The American way to try a home before buying it is to take out a negatively amortizing liar loan for ten times what the house is worth, arrange a kickback with the seller, use a straw man as the signer, default on the loan, challenge the validity of the mortgage when the bank complains, demand a principle reduction and debt forgiveness, still don't pay the mortgage, squat until the sheriff kicks you out, gut the copper wiring and appliances when you vacate, and leave a steaming shit on the living room floor before you go.

Why mess with tradition? It works.
