Of course I paid Federal income taxes

How much income tax are we talking here? Did you pay your fair share in real dollars, not percentages?

82611   Rew   2017 Apr 19, 6:02pm

Cannot wait for Colbert and Stewart on this.

Is there a point you're trying to make?

Trying to see if you are pulling your own weight or if you are actually part of the group you are complaining about.

The fair share is about $10k for you and your wife.

What if I paid way more than that?

If you paid way more in federal income tax - not all the other taxes, you get a cookie and a congratulations.
Otherwise, you get a haha!
Which will it be?

STUDY: 89% of Media Negative Towards President Trump

This shows how far to right wing our media has drifted. If the media were more honest, it would be closer to 100%.

Trump intentionally lies and worse almost constantly to get negative coverage so that he can say the media is "fake news" giving him the right to ignore them. We already have no media check on the executive becasue of the degree to which he tries to train us to believe that there is no such thing as truth or facts. That way when he does something really really bad, you know, like putting a climate change denier in charge of the EPA, or a private vouchers and charter schools advocate in charge of education policy, we will feel like it's just like any other day in the Trump Presidency.

Some call it brilliance, others call it pure evil.

Wasn't your question FEDERAL income tax only?

Yes, but that doesn't mean that it's the question you chose to pretend to answer. That's why I was verifying.

There should be a YuuGGeee outrage. After all, Obama created MILLIONS of jobs, raised hourly wages, grew the stock market, saved us all $2500 on our health insurance premiums, so there should be TONS more taxpayers.... right???

Oops.....

There really should be TONS more taxpayers. The percentage of taxpayers is almost the same since WWII. The last 70 years are all Obama's fault. Everyone knows that.

Of course since I shit canned the Television years ago, I'll just think it's funny as hell. When Trump shuts down all Television and only allows State ran Television.
I still wouldn't buy another TV, so it would be you guys problem. Haha!!!

I would prefer Trump to do the God damned cramming down our throats for a while Thank you very much, Liberal Pulp has gotten a tad grissely.

Does this mean we have to watch thousands of reruns of the Zapruder film while Kennedy's head goes "splat"?

Liddy is appropriately sociopathic and pathologically attention seeking for the role, however.

Beating up random airline passengers is a ratings bonanza right now. The next big thing in reality TV: any time an airline needs to clear some seats, a Faux Noise team of WWF wrestlers will grab the designated passengers, hurl them around like a Popeye cartoon, snap the necks, and drag the bloodied corpses off the plane. Synergies galore amid the gore: the Murdochs' media empire will have the first news crew on the scene of every lead story, plus the movie and book rights, including exclusive rights to the entire biography of every passenger. It's all in the contract of carriage, and coming soon to a plane and theater near you. It could even be the in flight movie, keeping the passengers on other flights in line.

Very few people can do that now.

Competition for resources available has gone up, money paid for real productivity has gone down in real terms, and the tax on entry to a career fucks students in the ass for at least 15 years on average now after they graduate (if supported financially by loans.) Fact is, population increase is just going to keep making this worse if a change isn't made to the program.

82627   lostand confused   2017 Apr 19, 10:21pm

Why not hire a bunch of hot naked blondes with giant boobs wearing only heels running around reciting the news and playing pingpong with their pussy? That will bring in the ratings!!

82628   FNWGMOBDVZXDNW   2017 Apr 20, 4:05am

Tucker Carlson has made a record number of career moves based on allegations of sexual abuse and fleeing women. Smart money says that the fat cherub set the whole thing in motion, trolling the elder Fox men with the sent of pussy. OReilly's smug is only rivaled by Carlson's smug. Now that the operation is nearly complete, the smug level is going to go off the charts.
If Carlson figures out that Hannity is gay, he will be able to troll that steroid infused neckless wonder out of a job too. Hannity will thank him when he realizes that he now has time to ream out his nostrils and stop that incessant whistling noise.

Right well, I can agree with some of this, but it would have to come with several addenda. One is assistance for paying for medical school for kids of not-wealthy families. Medical school debt is the greatest impediment to cheaper healthcare because it puts doctors in a corner of having to work for big healthcare corps which overcharge for services. It's one of the major reasons Innever applied to medical school, despite having excellent graduating qualifications including a 33 on my MCAT. Going another 200k into debt was just really scary. If you want doctors in your socialist paradise, you can't toss them to the capitalist wolves.

I lived in rockridge for 7yrs. Beautiful and extremely desirable part of the East Bay.

It sold for $250,000 over asking because $495,000 wasn't a real price.

The online real estate estimators have that property at around $950,000.

That location right off College Ave is beyond desirable. That's the heart of Rockridge.

If you really wanted to do it you could have. If nothing else the Health Professions Scholarship Program would have paid for med school in exchange for 4 years of military service. Option 2 move to texas and work for a year to establish residency. Med school tuitions in texas are the cheapest in the country by far. My sister took that option along with lots of CLEP tests, almost free community college for 2 years, in state university tuition for 2 years, and part time working. She managed to come out with way less than 200k in total loans for med and undergrad together. Option 3. overseas. med school in a lot of europe is not expensive. You obviously would need to be totally fluent in the language, although I met a doc who went to poland and studied in english. Not sure what school. Many of the european med school courses are pyramid. Everyone who wants to go takes the first year then competitive exams cut most from continuing on.

Since doctors pay is only 8% of health care spending I don't see exactly how medical school debt is the greatest impediment to cheaper health care. If doctors worked free spending would only drop 8%. College/Medical school debt is a huge problem for doctors, but has very little effect on overall health care spending. I know doctors who joke that they will be paying the last of their student loans with their first social security checks.

No it's not. Medicare for all is a poor idea. We need to decrease the costs of health care, not the cost of health care insurance.

THANKS OBAMA!!!

Obama has been president since 1975? You learn something new on patnet every single day.

Like everything you post the numbers don't add up. What percentage of people 18-34 are in school 1975 vs 2016? You do know that all those $25 an hour manufacturing jobs that high school grads took in the 1970's were long gone before Obama took office don't you? I doubt it. Oh my look at that 30% drop in manufacturing jobs under Obama Bush.

In Nixons America one breadwinner could support whole family, small house 2 cars

The problem with that is, the house back then was 1000 sq. ft., today the Special Snowflakes feel they're entitled to 2500 sq ft McMansions. Plus, they can't just drive a simple car, it has to be a fully loaded SUV only a year old... Then add on a $200/month cable bill, a $100/month wireless bill, very few actually cook and either buy processed foods or go out to eat, etc...

All that takes extra dollars that wasn't spent in the Nixon era.

Add to that the cost of computers, electronics, cable, cell phones.
If you live exactly with the same technology and devices as in the Nixon era, you could live pretty well.

In it's current condition, barely $100K (mostly in the property value).

That's easy $20K in demolition and disposal. Perhaps 10 times that in the land of Regulations.

82646   Patrick   2017 Apr 20, 9:04am

1. The price is just for the land. The house is a scraper. The sale price would have been even higher without the additional cost to remove that shack.
2. The article is one of tens of thousands placed by realtor scum in a propaganda move to give the impression that the housing market is so hot that houses go for over asking.
3. They would never have accepted their asking price. It was a fraud specifically designed to manipulate public opinion. And it worked.
