Because it's NOT an Executive branch memo, so he can't release it. Here's some education for a few of you:
trump can't actually force the release.
Not his report TO release/declassify.
We have discussed the process numerous times. The Committee has the authority to release it PENDING POTU and Nat Security Council and other agencies approval (Protecting personnel undercover and operations ongoing as well).
Exec Branch has 5 days to approve or reject release (or indicate portions which might be dangerous to personnel if released).
After 5 days, the whole House can vote to force release.
Should the Committee vote to NOT release it gets complicated, but POTUS simply CAN NOT just declassify and release it because he has NO AUTHORITY to do so since it isn't an EXEC Branch document.
Is that clear enough?
I ponder when does Donald Trump finally own this chaos in the eyes of his Ardent supporters?
It's funny, now that the memo is apparently going to be released, you see Rep. Congressmen walking back their comments about how "shocking" and "explosive" it's going to be.
Trump was the non-politician. Guess what, he's now a politician. Again, I hate them all. The power corrupts.
Really?
Where was that posted?
I was wrong. It's now Trump. I honestly would wipe away all the stock market gains I got if I never had to see his face again.

House Speaker Paul Ryan met with Republicans on Tuesday and told them to avoid overstating the findings that are contained in a classified House intelligence committee memo

OK so tell us what resigning does to help him w.r.t. the memo. Does resigning grant him some sort of immunity?

Lawmakers who have seen the memo are calling for its immediate release, while the phrases "explosive," "shocking," "troubling," and "alarming" have all been used in all sincerity. One congressman even likened the report's details to KGB activity in Russia. “It is so alarming the American people have to see this,” Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan told Fox News.
“It's troubling. It is shocking,” North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows said. “Part of me wishes that I didn't read it because I don’t want to believe that those kinds of things could be happening in this country that I call home and love so much.”
“I believe the consequence of its release will be major changes in people currently working at the FBI and the Department of Justice,” he said, referencing DOJ officials Rod Rosenstein and Bruce Ohr.
Meanwhile, Rep. Matt Gatetz (R-FL) said not only will the release of this memo result in DOJ firing, but "people will go to jail."
Of all the recent developments in the ongoing investigation(s), this one is on the cusp of turning into a genuine happening.
