the Dead (2008), the talented actor Bradley J. Greenwell portrayed the undead Führer with such passion and grace that I cried.

Makes Lizzy's workaday satanism seem pretty tame - or virtuous if she manages to stuff any banksters into federal penitentiaries.

Exactly. I have to question the motives of anyone who gets his panties in a bunch over Elizabeth Warren considering the incredible level of atrocities committed by both Bush and Obama over the past 12 years.

Those who character assassinate people like Warren and MLK do so out of evil intentions. They profit from the status quo and will do anything to stop a sheriff from ending the crime spree.

Voter ID laws make plenty of sense and certainly would enforce greater accuracy, control and voter participation.

Clearly you fear this.. http://www.wewantvoterid.com/benefits-of-voter-id/

Voter ID laws will continue to be passed since the benefits make a lot of sense

WEll if you don't have documentation, then that is indeed solid proof that it's false.

I don't have any documentation that my father was basically 100% Irish. I could get it possibly. But I believe it to be true without ever seeing any true evidence to that effect.

Look, politicians scrounge up the worst negative things they can on their opponents. (see your list - that's where it came from).

The question regarding her character would be, was she told she is 1/32 cherokee or not, rather than, is she Cherokee ? That is, did she believe it to be true (just like I believe I'm 1/2 Irish, without ever proving it.

Do the Math. What's more likely to be a lie ? Her saying that it is what she was told. Or politicians trying to smear her saying she made it up ?

(I say it takes a republican to come up with the theory that she made it up for her advantage - becasue that's how they think. For many of them cheating is just part of the game).

I'm not sure whether ironic is the word I would use. Let's just call it an unusual coincidence, and very interesting. She claims to have a great great great grandmother that is cherokee..And what is known is that her great great great grandfather was involved with cherokee people.

Hmmmm. Hard to imagine what being a soldier with that job would be like. I'm sure that hating the cherokee was probably a requisite to being in that unit. And surely they were required to agree with the way the Cherokee people were being fucked over.

Asbestos anyone? Anyone care to explain how Liz Warren can fight for the 'little guy' while represending a 'big business' asbestos company? Taking in more than a quarter million dollars while fucking the asbestos victims to receive no more than $5400 in settlements? I see that "she got hers".....So, don't tire me w/ the "she didn't do anything illegal crap. I know this. But when you spend millions in campaign funds telling voters that you are 'fighting for the working class", you immediately become a hypocrite..... Also, nobody thinks that when Democrats flip houses, the DEFINITION of 'House Flipping' suddenly gets changed. We all know she bought houses in Oklahoma from some poor people who defaulted on loans. She bought them and 'flipped' them over to family members. So to me "Flipping a house" means buying a house (either in forclosure or not), then selling it quickly for a profit (whether those profits are for yourself or family). What am I missing?.... yes, I know you want to say "bush is bad, we have bigger problems that the GOP caused, blablabla". But if you can reply to the $$ that Liz Warren took from the asbestos company, or defend her 'character' as a house flipper, I'm all ears.

38   AverageBear   2012 Nov 12, 2:00am

Even the Boston Globe is asking about Liz Warren...
LIZ Warren a woman of few words...

http://bostonglobe.com/metro/2012/11/09/woman-few-words/g5c9RsRuoKo24VVWK9eawI/story.html

...."Now consider for a moment what these introductory news conferences are intended to be. Easy — that’s what they’re supposed to be. It should be, and probably will be, the easiest news conference of a newly-elected official’s life, the anxiety of the election behind, the glow of victory all around, the glory of service ahead.

It was Warren’s chance to rest her elbows on the podium, tell the gathered crowd that she’s never felt this exhausted in her life, and then share a bit of her exhilaration over the prospect of standing up for the working class in the most important deliberative body in the world, talking points aside.

So did she do this, any of it? Let’s go to the tape.

“I’m glad,” she said curtly to a question about the high turnout of women voters that undoubtedly propelled her to victory.

