For the past 2 weeks, 538/CNN/NYTimes/VOX/WaPO were claiming Ossoff was up by 2 to 7 points in all of their polls leading up to today's conclusion. Ossoff spent $23,000,000 in this campaign making it the most expensive U.S House contest in history. Lots of leftist hollywood liberal money, and of course from Democrat daddy, Soros.

But it wasn't enough. The #FakeNews polls, and $23 million all went down the drain as Handel is expected to win easily with most of the vote tallied in Georgia 6.

I can't wait until 2018 and 2020 when the Democrats wonder why their referendum, and "blue wave" never materialized.

http://www.ajc.com/news/state--regional-govt--politics/handel-defeats-ossoff-win-georgia-6th-district/lO6Ewa4vM1sbftMnQE9x6L/

Republican Karen Handel staved off a furious challenge from Democrat Jon Ossoff on Tuesday in a race to represent a suburban Atlanta seat in Congress, as the GOP and President Donald Trump avoided defeat in the most expensive U.S. House contest in history.

A former Georgia secretary of state, Handel emphasized her experience and roots in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District to defeat Ossoff and keep a seat that’s long been held by Republicans in GOP hands. She becomes Georgia’s first female Republican member of the U.S. House.

Please, keep putting these idiots like Kathy Griffin, Trevor Noah, Don Lemon Jr, Jake Tapper, Cuomo, Schumer, and Pelosi on Live TV. They are the best PR campaign for the Republican party yet.

My best guess is that Trump got the vote of screwed-over blue collar workers. In TX, blue collar workers are doing well so Trump had less appeal + he is a damn Yankee. In Midwest these people are hurting, so they voted for the protest candidate and handed him the victory. Trump lost Fort Bend county near Houston which has voted for Democrats...never before (at least since 1970's).

That's a good theory. Makes a lot of sense. I would add the 8 years of making white people the villain also didn't help.

Don't believe the fake news:

Republicans did about 30 pts worse in June than in Nov.

But they still won, despite all the McCarthyist Democrats turning out in droves to stop Orangehitler.

Also, Handel won by 5 pts in a district that only went for Trump by around 1.5%

Handel won by about 3.8 points by running away from Trump. Which was smart. It's a +9 Republican district so she played toward old Republican ideas. And Republicans did a great job of getting out their vote. When reports were out about turnout being very high--that was actually bad news for Dems as it meant the Reps got their vote out as well.

Right,it was only national news about Trumps pro-Handel tweets, right?

Ossoff ran away from Trump Bashing and still lost.

Meanwhile, at CNN:

Linda Sarsour

Amazing to remember that less than a year ago, the White House website had a whole page praising that Sharia advocate as a "champion", even after she called Sharia "reasonable" and said it "makes a lot of sense", and advocated violence including sexual mutilation against Ayaan Hirsi Ali. Democrats' plans regarding feminism seem to have drifted from equality to Islam.

"Democrats Seethe After Georgia Loss: ‘Our Brand Is Worse Than Trump’"

Perhaps in 2018, veiled "Champion" Linda Sarsour will ride a camel to Democrats' rescue, ululating in celebration of hijrah, and toss around more Petrodollar baksheesh with registered foreign agent Tony Podesta (D-KSA) and his brother John.

54   Goran_K   2017 Jun 21, 4:24pm

56   HEY YOU   2017 Jun 21, 4:49pm

I've been outside most of the day. Came in a few minutes ago & the Right is having a ball saying the Democrats are 0 for 4 & I'm loving it. The dumb Democrats choose to remain dumb by doing the same old crap over & over.
Democrats should no longer be called a political party. "Social club" would be a much better description.
"Too Bad" as they pat each on the back & congratulate each other for a good effort.. "We'll get 'em next time."

57   HEY YOU   2017 Jun 21, 5:09pm

Just stumbled onto this.
"The record spending by Democrats in Georgia stands in sharp contrast to how the Democratic party and its various committees and PACs funded special elections in Kansas and Montana earlier this year, when progressive candidates championed by Sanders received little financial support -- but unlike Ossoff, finished ahead of expectations."
Two words for the Stupid Democrats that can't be said enough,
Bernie Sanders!

