On Sunday June 12, 2016AD a man walks into a bar and kills 49 people before the cops killed him.

But it is important to understand the events that led up to this tragedy.

What happened was batshit crazy bleeding heart liberals thought it was a good idea to bring Afghani Islamic "refugees" who are products of a violent religion to this country where they have exploited our freedom and used it against us. The solution must include a correction of the original mistake. These refugees need to be returned to their own country.

Don't ask law abiding Americans to give up their freedom because bleeding heart librals lost control of the rule of law by bringing Islamic terrorists here and giving them asylum in the land of Liberty.

I know that Jesus was (is, I guess) the Prince of Peace, but our Christian nation has been engaged in continuous overseas wars since 1941 - that was 75 years - and has been at war for 222 out of its 239 years. It's possible that the US is not a Christian nation, or that The Lord is a more hard-nosed 20mm chain-gun wielding bad-ass than the Bible portrays.

Many of these wars and military occupations, particularly since 1979, were in Muslim countries.

In the course of spreading democracy and the principles of the Prince of Peace, we turned the other cheek in Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria and Kuwait and spread His word of love through covert operations and military base presences in many other Muslim countries (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain).

It is quite stirring to see how we're spreading Christian principles using belt-fed means in so many Muslim countries! Just as the Bible commands!

Anyway, when you go to these places, you are generally taking sides, and also need translators and informants from the other side. And if you lose, or leave, many thousands of these people will be dead meat if you leave them behind. So you give them visas: Not only because it's the right thing, but because if you hesitate to do so, word gets around, which is a very bad thing the next time you want local cooperation.

I am not aware that the Son of God, who died on the cross for our sins, advocated leaving your friends behind to die after they have helped your cause. But I also don't know what calibre Jesus recommended for self-defense, or whether He preferred JHP or round-nosed, let alone the question of +P loads with 9mm, or something like a 180-grain 10mm round: I leave these questions to Biblical scholarship.

Incidentally, this is why there was a huge wave of Korean immigrants in the 1950s, Vietnamese in the 1960s and 70s, Iranians in the late 1970s, Lebanese and Central Americans in the 1980s, and so on: You make war, you take on a humanitarian burden.

Want fewer Muslim immigrants? Then oppose all wars and covert action in Muslim countries.

The nice thing about Trump is that he has given hope to so much genetic trash.

As a nation of citizens, I believe most of us hold protestant leanings. But the military industrial complex does not run on Peace, nor knows anything of Christ. You are confusing citizens with their government. Two VERY different things.

Nope, we didn't. I didn't.

What happened is that the NRA and conservatives blocked the gun control laws that have been demonstrated to be 100% effective at preventing mass shootings by Australia. As a result, we've had 160 mass shootings since 2000 according to the FBI and the vast majority of them had nothing to do with Islam.

Yes, Islam is bad. So are freely available guns. You want to end crazies killing innocent people including children? Then the U.S. must adopt the Australian gun control laws. It's that simple. The effectiveness of these laws have already been proven for two decades. To deny their effectiveness is a bold face lie.

Too late. You conservatives stole Americans' freedom when you passed the USA Patriot Act and the NDAA. You didn't ask us to give up those freedoms. You stole them.

So fuck any conservative who's now afraid that the anti-terrorism laws that stole our liberties are now going to take away your guns. You should have thought of that when you gave the executive branch unlimited power and zero accountability.

I get a warm fuzzy every time a conservative pisses his pants that the draconian anti-terrorism laws he pushed are now threatening his gun ownership.

Wholeheartedly agree. I do oppose any foreign deployment of American military or operatives outside of declared war by United States Congress. We need to end these military interventions immediately and apologize to the world (not for carrying a big stick but for beating people with it under to guise of promoting democracy). In fact, even before World War II the United States forced Japan into attacking us by embargoing them. Even non-violent interventions in the affairs of other nations need to stop. I'm glad we agree Cab.

How long have those laws been in place? How many bombing/drone campaigns has Australia conducted in the Middle East? How many Middle Easterner's have been admitted to Australia? Do you have any concept of the term "blowback"?

I wholeheartedly oppose these unconstitutional pieces of legislative trash. I am more of a libertarian like you.

Yes, and I also realize that the vast majority of mass shootings in the United States have not been the result of blowback or Islam. Hence, merely addressing Islam is not going to put a dent in mass shootings. Gun controls laws like those that solved the problem in Australia are needed.

Then you should realize that there are far more important freedoms, like not being raped by cops and prison guards, that have been lost. And yes, rape is the legally correct term.
