By the end of January, SNAP will be defunded. Emergency funds may cover part of February. WIC to be defunded even sooner!
How long will Pelosi continue to value potential illegal immigrants over her own poverty-stricken constituents?

She'll do it forever. Democrats don't give a shit about Americans, they are wealthy fucking elite that wants obedient slaves, not free people. They want to recreate socialistic bondage to rival former Soviet Union and current North Korea. It's a quest for power, how badly everyone is fucked matters not to them.

Ripped off from another thread:

So this was discussed at a family gathering last night, one of my relatives works in social services. The issue I brought up is, will the IRS stop collecting taxes? They have not that I know of, so the money is still coming in. They've just stopped spending it. As far as I know, any business that continues to collect for services, but stops offering them is committing robbery or fraud. I think it's time we legitimize this shutdown, and stop the inflow to match the outflow.

She has a friend who works for Ice who isn't getting paid. Apparently Ice workers are told if they don't show up, they'll be jailed, even though they aren't getting paid. Doesn't sound like a job to me, sounds like slavery.

I call bullcrap, on the jailed part. And they are getting paid it will just be deferred.

Prediction: Car sales jump when the shutdown is over. Because many of the week to week Gov Workers will finally have enough cash at once for a down payment.

The justification is risk to national security or some shit. Call whatever you want, you don't work for Ice, he does.

Look the point is it takes two bullheaded sides to make this mess. Trump wants his damn wall and knows he isn’t getting re-elected without it. He’s got no reason to back down.
Pelosi and the Dems are firmly against the wall on ideological perhaps more approaching religious terms. But they have much to lose by keeping the government shut down. The longer it goes on, the less and less people who will support the action. At some point she will have to concede defeat and cooperate.

Or perhaps if she doesn’t, we could see an erosion of support for Democrats like never before. Can you imagine explaining to Shaniqua, Elmer, and Juanita that their gubmint welfare checks ain’t gonna come this year?
Might be the best thing for the country in the long run. Those folks will be forced to get jobs if they want to continue to eat.

Does this mean spit turned BBQ babies in the ghetto? Too bad, hoping they would grow up big enough to run into the pawlice line of fire for a lawsuit.

Indiana Grocery Store Can't Process Food Stamp Payments Due To Govt. Shutdown.

If people are getting this restless already, what will things look like when tens of millions of Americans are suddenly cut off from their primary source of food money?

In Clay City, Indiana, the local IGA discovered the problem last week. Initially, they thought it was a technical glitch.

“Our machines weren’t taking any EBT cards and we didn’t really know what was going on. We didn’t know if it was a technical issue. And then we found out it was due to the government shutting down,” Tristen Malone said. (source)

Now imagine what the situation would be like if suddenly, at the end of January, 42 million people across the country discover they won’t be able to feed their families.

It could be chaos very quickly. You know the saying, “We’re just nine meals away from anarchy.”

I'll give you one better. Imagine when the government collapses in on itself due to unsustainable debt, and a bloated public sector the size of a small country. What will all those people do when they suddenly become responsible for their own fucking lives? What will unemployable public sector workers do who's only skills involve leaching off their own citizens?

The longer this goes on the more practical a 25th Amendment solution becomes justifiable. (removal of inept president)

Fuck the 25th, just need the 1st and the 2nd and we can rid this once great country of the lot o'em. Send that fucking pestilence back to the dark ages where it belongs.

This president is more apt than all the dunces who want to remove him. Big government is mostly utterly useless. None of the leftoid paper pushers would make it one day in the private sector.

I do believe that it’s the Democrats who are refusing to negotiate, saying it’s their way or the highway. Trump will negotiate all sorts of things to get his wall. But they won’t even consider a compromise, so they own the impasse.

1 Store in Indiana? How about the 1000's of walmarts and dollar stores? Why use 1 store in Indiana as an example?

Aren't you Mr. Sunshine today!!

Glad I have plenty of brass/lead stored up for when that happens, it will be a target-rich environment!

You can fuck the 1st too, because without the 2nd, there is no 1st.

Trump can put the starving people on a pay per view deal and retire the national debt by selling subscriptions to PATRIOTS! who want to see slackers, jihadis and parasites starve to death and eat each other and their pets and kids, exactly as the Founding Fathers dreamed!