“I’m delighted,” she said abruptly when asked her feelings on the number of women voted to high office this week.

“Of course,” she said shortly, when asked if she would seek diversity on her staff.

To the important question of what committee assignments she’d like, she replied, “I will continue to talk to the leader about it.”

After less than 12 minutes of these comically clipped answers, a gubernatorial aide called, “Last question,” prompting Warren to flee the room as if the podium was on fire. She made Scott Brown look like Cicero.

It only hurt, not helped, to learn that Warren later told a few reporters by way of explanation, “All I can say is I was a lot more discreet as a candidate than I was in real life.” She turned to an aide as she said this and asked, “Can I say that? Maybe it’s indiscreet to talk about discretion.”

Do we have a contender for the most ill-spoken elected person here in Mass? Knowing that we have Boston Mayor "Mumbles" Menino, that's saying alot... Isn't she supposed to be a 'well spoken' lawyer? OOOF....

anyone care to explain how Liz Warren can fight for the 'little guy' while represending a 'big business' asbestos company?

http://factcheck.org/2012/10/warrens-role-in-asbestos-case/

40   marcus   2012 Nov 12, 2:18am

THat asbestos case is obviously a complicated situation. But as a typical propaganda influenced right winger, you go with what you wish to be true, without even looking for the truth.

That last part, believing Scott Brown's political spin, rather than looking in to it is truly pathetic.

Travelers and the asbestos victims were working together on a common goal: to preserve the $500 million trust both sides had agreed to. Another insurance company, Chubb, was contesting the settlement agreement, and Warren ended up making her one and only appearance before the Supreme Court arguing on behalf of Travelers to uphold the trust. As part of the deal, Travelers would be permanently immune from future asbestos-related lawsuits concerning Johns-Manville. Warren’s argument prevailed. According to the Globe, Warren was paid $212,000 over three years by Travelers.

So it’s true, as the Brown ad says, that a Boston Globe headline on May 1 described Warren as playing a “key role in an asbestos court case.” But the subhead of the story — “Worked for insurer on fund for victims” — belies the ad’s claim about her opposing the interest of the victims.

Specifically, the ad leaves out this pivotal paragraph from the same Globe story:

Boston Globe, May 1: Travelers won most of what it wanted from the Supreme Court, and in doing so Warren helped preserve an element of bankruptcy law that ensured that victims of large-scale corporate malfeasance would have a better chance of getting compensated, even when the responsible companies go bankrupt.

Unfortunately for the asbestos victims, the Supreme Court’s decision wasn’t the final word on this case. After Warren left the case, it took a “disastrous” turn for the victims when a lower court issued a ruling on Feb. 29, 2012, that, as the Globe reported, took Travelers “off the hook for paying out the $500 million settlement.”

The Globe noted that according to one judge who tried to preserve the settlement, Travelers received “something for nothing” — immunity from future lawsuits without having to pay out the $500 million trust.

Warren has said she believes the lower court erred. The ruling is still under appeal.

41   AlexS   2012 Nov 12, 2:26am

Warren is an economic ignoramus, and a life-long Tax-Eater.
I don't have any regrets about fake "tea partier" Brown kicked out though.

So, any links or proof that Liz Warren IS Cherokee?

Yeah, give me two minutes on Wikipedia.

Who gives a shit even if Warren isn't part Native American. Any proof she actually lie, that is intentionally told a falsehood, instead of just believing what her grandmother told her?

Also, who died from Warren checking that checkbox? It's not like when Bush lied about
- Iraq having WMD
- Saddam being responsible for 9/11.

A million people died from those lies and 38% of Americans believe that the US has found clear evidence in Iraq that Saddam Hussein was working closely with Al Qaeda to this day. How about spending your effort dispelling that lie?

AverageBear, how about showing some integrity and answering the following question honestly and sincerely: Why do you want Elizabeth Warren to fail?

Answer that question and I'll willingly answer the same question for any politician you want, or the inverse or why I want any politician to succeed.
