Reuters could not immediately confirm the content of the video, which showed a man resembling airman Mouath al-Kasaesbeh standing in a black cage before being set ablaze. But the reaction of the Jordanian authorities made clear they treated it as genuine.

The Japanese beheaded this guy:

in '43 and we found out about it when a soldier's diary was captured later that year.

That ratcheted up the brutality, along with this photo:

which was found in '44.

It's like these ISIS clowns are a false-flag operation designed to instigate the west into wiping out the Iraq and Syria populations altogether.

"Death solves all problems - no man, no problem" as Stalin is alleged to have said.

'No trees, no place to hide' from our drones for that matter.

The only plausible theory I have read is that they're trying to bring down heavy punishment on themselves and that whole area of the world, so that the caliphate can rise from the ashes.

Either that, or they're operating under the belief that there's no such thing as bad publicity. Given the attention these ghastly stunts are getting, they are getting publicity in spades.

Meanwhile, the Mexican drug cartels are even worse, but they get little attention lately.

Jordan will retaliate by executing that broad rahaswi and "5 others." They should consider implementing the fire approach to send ISIS a message that they can clearly comprehend.

Well Dan, SBH , still think we should not drone these terrorists?

5   zzyzzx   2015 Feb 3, 4:58pm

Anyone got a link to the video? All I can find is watered down versions on YouTube.

I have no problem droning these primitive fucks back into the stone age.

Now lets convince that guy with the red convertible.

I have no problem carpet bombing them into the stone age. Or Dresden or Tokyo style firebombing.

Obama will order to drop 1 gallon of napalm on them and declare the mission accomplished.

You don't get the fundamentalist Islamic mindset or worldview.

These brutal jihadi snuff films are like porn for them. These brutal acts and territory gains from ISIS drives up recruitment.

Saddam kept these animals under control by treating them as animals, and mercilessly killing them. We treat them as humans with full human rights.
There is no one more dumb than us. No one.

Of particular distrurbance is that it aids in recruitment from the western countries as well - talk about the enemy from within.

Jordan seems to be the exception to the rule.

I thought the height of stupidity was Irish idiots I knew in high school who tried to move to Ireland and join the IRA.

This is a whole new dimension of stupidity: a year or two of chronic diarrhea and parasites, with no sex (unless you count your hairy bunk buddy), with no cigarettes or booze, then death, possibly by drone. Weren't there stories of western ISIS recruits who complained they had no air conditioning?

Although it did my heart good to read of the execution of several dozen disenchanted European recruits by ISIS.

Any proof that these people can run power and utilities, collect taxes, and provide clean water? That seems like a larger determinant of how long they'll last.

I'm more worried about what our conservatives will do than I am about jihadi nutjobs stateside. As with all the Saddam "rape room" talk, it gets mighty expensive when you have an enemy who is sufficiently vile, as these guys certainly are, and we have seen that conservatives in rural Iowa will flip their shit and demand a war if it reaches a certain point - convinced as they are that ISIS is coming to get them next.

But the liberals are not a worry?
