While I would generally agree with you, I am not sure anymore that this will come from the left. I think it will be whichever political party deftly uses this issue as a wedge in the electorate to solidify its base. The political parties are so close, that a single issue like this- if it became the bastion of just one party - would almost solidify that party's chances in the future, regardless of demographics. Look at salon.com, politico, nytimes, NR, etc.. - all have articles that have contemplated male rights issues in the past but basically tow the feminist or pro-life line (left wing - because feminism is about making up for past wrongs, perceived lack of access to birth control, etc.. right wing- religious reasons).

And yet - if you look at the comments on almost EVERY single article there is very little reason to think that the average person would not support some form of equivalent rights for men.

And, no, I don't think many people believe anymore that sexual assault on colleges is 40x higher than the national average. It is all BS.
And now, the left wants to make it even easier than ever to expel a student for alleged assault (that is usually not provable in an actual court of law).

While the re-election of Trump may seem scary, I think he is actually smart enough to find these wedge issues and make it happen. We will see.
Or he will just implode. :)

If median price is 529K with 338/sf to buy and the median rent is about 2.2K, then roughly the rent price per sqft would be roughly 1.40

first property:
https://www.redfin.com/CA/Concord/1058-Mohr-Ln-94518/unit-C/home/799389

1.40 x 870 sq ft. would be about 1220/month....monthly nut for this place is 1770/month, assuming 20% down at current interest rate. Place needs 15-20K work to fix

second property
https://www.redfin.com/CA/Concord/1921-Whitman-Rd-94518/home/794102

1.40 x 1660 sq ft would be 2324...monthly nut for this place is 4087/month, assuming 20% down at current interest rate. Not a lot of pics, but kitchen needs 10-15k minimum to fix and make habitable.

third property
https://www.redfin.com/CA/Concord/1580-Frisbie-Ct-94520/unit-15/home/1510431

1.4 x 976(assumed) sq ft would be 1366.4...monthly nut is 1721/month assuming 20% down at current interest rate. More pics, none too pleasing, kitchen and bath need work to look civilized, probably 20-25K

fourth property

1.4x 1406 sq ft would be 1968.4....monthly nut is 2341/month assuming 20% down at current interest rate. Needs minimum 40K work to be attractive. Listing agent/owner has no concept of staging.

Probably, more of these properties would be better for a fix and flip. Economics don't make sense for investment on any of these properties. Highly doubtful that they would be cashflow positive.

I've seen better in Concord, but agreed that Concord, to live, isn't all that. Would be far from my first choice if I relocated to the Bay Area down the road. Almost makes Fremont seem attractive.

Trumpligula thinking to change that last part though as a gift from his administration to the chosen few.

Tumpigula administration will give many gifts to the chosen few. I would expect nothing less. It's what he said all along if you paid attention. It's what the msm reported all along. Obviously fake news. If it's not on breitbart it's just not true.

The trumptards that only listened to trump when he said he would throw the brown people out and put the black people in jail to make armerica white again are in for a long series of rude surprises. When the trumptards find the new love canal bubbling in their back yards and their health care cancelled they might consider that when trump said he would make america great again they forgot to ask for who. The belated and far too late answer is the .1% and especially the .01%.

Obama brought back "Visa Express" - in fact, it's even worse than Clinton-Bush Fast Track for Saudis

Terrorism: President Obama has quietly revived a Saudi visa program like the one that let the 9/11 hijackers into the U.S. Only, his relies on the Saudi government to vet visitors.

It's as if the horrific attacks of 11 years ago never happened, and 15 Saudi terrorists never infiltrated the country on rubber-stamped visas.

How could this administration be so reckless about national security?

Obama recently struck a deal to fast-track more Saudi students for U.S. entry during a White House meeting with the Saudi interior minister, who has lobbied for more visas.

Shockingly, the president agreed to accept Saudi applicants into the Global Entry trusted traveler program, which means he trusts Saudis more than Germans or French — who aren't included in the program.

Trump already announced he intends "Extreme Vetting" for Pakistan, Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia.

just 36 percent of the countrys outputjust a little more than one-third of the nations economic activity

It's ironic to think how much lower a percentage of the country's economic output they will have after Trump is done with them. I wonder what the trade wars will do for the country's agricultural exports. Note how important China and Mexico trade are to our agricultural communities.

80347   anonymous   2017 Jan 31, 8:51am

It's not Politically Correct to say, but it is an absolute fact: This country was built by Mexicans and domestic , drug using Labor. The two groups of people this country is literally at war with. Hell of a way to repay them with a thanks for having done all the heavy lifting and hard work.

80348   Shaman   2017 Jan 31, 8:53am

Funny how that works. The ruling costal elite were feathering their own nests at the expense of the rest of the country. When you outsource most of the jobs in middle and southern America, of course the economic activity will be less! Add to that the high finance and legal activity is mostly in the blue areas and it's a no brainer.
Problem is, you can take away their money but poor people still get a vote!
Funny, isn't it the Leftists who are always crowing about poor voter disenfranchisement? And here's an article explaining how they really feel.

80349   anonymous   2017 Jan 31, 8:53am

So "Extreme Vetting " for the countrys who actually send us their murderous terrorists. And a full ban for a few small ancillary countries of little to no significance.

And you're defending it?

"Donald Trump is dangerously mentally ill and temperamentally incapable of being president," says Gartner

Maybe Gartner should have told the DNC super delegates that they needed to vote for Bernie to avoid a Trump presidency. Now it's too late.

The only thing that Trump detractors can do is to direct their rage at the DNC leadership and demand huge reforms. If they fail to do this, Trump will be a two-term president. If Hillary Clinton runs again, Trump will be reelected. There's a lesson to be learned here, and it's not that bitching about Trump is going to work.
