Picture a young black man (or men) walking down the street in open carry. Tell me what happens next.

Are we talking 3/5 of a gun, as per the 'Stooshun?

2   MisdemeanorRebel   2014 Aug 13, 9:23am

They shoot him and the Media uses a picture of him giving a middle finger, as opposed to his honor student graduation or a picture of him working at a Food Pantry.

3   smaulgld   2014 Aug 13, 9:24am

I don't understand the question. I remember seeing a survey somewhere that support for the 2nd amendment was pretty equal across all ethnic groups

4   lakermania   2014 Aug 13, 9:31am

..... a whiny white liberal confronts him and calls him a Tea Party nut who shouldn't carry dangerous big guns. True story bro..

All depends on how corrupt and evil the local police and state police are. In most of this country, the answer is a resounding no. And it's not liberals stopping them like lakermania suggests. It's the police.

Yes: Most people support the Bill of Rights for everyone in their own ethnic group.

Open carry isn't the same as having gun stuffed in your wasteband.

A gun that you cannot legally point at someone who is threatening you is no different than an illegal gun. And it should not matter if that someone threatening you is a cop or government agent. We are all equal under law according to the Fourteenth Amendment.

That is unlawfully brandishing a weapon and making death threats at people who are not threatening anyone. Those criminals should be locked up.

Several Posts Above: Black Guy with the semi-auto rifle has balls bigger than King Kong.

Post Above: Looks like a big day for Freedom in Missouri. Notice the desert camo boots. Like I said in another thread, Iraq is a gift that keeps on giving.

Chickens come home to roost.

Based on Clive Bundy, it's not that they carry guns...it's that they don't carry enough of them!

Especially since he was part of an anti-Obama protest where Obama was due to speak in Arizona. His weapons were not confiscated as he was protesting in a civil manner. However several white Tea Party members did have their weapons confiscated while peacefully protesting Obama at subsequent events.

There is the difference- when gov't does it, it's legal

If you have a remote control or a flashlight, it could be a gun. Hardly matters if it's a tattoo or not.

Jeez that is the dumbest tattoo I've ever seen. Good thing it's daylight in the photo.

That guy is going to go to scratch his balls one day during a traffic stop and end up with a tag on his toe.

It wont matter what color he is.

And I have said before, the problem isn't Law enforcement. It's the over supply of Liberal Social majors who have nothing better to do, but weed out the real law men in this country. And replaced them with people that thinks law enforcement is all about their Criminal Justice associates degree that got in a Liberal college.

22   RWSGFY   2014 Aug 14, 6:41am

You're in Cali but you missed all the open carry gatherings which were happening couple of years ago all over the state? There were plenty of dudes of all possible colors openly carrying (unloaded) handguns.

This is what bothers me, we are too militarized in this nation. That's not a free nation, we are one step away from being under a Saddam Hussein style military regime in this country. We'll still call it a Democracy of course, don't like to change labels.

24   Y   2014 Aug 14, 8:15am

Nothing, until someone decides to jump him and attack.
Then the black guy has the right to shoot him.
Didn't you learn anything from the zimmerman case?

We'd need to know the context of the photo before passing judgement.
2 minutes prior, 2 minutes after, UltraHD Mpeg4 video if possible.

For all we know she/he has a bomb strapped onto it's stomach.
No context to draw any conclusion.

I can understand why OP asks this question. Considering that 50% of black males are convicted of a crime, and crime sentences usually carry restrictions on gun ownership(at least temporarily though permanent in felony cases) I could see how one might beleive that black people don't have 2nd ammendment rights since they aren't legally allowed to carry guns.

28   Strategist   2014 Aug 14, 11:22am

It appears homicide rates are dropping for women, black or white, but not the men. I wonder why?

This thread is making me realize what a racist I am.

No wait,... scratch that. You are all race baiters. Yeah,...that's what it is. You're all race baiters.

(I knew it was one or the other)

Wait...you actually realized that you discard facts that don't fit your preconceived notions and bias? Congrats Marcus, that's some true progress.

While blacks have the highest rate of crimes, that number seems quite high. Do you have a source and what percentage of other males are convicted.? if true-that is extreme-I wonder if it is culture, hopelessness or just a way of life??

Sorry can't link from iphone . I can't find the 50% stat anymore. I did find a number of recent articles including a HufPo one that cites 1/3 of African American men going to prison at least once in their lifetime vs. 1/6 of Latinos and 1/17 of whites. Guessing Asians it's like 1/50.

And just an FYI, after meeting and associating with some distant future in laws, it's absolutely a cultural thing. I don't mean by race. I mean it's a family by family thing and soley bred out of pure ignorance. Basically one has to forcefully reject normal societal norms, anything taught in school, etc to be in a familial culture of crime.

Blacks simply tend to live in the same areas...there a monolithic trend amoungst AA. We see it in AA voting and we see it in the crime tendencies.

I would love to see a study done on crime stats of blacks who live in neighborhoods where blacks are less than 5% of the population. Id bet a whole lot of money that the level of AA committing crimes that reside in those areas is even lower than the rate of whites committing crimes.

37   bg1   2014 Aug 16, 2:24am

I don't doubt that a higher percentage of black people go to prison than white people, but that doesn't mean they are necessarily committing more crime, right? Just arrested, prosecuted and sentenced to prison more often.

Hmmm... So, blacks get arrested more often... just because?

Perception makes reality. There is a feedback loop somewhere. If people is prejudiced against a certain group, there will be more arrests, making it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

It is hard to obtain crime statistics without linking offenses and convictions.

There is no doubt blacks commit more crime. No one disagrees. The question is why and how do we fix it?

40   FortWayne   2014 Aug 16, 4:25am

Liberals who haven't seen the ghettos, think that blacks are being wronged. But these liberals are wrong as usual. Have them live on skid row for a few month out in LA, and if they are still alive after that, they'll have a different opinion on these people all together.
