Open carry isn't the same as having gun stuffed in your wasteband.
Or brandishing a weapon.
I remember seeing a survey somewhere that support for the 2nd amendment was pretty equal across all ethnic groups
Yes: Most people support the Bill of Rights for everyone in their own ethnic group.
Yep good for me but not for thee. If that is the mentality

A gun that you cannot legally point at someone who is threatening you is no different than an illegal gun. And it should not matter if that someone threatening you is a cop or government agent. We are all equal under law according to the Fourteenth Amendment.

That is unlawfully brandishing a weapon and making death threats at people who are not threatening anyone. Those criminals should be locked up.
Several Posts Above: Black Guy with the semi-auto rifle has balls bigger than King Kong.
Post Above: Looks like a big day for Freedom in Missouri. Notice the desert camo boots. Like I said in another thread, Iraq is a gift that keeps on giving.
Chickens come home to roost.

Especially since he was part of an anti-Obama protest where Obama was due to speak in Arizona. His weapons were not confiscated as he was protesting in a civil manner. However several white Tea Party members did have their weapons confiscated while peacefully protesting Obama at subsequent events.

It aint?
Now I'm all confused.

There is the difference- when gov't does it, it's legal
Isn't that a tattoo?
If you have a remote control or a flashlight, it could be a gun. Hardly matters if it's a tattoo or not.
Jeez that is the dumbest tattoo I've ever seen. Good thing it's daylight in the photo.
You want me to chime in on an asinine thread? I'll let your stupidity handle this one!
Not sure what the point is here
That guy is going to go to scratch his balls one day during a traffic stop and end up with a tag on his toe.
It wont matter what color he is.
And I have said before, the problem isn't Law enforcement. It's the over supply of Liberal Social majors who have nothing better to do, but weed out the real law men in this country. And replaced them with people that thinks law enforcement is all about their Criminal Justice associates degree that got in a Liberal college.
You're in Cali but you missed all the open carry gatherings which were happening couple of years ago all over the state? There were plenty of dudes of all possible colors openly carrying (unloaded) handguns.
Nothing, until someone decides to jump him and attack.
Then the black guy has the right to shoot him.
Didn't you learn anything from the zimmerman case?
Picture a young black man (or men) walking down the street in open carry. Tell me what happens next.
We'd need to know the context of the photo before passing judgement.
2 minutes prior, 2 minutes after, UltraHD Mpeg4 video if possible.

For all we know she/he has a bomb strapped onto it's stomach.
No context to draw any conclusion.
This is what bothers me, we are too militarized in this nation. That's not a free nation, we are one step away from being under a Saddam Hussein style military regime in this country. We'll still call it a Democracy of course, don't like to change labels.
I can understand why OP asks this question. Considering that 50% of black males are convicted of a crime, and crime sentences usually carry restrictions on gun ownership(at least temporarily though permanent in felony cases) I could see how one might beleive that black people don't have 2nd ammendment rights since they aren't legally allowed to carry guns.
It appears homicide rates are dropping for women, black or white, but not the men. I wonder why?

Testosterone maybe?
So it's the balls.
This thread is making me realize what a racist I am.
No wait,... scratch that. You are all race baiters. Yeah,...that's what it is. You're all race baiters.
(I knew it was one or the other)

Wait...you actually realized that you discard facts that don't fit your preconceived notions and bias? Congrats Marcus, that's some true progress.

While blacks have the highest rate of crimes, that number seems quite high. Do you have a source and what percentage of other males are convicted.? if true-that is extreme-I wonder if it is culture, hopelessness or just a way of life??
Does the 2nd Amendment apply to black people?
Only the few that aren't felons!

