The picture with "one gallon of gasoline contains about 31 million calories..." followed by "human daily caloric requirement is 1500 to 2500 depending on the person" is mixing up calories with kilocalories. When talking about human dietary intake, the government requires that food be incorrectly labeled. Those are kilocalories, not calories. Thus a person requires about 1,500,000 to 2,500,000 calories per day.

I think English now has the terms "gram calorie" or "small calorie" for real calories and "large calorie" for food. So needlessly confusing!

Anyway, a "small" calorie (which was used for the gasoline) is the energy required to heat a gram of water 1 degree celsius. If your body weighs 170 pounds (170 pounds under earth gravity = 77,000 grams), 2500 "small" calories of energy would be enough to raise your body temperature from 98.6 to 99.2 degrees fahrenheit — you would perish very quickly from lack of energy. Heck, the energy expended in chewing and digesting a huge hamburger would exceed its 900 "calorie" energy content.

So... the calories in a gallon of gasoline would "only" run your 2500/day body for 12.4 days. That's still an amazing amount of energy!

Cute. But everything on that list is doable only if 1st world population is allowed to stabilize and decrease to a level sustainable by renewables. However, the left is for unfettered immigration from 3rd world to 1st world, an do not give a damn about the increasing populations effects on pollution, resource depletion, and "carbon footprint." If the AGW really cared about the environment, they would back Trump in halting illegal immigration and would support tariff policies against high polluting exporters like China and India.

Don't forget South America.
I saw a new company today called "Brazilian Lumber Company".

I was wondering when the billions of logs Brazil cut down from their rain forests were going to make it to our markets.

How quickly we forget that the Bush Jr. Feds pretty much sent Gibson into ruination for using Brazilian Rosewood. That was harvested years and years before the mass clear cutting during the Al Gore "Save the Planet" rein of Terror, while he ignored the Earth's Rain forests getting clear cut during Obama's administration.

LOL! The AGW theory/story is remarkably similar to the biblical flooding due to humans doing evil . . . very anthropo-centric theory/story with no scientific proof / falsifiability . . . and entirely dependent on the "peer-review" among high priests.

The media live on attention, and fear gets attention, so they have a big incentive to exaggerate threats.

Yes, and consequently the most common topic in media is "WE ALL GONNA DIE TOMORROW"

Outrage and fear - the currency of the mainstream media. Similar to FUD messaging practiced by large companies: Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt
