Like the American anti Russian propaganda during Sochi when we laughed at them.

Putin stokes, taps Russians' resentment of America and the West

Members of an American documentary film crew, visiting the southeastern Ukrainian city of Mariupol last week and stumbling upon a pro-Russian rally downtown, narrowly escaped with their lives as the crowd cursed and chased the Americans and violently attacked their minivan. The vehicle barely got away.

Such views are surely not held uniformly across Ukraine, but among ethnic Russians, and in the heart of the former Soviet Union, a palpable anti-American sentiment is discernible -- and it is, to some extent, the product of determined efforts by Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin apparatus he controls.

"Friends of mine who have been in Moscow for the past, say, two years tell me you cannot understand the amount of propaganda, anti-U.S. propaganda, that is being fed to the Russian people on Russian television -- nothing like it, unprecedented," said Daniel Henninger, deputy editorial page editor of the Wall Street Journal, in an appearance on Fox News' "Happening Now." "They didn't even do this sort of thing back during the Cold War."

Why are they treating us as enemies?
All we want is what's best for everyone - democracy, freedom, peace prosperity and progress. Is that too much to ask for?

Okay, I am starting to get it now. You are being sarcastic. In reality you are making fun of the US penchant for thinking that they are more democratic and know better than everyone else.

WE want that for US! Not them!

We bullied them with social media over the Sochi Olympic Village.
We amplified all of the terror threats, during the event, the turn out ended up being uneventful.

In contrast, the Moscow Olympic games during the Cold war was a smashing success. But of course back then we had Diplomats, who were knew a thing or two about the countries they were assigned to.

By the way, Captain, can you rewrite the headline? I cannot parse it into a meaningful sentence.

"Like the Amerian anti Russian propaganda during Sochi when we laughing at them."

5   justme   2014 Mar 23, 3:56am

Captain, I also agree that he bullying of Socho Olympics was shameful.

"Like the Amerian anti Russian propaganda during Sochi when we WERE laughing at them."

But that didn't fit, so I changed it to "...like when we laughed at them."

Not at all sarcastic. We are more democratic and we do know better than most countries.

We can't just exclude them and have it for us only. It's either everyone or no one. We are all in the same one boat.

I saw more democracy in Malaysia a Muslim country, than anything I've ever seen in America. We're a Democracy once every 4 years, on or around November 7th.
And even then we only get to chose from the assholes the MEDIA gives us to chose from.

10   Tenpoundbass   2014 Mar 23, 4:34am

I don't know about you Clowns, but I find it depressing having these conversations about other countries who exhibit more qualities and traits that America used to encompass. Before we became this narcissistic idiot who is ruled by popular Tweets.

Malaysia a country that practices Islamic sharia laws is more democratic than us?
Humanely impossible.

12   Tenpoundbass   2014 Mar 23, 5:09am

Well you'll just have to believe it. The sharia law is only enforced for practicing Muslims. But even then I'm not aware of acid attacks, beheading or honor killings.

... from your article...
"Law experts are at odds over the powers of the police in enforcing Syariah laws which are applicable only to Muslims, and have urged the Home Ministry and Jakim to quickly provide more details. "

I was in the Handset shoppe, and there was people working behind the counter who demonstrated the Asian demographic from Hindus, to Muslims, to Buddhist, all from light slant eyed Chinese to almost Purple looking Indian or Muslim.
We were having a conversation about diversity, to which the light skin attractive Chinese girl said in a very thick Brittish acceent...

"We're all Asians."

You'll never find a motley group of hispanics representing every South American country, standing together and say... "We are all Latin", not in this country.

They are Cuban, Colombian, Peruvian, Ecuadorian, Mexican, you name it. They are as different from each other as a race of people could possibly be philosophically speaking, while looking exactly alike in ever way. They are more prejudice against each other, than a Carlina redneck is collectively against them all as a single Latin unit.

While in Malaysia, I found that, they have peace and harmony, they lack a Liberal party instigating hate and mistrust against each other. That and they don't air the garbage that American television and movies have become, over the airwaves. Now you may call that censorship if you want. But after three months there, I returned with an inner peace and decompressed from the American media hype and fear machine. That I've never felt since then, and that affect wore off. We could use a little more censorship if you ask me.

I mean it's not like we're not being told what "THEY" want us to hear, and nothing more, anyway.

Well, I'm convinced Malaysia is not as bad as Saudi Arabia and Iran.
Maybe the Saudis could learn something from the Malaysians.

