This is absolutely wonderful news! I didn't expect to be cheered up by anything this weekend. I could not care less if every Hollywood star who has an active career simply disappeared. Even if that means losing the last season of some decent series. There are talented table wait staff all over LA who I would cheer for.

It is much like the music industry. Huge groups like U2 or Paul McCartney have gone from making tens of millions in album sales from each record to zip zilch. Now, the money comes only from touring, merchandise, and cross-marketing - and they are the lucky ones. Many groups are simply gone. The parking garage at the metro stop was nearly full when we got there. People were told to take the metro because the organizers realized this. The whole March route was packed with people, and you couldn't walk within a block of the route because there were people packed from wall to wall. Keep on making dumb assumptions.
