That's the classic definition of "dumping" No, it's not good for us or any nation that is the target of dumping. I do not support dumping. However, because renewable energy is so beneficial to us, we should counter "dumping" not with tariffs, but subsidies of our own.

Solar is funny. If China wants to subsidize the manufacturing process of something in order to dominate the market, think about what the product is. It's something that used to be expensive and high tech, and is getting cheaper at a fast clip. I think we should be fine with their historic subsidy (it gave us cheaper panels when they were expensive). If they were trying to gain market share on something that was getting more expensive, that would be another story. We are subsidizing implementation (purchase), which think is dubious for the same reason (prices are falling). But, at least we have panels that pay a dividend sitting on our roofs.
What they have gained more than anything (IMO) is the knowledge on how to make them cheaper. That's worth something.

They are doing pretty well even without being open Sundays and their stuff is pretty good, hard to resist. In Germany businesses still can't be open on Sundays unless they are gas stations, restaurants, etc., or have a special one-time or permanent permit. You'd think though that a fast-food chain would benefit quite a bit from being open Sundays, but that's their choice, private investors are happy and there are not public stock holders since they are a private company ;)

Think about it, these fairy tales as you call them, have made a world a better place. They've created societies (America), a greatest nation in the world was based on those fairytales. Whirlpool to Add 200 Jobs After Trump Tariff Decision.

Whirlpool Corporation announced Tuesday that it will add 200 jobs to its Ohio facility after President Donald Trump’s administration placed a tariff on washing machines entering the United States.

The new employees will work at a factory in Clyde, Ohio. Whirlpool also promised to make more investments in manufacturing and innovation.

“This is a victory for American workers and consumers alike,” CEO Jeff Fettig said in a statement on Monday.
