Left wing non-governmental organizations and non-profits from the USA are working within Central America to ensure a continous flow of mestizo and indigenous to the USA.
Central America is "majority minority" with only about 20% of the population considered white or Caucasian and the remainder 80% being indigenous and mestizo. Notice that Panama, Columbia and Ecuador may be minority Caucasian, but they represent stable populations and not part of the caravan movement to the USA.

The mainstream media like NBC has walks a fine line by trying to showing the great work this group does (in order to attract more donations from the likes of George Soros types, liberal churches, Ford Foundation, etc.) without exposing them too much to the independent voters who realize this.

But I would agree the "humanitarian crisis" that the Democrats will not acknowledge stems from the poverty conditions in Latin America, more particularly in Central America like Honduras. Mexico elites and upper middle class sent us all their 'invisible' class (i.e., mestizo, and indigenous) between 1994 (when NAFTA was first implemented) and 2014. There are not many left to send from Mexico. Now its Central America pouring into the USA.