"While political observers turned the Georgia race into an early referendum on the Donald Trump administration, the race’s result will further complicate the struggle inside the Democratic Party, still deeply divided about how to move forward after historic defeats in November that gave the Republicans the White House, both chambers of Congress and 32 state legislatures."
"Can't fix stupid!"

Pisses me off when bleeding heart liberals are too retarded to see a winning strategy.
65 million? voted Democrat but I couldn't get one to openly & aggressively BOYCOTT all Republicans.
I would be as hard on a Democratic Administration as the Republican fubar.

WTF is wrong with Trump? Speaking in Iowa just now, in the opening, he said Iowa is home to some great wrestlers.

Yes I noticed that with the "traditional" GOP voter base, Trump did horribly, worse than Romney. He lost counties in Texas that Romney won, and also barely won midwest counties that he should have won by 10+ points. In my old area, Orange County, they voted blue for the first time in 60+ years.

Conversely he also flipped 200+ Democrat counties to GOP. Weird right?

My best guess is that Trump got the vote of screwed-over blue collar workers. In TX, blue collar workers are doing well so Trump had less appeal + he is a damn Yankee. It's much simpler than that. Trump got all the dumb fuck Christian vote, because he ran as an anti-abortion Republican, ready to save us from the Brown enemy at our gates. That time tested strategy that gets um every time

Don't ever underestimate the power of propaganda.

You're losing it. Is anyone actually surprised that Georgia elected the Republican?

How exactly is this confirmation that Big Money doesn't always win elections? Are you claiming the Republican wasn't backed by Big Money?

So how does that explain the 200+ counties who voted for Obama, then flipped for Trump?

Were they racist Christians then, or only after they voted for Trump?

72   joeyjojojunior   2017 Jun 22, 12:22pm

Or maybe Trump got out the dumb fuck Christian vote better than a Morman could?

President Obama won a majority twice, the first President to do that since Reagan and the first Democrat since FDR. He beat two white Republicans who campaigned against abortion.

For those who insist on distorting every election result through the lens of racism, consider that President Trump is often called orange. If you want to look at it that way, then the alleged racist bias must be against white candidates, because brown or orange candidates beat white candidates three times out of three.

Or it could be that the winning candidates promised (whether honestly or not) better policies than their opponents. Just a thought. I remember all three campaigns vividly, with substantive policy differences, but I read a lot so that's what I tend to remember most.

Hmm, it's not looking good to be honest. Dems are still doubling down on criticizing the whole white race for "privilege" (even lumping in working class whites), and unless things change drastically in the next 100 years, whites will continue being the largest voting demographic.

Also Generation Z (adults born after 1995) is projected to be the most moderate/conservative group in the past 60 years.

Not looking good at all.

78   curious2   2017 Jun 22, 2:36pm

Goran_K says

Generation Z (adults born after 1995)...

will live to see Belgium and France fall to hijrah, including an exodus of non-Muslims to places that did not import so many migrants. That sobering experience will teach a deep skepticism of millenial and boomer majorities.

MSM called candidate Trump crazy when he drew attention to a Muslim couple that the Democrats had showcased on stage at their convention. In fact, that episode showed yet again his persuasion skills. He was highlighting the Democrats' connections to Islam, including candidate Clinton's Saudi sponsors, and her fundraising dinner co-hosted by a registered foreign agent (Tony Podesta, D-KSA). (Some alleged financial connections between Khizr Khan and the Clintons, and Democrats denied those, but the Clinton-KSA connections stood.) Her own personal legal work including e-mail server and taxes were done by a DC law firm that has offices in KSA and represents Saudi interests in the USA. Democrats have walked into that trap, in fact they insist on shouting their fealty to Islam.

Time will tell how that works out. The most dire warnings about AGW will get disproved, whether because they're wrong or because technology including geo-engineering will advance, but Generation Z will see that President Trump was right about Islam.

79   Goran_K   2017 Jun 22, 2:53pm

but Generation Z will see that President Trump was right about Islam.

It's almost a certainty, which is another reason why I do not see a bright future for the Democrat party. Their whole hearted embrace of Islam and Sharia is a huge strategic blunder for a party that is looking to gain back power in the U.S.

Moderate Democrats are not big fans of Islam by any poll you can find, in fact they aren't even fans of refugee relocation or illegal immigration, both platforms that Democrats have embraced.
