So Kiev sent the unit to fight in Donbas where they can't cause trouble for the Government. Neo-nazis and Maiden Activists are useful idiots, and should stay useful to the powers that be, and not try to take power for themselves :)

The UA is on it's 6th Round of Drafts in about 9 months. Last Draft snagged a fraction of the desired numbers, they just banned all males under 30 from leaving the country (of course, you can bribe officials). Those soldiers who were drafted receive a few days of training, some old East German/Polish uniforms from the 70s and 80s, no food and no true kit. It costs $1000 (USD of course, not Hryvnias which nobody wants) to get out of the draft.

How desperate are they? They just started drafting women aged 20-50 last month.

Internal security has long passed to the National "Neo-Nazi/Chechen Islamist" Guard. Draftees are increasingly impoverished 40-50 year middle aged men from the farms, tricked by the Press Gangs with "Come to the Village Center and Sign up for Jobless Benefits"; bribery to draft officers is rampant. In some regions, like Bessarabia, whole villages took to the hills on word of approaching Press Gangs - other Gangs have been set upon by the citizenry and beaten.

You would think that they would know better than to have a crappy army when you have a border with Russia.

They used to have one of the largest, most mobile armed forces in the world. Then they sold all of their equipment, mostly on the Black Market, to Africa and the Middle East. Including their carrier to China - for a "Casino" - but we all know what really happened with that.

Not much of one. I'm sure this administration will get a crisis or an attack. It will be totally mishandled or blatantly capitalized on. The problem (blessing?) may be Trump's credibility may be too far gone by the time it arrives, for it to be used much. One can hope ... anyway.
