I'll have to read up on the Sabra & Shatila refugee camp massacres.
Even the MSM consensus in the '80s was that Sharon did a naughty, but there may have been new evidence since then to throw some gray onto what looked pretty black-and-white at the time. Those photos of dead refugees really bothered me.

His negligence in that episode was later overtaken by events: the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin, the Second Palestinian Intifadah, and the SCOTUS decision to install W in the White House, strengthened Sharon's party and enabled Sharon to become Prime Minister. It is a rough neighborhood, with a long series of tragedies continuing into the present day.

Was he pitchforked by Michele Obama, or by Yanni Zionists? They must have gotten tired of his snoring in the intensive care vegetable patch.
Ariel Sharon led a long life, filled with accomplishments (whether good or bad, I'll let the record speak for itself), ending in 2006. If anybody can tell me what he gained by lingering in a coma for eight years thereafter, I'll thank Obamacare for "no lifetime caps."
