#TDS is real.
IS that the reason for the Session's move, to give the big money another chance to buy ?
How much is it down since Friday ?
I tried many times, over the past few years, to start some discussions about Cannabis in this open air prison once known as the land of the free. I would have loved to have some discussions and opinions bounced about on the topic, but all Patrick.net has ever done is marginalize me for it. Your loss, not mine. In the past five weeks I’ve accelerated my timeline from retiring at forty, to possibly some time later this year.
The site really more involved into politics these days, because that is what is relevant to everyday life. Considering that this kind of talk gets heavily prosecuted by employers, government, etc... We can't all live in 2006 crash forever.

Dude, he's offering the Pat.net style forum for FREE including Tech support.
Take it and start a "Profit off the coming Marijuana Boom" site.
I tease you sometimes because sometimes you come off as "Marijuana will save the world", but I would link articles and shit, even though I don't care much about weed though I think it should be legalized 100%.
Frankly I think it should be more like patrick.net/marijuana or patrick.net/thedonald or patrick.ne...
No matter how far down the wrong path ‘they’ have taken on this issue, the only correct response is to walk it back immediately. I’ve never said that “Marijuana will save the World”. What I have said is that ending Prohibition is all benefits and no costs. So who the hell is running the War on Drugs, and why and how do they continue eith it?
I couldn’t give less a fuck if you take up an anti-American position because you think you’re teasing me. You can’t tease me. I’m unteasable.
Cannabis/Hemp Prohibition has far reaching implications, all of which are directly harmful to every citizen, past and present, and a spit to the face of Freedom.
Is there ANYONE who posts on Pat.net that is against legalization of marijuana?

Why do you need the Federal Government to intervene with citizens who desire to cultivate flowers on their private property.
Only Failed Losers cower about what their employers may do.
Real Americans tell them to fuck straight off with that anti-American bullshit

Legalization means not interfering, but I apologize if I interrupted your virtue signaling

So basically Patrick is a big
I’m growing more and more curious as to why @Patrick is so afraid to address this directly. Any of it.
Whatever you do @patrick, do not let the site fall by the wayside. You have done way too much good work to let that happen. Yes, my opinion is that mistakes have been made. Too much flip-flopping and failed experimentation(*), and a loss of editorial emphasis and consistency. And I think I have made clear what I think the recipe for success is, in my long list of suggestions on how to make Patnet great again. But do not let it be all for naught. I send my best hopes and wishes that Patnet will rise to greatness once again.
(*) Come to think of it, I can't help but think that the latest offer to fork a bunch of independent sites with separate masters and therefore separate and different editorial rules is just another experiment intended to see what works. Patrick, I have said before that you are like Marissa Mayer who always wanted to tweak the Google homepage and see what worked. The difference is that she had millions of users and it was easy to split-test small changes in sep...

Every Trump supporter I know is basically a libertarian. His supporters want legalization. You are preaching to the choir. Sorry if I ruined your fuck Trump supporters rampage this AM.

Be civil or GTFO. Seriously, this is B@llsh*t behavior. Go find somewhere else to troll if you can't stick to the topics.
You're being a dick, Goran_K.!
What is the focus of this site now that it's not about the housing bubble?

How can you keep the site as it is and also create all these other sites without diluting the entirety? This is already a site with a minuscule audience. How are a multitude of micro sites with next to no viewership going to grow? They will never get the necessary traffic.

As to the thread topic,
I don't know if it's a great idea overall Patrick. You have to watch out what you associate with your name, now that's it's all out there. Someone could start a very toxic sub-forum with very controversial stuff. Say it gets extremely popular, you could have a problem on your hands with such content associated with your name. I wouldn't expose myself to the risk honestly.

Anyone have a particular love of a topic and want to be a co-founder of a clone based on that topic? You'd be moderator-god, and own half of the rights to the domain name and the database (the source code would remain open source and available to the public for free). I do the tech, you do writing, moderation, and marketing.
The goal would be to build traffic and revenue (probably advertising) and then sell the thing ASAP, splitting the proceeds.
If you're interested, what topic would it be, and do you have a domain name to use?
