In the 2008 United States election, I wrote in Ron Paul for President. In the 2012 election, I will be voting for Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson. Those who are of a more leftist persuasion than myself might want to consider voting for Green Party candidate Jill Stein.

Hey Dan, look what you have done? Everyone is picking up on your bad logic.

The Dan Cancer is spreading.

War is hell, and a last resort. Young Men can be real assholes, and everybody with power gets corrupted, including the MBA holding Lt. General Whomever. Not something Lockheed-Martin wishes to promulgate, or Neocons for that matter.

Yes. But the Military is generally uninterested in investigating or prosecuting it, as the comparison between the Military and the State of Calfornia shows.

Lets kick their butt and make them interested.

That's our job, the nagging Jewish Mother of America.

"Why didn't you prosecute more rapes? You think Menschkeit is not prosecuting rapes? Oh, if only Grandpa Washingstein could see you, I know he'd be embarassed."

Washington hanged a shitload of assholes whenever he found them in his own Army.

Etc.

112   indigenous   2014 Sep 25, 11:08am

Just to be clear the problem is being there is the first place.

The Army defends its people gee what a surprise.

Does the military make mistakes again gee what a surprise.

Does a centralized government with little accountability do bad things, gee what a surprise.

The problem is that they exist in the first place.

Will it get fixed? Nope, that is until the entire country fails.

Those wars had clear objectives: Destroy the Empire of Japan. Eliminate the warmaking capability of the Nazi State.

Modern wars are primarily to prop up the MIC and Banks, so they have nebulous objectives and are endless.

Wars on tactics and human nature - terrorism and high-seeking - never end, because the goals are unachievable.

And you will say "Ah yes, humanity owes people like him a lot. I wish I could have been a little more like Strategist." Sigh!

No, if more people were like you I will be sitting in another country trying to explain to my grandkids why gulag America used be known as the home of the free and that Escape From NY wasn't a documentary film. They won't believe it of course.

I would never wish to be more like you comrade strategist. The founding fathers would have considered your ideas as abhorrent as elephant smegma in oatmeal. Obedience is freedom comrade.

If you were bright enough to read what people on the sharp end of the stick, real heroes who have been there and done that, say about the results you get from torture rather than the chicken hawk neocon walter mitteis you worship then you would know that what you are saying is pure bullshit. We went into the Iraq war based heavily on bad intelligence obtained by torture.

Strategist says

Let me repeat. WE DO NOT RAPE.

You can repeat a lie all you want. Doing so does not change the fact that it is a lie.

Strategist says

Where does it say we have a policy permitting rape?

The Nazis did not have a policy permitting rape and genocide. No evil organization publishes its intent to commit crimes against humanity. It's bad publicity.

What matters is what people do, not what they say they do.

Strategist says

If an individual rapes someone he gets punished.

Your statement is empirically false as proven by the numerous documented cases presented in this thread.

Strategist says

Anyone can say anything. Means nada.

I can see how you would get this impression by watching Fox News. But in the real world, there's this thing called objective, verifiable reality -- contrary to what you might have heard from Heraclitusstudent.

Whenever presented with evidence, you simply discard any evidence that contradicts your incorrect worldview.

In contrast I'd be willing to accept that we're all sperm inside a great big Smurf's balls if and only if the evidence supported it. Facts come first and political agendas come second.

Reality is whatever it is regardless of what we want it to be. This is the worldview that everyone should adopt.

Strategist says

If someone breaks the rules and rapes, lets severely punish them. That is our policy.

Therefore WE do not rape. HE, the rapist, raped.

Again, you demonstrate your ignorance of even recent history. It does not matter what our government says our policies are. Our government has, and still does have, unwritten policies that torture, including using rape as torture, as weapons.

Gitmo is a perfect example of this.

Yeah, you can make a point that governments and organizations don't do ANYTHING, and that all actions are the decisions of individuals. We aren't arguing against that. However, the individuals who run our government and act as the authority and the military DO commit these crimes. You can't wipe away the guilt by using tricky diction.

And as an American, you should be demanding a stop to these crimes. That would be the patriotic thing to do. Waving a god-damn flag means nothing.

Strategist says

If that makes US rapists, then the whole world is a rapist. Because it happens everywhere. Am I right?

Not by a long shot. The U.S.'s behavior is typical of an empire. There has never been an empire in human history that hasn't been evil. However, most countries aren't empires and most people don't live in an empire.

Strategist says

I find it fascinating that idiots think the people far above their intelligent levels are idiots. This phenomenon seems to be unique to morons. The obese don't think the anorectic are fat. The crippled don't think the able are slow. The rich don't think the poor have too much money -- oh, wait -- damn, there goes that theory.

Dan8267 says

Intelligence is environmental. To truly be intelligent, you need people to acknowledge it. I mean you stick someone like Einstein in a third world country, where he didn't know the language. He would have only been as smart as the person he spoke broken English too, while trying to explain his theory of Relativity. Or German or Romanian or any of the languages that Einstein did speak, but not the language of this Island.

Your intelligence level doesn't mean squat, if you don't have people to kiss your ass, and tell you just how smart you are.

That's what the salary was back in 1983 when my 10th grade Civics teacher said it was the salary for being the Prez.

Actually the salary these days are a lot more something like $450K, and the salary alone, is good reason to wanna be President.

While most are making less than our 1983 counterparts were, the president is enjoying a 500% wage inflation.

CaptainShuddup says

This makes no sense to me, relative to Presidents pay.

For one thing 400K which started in 2001 is good money. On top is a 50K expense account and a 100Ktravel account. And they get a pension of almost 200K per year for the rest of their life, and then theres speaking fees, whcih Obama will get big time (being the compelling orator he is). Obama is also already worth millions from his books.

All of this is above board and honest. What are you talking about ?

Still, I don't think any of them do it for the money. Maybe it factors in, that financially, it's not a bad move.

I'm not sure whether having to have fame and secret service for the rest of ones life is a good or a bad thing. Probably depends on the person.

144   Tenpoundbass   2014 Sep 27, 3:59am

400K is not shit when you're hemorrhaging the money that it takes to maintain a regal lifestyle. I mean Robbin Williams is proof of that.
He got so successful at onetime, that the weight of his success from yesterday was a burden too big to bare in the present. He was living the lifestyle of a guy that had two box office success movies at the same time. While he was making 3 to 4 movie flops a year, and even had a TV show cancel on him after one season.

Unless you're going to live a modest lifestyle in a Burbdale Ranchero house at the end of a culdisac, that $400K is just enough pay the bills and stay broke.

Especially in an age where inflation is ignored.

CaptainShuddup says

Do you know what your point is ?

Robin Williams ? He didn't have to work anymore if he didn't want to. He had a 9 figure net worth. IF he was torn about to work or not, it would have been that he felt he should, because of how much he could make for charitable foundations or whatever. He was set.

Yes, 400K is not THAT much. But OBama is worth millions now, and will make millions more after his Presidency in speaking fees. All above board stuff.

As for Robbin Williams his monthly nut was probably most of Patnet's yearly salaries combined. No you don't rest on your laurels when you own Mansion estates and a winery in Napa Valley.
