And he gets publicly excoriated by the media. Even other GOP candidates called him out for it. For saying something that is 100% true! Islam is a clear and present danger to the Western world. And from what I see on the comments to this article (which is totally blowing up btw), the grand majority of people believe the same thing Dr. Carson says. He might be establishment but with this bold statement I'm putting Carson on the fast track for the top. Quit the campaign? Hardly, this statement will rise him to the top.

If the jury was made up of 12 Bigsbys, I would give up my law license.

You have to have one before you can give it up.

HEY YOU says

If Carson is a Christian & eats any pork, shellfish or fish/sea food without scales,he'll probably burn in Hell. No Christian that does these things should be President. How's that belief that America was founded on Judeo-Christian Propaganda,Carson?

Rightwing religious nuts.

God don't play hypocrisy.

Levitucus doesn't apply to Christians who follow the New Testament (allegedly) establishing a new covenant via Christ.

IMHO, 12th century Christians waging wars on pagans would not qualify to be a POTUS. JFK the first Catholic POTUS qualfied only after he clarified that he would put US Constitution above commands from the Pope. In today's world, a self-identified Muslim would be fine by me if he puts the US Constitution above the Quoran, but then he would be disowned by just about every Imam in the world! It would not be wise to have a US president who is an automatic declared enemy of all muslims of the world (for "apostasy"). Therefore the reality is such that I would not advocate a muslim to be the POTUS at this time either. Not because of that candidate's personal beliefs, but because of the politics of the world. Just like I would not advocate a Fundamentalist Mormon practicing polygamy to be the POTUS despite my personal non-discrimination against polygamy or Mormanism of any form. Ben Carson should have explained better.

bingo! that's exactly it.

I haven't looked at Patrick's Web site in a long time. This thread (and Patrick's surprising rant about religions on another thread) remind me why I stopped looking here for useful information. Re Dr. Carson: I think that his and Mr. Trump's popularity reflect a deep frustration with a broken political system and an increasing ignorance in the public's knowledge about how a democracy is supposed to work. If there was more activism from informed people in our political system, we'd be a helluva lot better off than we are, but people are so pressed to the wall trying to survive that that's unlikely.

rant? no anger, just observation and interpretation. do you think the interpretations are wrong?

I like that logic, Reality. But what about Obama?
His father was a Muslim, therefore, as per Islam, Obama is a Muslim too. He is now an apostate, as he has accepted Christianity.

It was much too mild. No one who reads Patnet can ever be offended after reading the daily insults here.

IIRC, Obama's father left before Obama was even born, and saw Obama only for a month, when Obama was 10 years old. Obama attended Catholic school when his mother was remarried to an Indonesian man.

Yep, he is.... He spent the first 4 or 5 years in an Indonesia school. These are the formative years in a kid's development, so what do you think his religious foundation is based on?

No doubt he has Islamic influence, but his mother was a Christian, and mothers play a very strong influential role.
I also believe Obama is a closeted atheist, enabling him to shake off any Islamic beliefs.

Indeed, and as he went to the Santo Fransiskus Asisi Catholic school for the first couple of years, what does that suggest to you?

That he's definitely NOT a Catholic, otherwise he'd be going to church on Sundays.

Fine, so feel free to explain how those formative years in a Catholic school make him a Muslim.

53   lostand confused   2015 Sep 28, 4:45am

He is definitely not Muslim. Michelle has his balls in her purse.

No Muslim man will be a hen pecked husband.

Did he spend his time 24/7 in school? Never went outside? Never traveled around the country? Never interacted with anyone else in the population?

In the 2010 Indonesian census, 87.18% of Indonesians identified themselves as Muslim.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_Indonesia

Remind us all again how old he was. And what exactly do you think Muslims/Sikhs/Hindus... in America are surrounded by? I take it that they are all now Christians according to your logic.
But, hey, feel free to post up your next stupid argument. We all know you're good for it.

Sure, we'll never know... It's too bad video cameras haven't been invented yet, otherwise the Press would be capturing Obama going to church on Saturday.

Good job they've posted up all those videos of him going to the local mosque 5 times a day. Oh, hang on...

Okay now once again - read very very slowly

Waste of your time anonymous. That person is an angry troll who "wants to be right on the internet" more than they want to learn, adapt, and grow. Not worth the physical effort to punch a key to talk to them. It's never a conversation. (There is no logic that can be used to get through to them, especially when it comes to Obama. They are lost to the dark side. Walk away ... walk away ...) :)