Sorry can't link from iphone . I can't find the 50% stat anymore. I did find a number of recent articles including a HufPo one that cites 1/3 of African American men going to prison at least once in their lifetime vs. 1/6 of Latinos and 1/17 of whites. Guessing Asians it's like 1/50.
And just an FYI, after meeting and associating with some distant future in laws, it's absolutely a cultural thing. I don't mean by race. I mean it's a family by family thing and soley bred out of pure ignorance. Basically one has to forcefully reject normal societal norms, anything taught in school, etc to be in a familial culture of crime.
Blacks simply tend to live in the same areas...there a monolithic trend amoungst AA. We see it in AA voting and we see it in the crime tendencies.
I would love to see a study done on crime stats of blacks who live in neighborhoods where blacks are less than 5% of the population. Id bet a whole lot of money that the level of AA committing crimes that reside in those areas is even lower than the rate of whites committing crimes.
I don't doubt that a higher percentage of black people go to prison than white people, but that doesn't mean they are necessarily committing more crime, right? Just arrested, prosecuted and sentenced to prison more often.
Hmmm... So, blacks get arrested more often... just because?
Perception makes reality. There is a feedback loop somewhere. If people is prejudiced against a certain group, there will be more arrests, making it a self-fulfilling prophecy.
It is hard to obtain crime statistics without linking offenses and convictions.

There is no doubt blacks commit more crime. No one disagrees. The question is why and how do we fix it?
Liberals who haven't seen the ghettos, think that blacks are being wronged. But these liberals are wrong as usual. Have them live on skid row for a few month out in LA, and if they are still alive after that, they'll have a different opinion on these people all together.
The question is why and how do we fix it?
It has more to do with the environment. Mind you, the wealthiest black men do not live in America.
The richest African American is a woman. I love Oprah, by the way.

The first thing that needs to be done is to make it a fucking crime to raise your hands.
I was taught that when a cop lights you up, you pull over, turn the stereo off, roll down the window, keep your hands on the steering wheel, and do what the cop says.
Anyone deviating from the above is either a criminal or an idiot.
Your apologies for criminals and idiots via sarcasm ring hollow.
If you really believe the point of view you are trying to convey via what I can only surmise you feel is hunorous(it's not), then you fit the definition of clueless elitist.....
That is you have no ability to understand when you are being played.
Ie you're a mark.
The question is why and how do we fix it?
"Why" is obvious if you have a room temperature IQ or above.
How we fix it is the difficult thing. Will the unrestrained invisible hand of the free market want to invest in tens of millions of Americans? (that's the GOP plan allegedly)
Do we need more government involvement in our economy? Like what they do in Sweden, Germany, etc? Is what they're doing even working for them??? Can their approach even scale to our 300M+ people???
Do we have the ability to actually organize the correct government measures -- with our completely fractured and polarized polity can we actually find the right page and all remain on it long enough to turn things around?
St Louis' Pruitt Igoe was government getting involved in the 50s, and they really f'd that up; 1960's Great Society stuff also resulted (AFAICT) in actual societal damage due to it (IMO...) over-rewarding family expansion of people already in poverty.
Gen Y is age ~14 to ~32 now. They're not inheriting the world their parents did, 1962 - 1980.
The U.S. net international investment position at the end of the first quarter of 2014 was
-$5,539.3 billion

And yet:
the more they sell us out, the richer the 1% gets. Things are f-ed up on so many levels it's tough ranking what's the priority.
We really need to back up about 200 years and start over again. Or at least I do, 40 quiet acres somewhere with water, soil and sun, off the grid.
The millenials truly are fucked. This is what too much late nigh Jon Stewart does to you.
Hint - Stewart(and Lewis Black) are acting. It's satire, not a lifestyle to be emulated. There no real danger they'll ever have a coronary on stage.

I think as a person she is nice. Don't care much for her kinda shows.
My question is what are Black Celebrities doing to stop the rioting. Oprah, LeBron, Kobe and a dozen others should go on TV and order the thugs to stop rioting. Not Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson, the crooks even Obama ignores.
I was taught that when a cop lights you up, you pull over, turn the stereo off, roll down the window, keep your hands on the steering wheel, and do what the cop says.

I didn't know that, but I would definitely obey the cop. Would I still be categorized as an idiot?

I don't think that's the reason. Prior to 1995 they were just as bad. I think it's the culture, dumb parents, and leaders like Jessie and Al who always attach racism to every problem.