14   Tenpoundbass   2014 Mar 23, 5:49am

I think anyone who would like to feel like shit for living in their crappy country, should visit Malaysia.

I was really torn between not going, I had the CNN/FOX view of "Muslim" Countries. I was expecting dirt and donkey wagons, they also embarrassed the hell out of me, with their technology advancement. We get the nice new Cellphones and most all other technology about two to three years, after the Asian basin has played with it, and it's already old hat to them.

That's why hackers from that region of the world is far ahead of us. They've had a three year head start to exploit every risk and threat, before we even get it. Then they are using machines that two years ahead of our technology to whip the technology Snot out of us.

I really was depressed leading up to the visit, I even kept giving mealy mouthed answers not saying I would go and not saying I wouldn't go, I wanted to go, for the experience, but I was afraid to go. I had the American news view of that scene.

It was like expecting to land in Hell but landing in Heaven.

Even from the airport, you can notice a huge difference.
If you approach their armed guard who are holding M-16 assault riffles, for directions, rather than drawing down on, and shouting "Get down on the ground!!! Get down on the Ground!!!!! (Squelch) 10-4-90 we've got a wise ass making an inquiry from a federal official asshole with a gun!"

The guy even reached in my backpack behind me, to get my passport out. It was far easier getting out of customs, than most American domestic flights.

15   Strategist   2014 Mar 23, 5:53am

What made you go there for 3 months?

16   Tenpoundbass   2014 Mar 23, 5:55am

Work, a German Cruise ship people management software suite application.

They have a huge Austrailian and Irish Expat community over there.
Actually have several great Irish Pubs. I was told by an Irish expat that the Guinness in Malaysia was smother than the one brewed in Dublin.

I thought it was all brewed in Dublin. Guinness here is brewed in Canada go figure.
While I had a few pints of Guinness over there, the local beer of choice is Tiger beer, which I found pretty good for the price. $3.00 for a picture, and about at least two hot bar girls to sit down and chew the fat with you, and help you drink about 2-3-4-5-6-7- or into about closing time. We should really adopt that marketing model, hot young girls with nice out going personalities who are masters in just bullshitting, politics, current affairs, pop culture, you name it. They were up on the conversation. No sex for sale, it's not about that, it's just cheap companionship, with some cute girls with great heads on their shoulders helping you pack away pictures of Tiger beer on a Saturday afternoon into closing time wee hours on Sunday morning.

I could have stayed sitting at that table, with those girls and other foreign workers from other countries, I met there, for the whole trip. There was conversatipon, and we weren't being drowned out by the latest Justin Beiber track being blasted so loud that patrons have to either scream or just sit there and shut the fuck up, while they wait for another round.

I never found one thing where I went "Ah HA!!! we do that better!"
Well OK except for the turkey bacon and turkey sausage, that's all you find in that country with the word bacon anywhere in the description.

But I didn't go there for the Bacon double cheese burger from Burger King.

Isn't that somewhat like Hooters girls? They come and sit at your table to flirt around and reveal a large part of their breasts.
Us guys always joked....The size of the tips is directly proportional to the percent of breasts revealed.

Nowadays it is very un-American to point out the flaws in our country and expect our politicians to fix our problems first-before starting other wars.

Different in every way.
These girls aren't working a second job where they moonlite as Strippers while trying to work their way through college to get a kindergarten teaching degree. I mean Asian "Smart Women" out class our "Pretend Smart" women in every fucking way.
These girls aren't waitresses, they are at your table, they don't wander around going from table to table, dibbying up their time. Unless you just decided to quit buying beer, or told them want to be left alone.
They are there helping you put away beer. They get paid a percentage for all the beer they get your table to drink. Plus what ever tips they get. Which would be a different tip than the serer. Which those girls would shame you, if you pussed out on a proper tip for the server.

It's like you're at the bar with two favorite female Cousins.
It's kinda weird because here's these slant eyed girls, who we have "Mad TV" view of("Sparrow") yet their command of the Kings language, and their knowledge of world policy, is really a humbling experience.

Yup, everytime you point out issues like our country being the no1 country as far as prison arrests go-I am told to leave and go live another country. Like WTF-when did this country die and become North Korea?? Always obey the status quo, never speak anything apart from the official line.

That and while we go elsewhere and talk about freedom and democracy, our govt spies on all of us and the President has the power to make anybody disappear without a trial and without cause/due process. Oh he signed the damn thing to make it into law. All these freedom loving bombers don't seem to be worried about those issues.
