Booker is a whore for Big Pharma, if I recall correctly. A weak point in debates.

nominate Biden or Sanders and they’re sunk.

Actually D's may win with Biden in PA, OH, and WI, which may be enough to win election. However, Biden is already sunk with conveniently timed groping allegations.
Neither Kamala nor Booker will win in those states, meaning loss of election for D's.

Gonna call it: the Dems only hope in the 2020 election is to pick a brown candidate. They desperately need brown votes to have a chance after all the shit they’ve pulled, and crazy shit they e stood for. So they need to bring to the table something black voters can agree on: a black candidate. That means Kamala or Booker. Both are shit, but the rank and file Dems will get themselves worked up enough to vote for them in the general, and the blacks will come out to vote for “one of ours.”

Totally in agreement. And watch the Dems studiously ignore Kamala's Bank-friendly efforts as DA of SF and Booker's Big Pharma bendovers.

It's all about Anti-Whiteness now. Things can really change, but I see it as you do if trends continue.

I'll be voting for the first Democrat or Republican candidate that doesn't come out spewing divisive, identitarian invective.

The thing people fear about the "supremacists" and the "woketards" alike is one and the same thing: Americans don't want Identitarian leaders. When Identitarians are all that's on offer, they'll vote "tribally". This is divisive, cynical, and myopic. Identitarianism is anti-American.

When America was great the broadcasters were regulated so that talk radio as it is a propaganda vehicle now and Fox News was not allowed to exist.

It also meant that 90% of the rest of the media couldn't be Resist Ants 24-7-365, too.

That means that MSNBC would have to have Laura Ingram to balance Rachel Madcow.

How do you make batteries, that’s pollution

How do you generate electricity, most of it is pollution too by your own definition since it’s not just made from water falling down spinning turbine.
101956   kt1652   2019 Apr 7, 3:41pm

Money changers don't understand engineering. ICE = 25-30% energy convertion efficiency, the other 70% wasted as heat/carbon emmissions.
EV = 80 -90% energy efficient. Combined with solar PV, or wind, the most economical as well.
101957   FortWayneAsNancyPelosiHaircut   2019 Apr 7, 3:50pm

But that ICE energy didn’t come out of thin air. To make it you had to burn coal, gas, etc... so it’s same shit, converted twice

What a losing argument.

Power plants operate at a much higher efficiency than internal combustion engines, on cheaper and more diversified fuel sources, including renewable.

Electric motors and batteries also have relatively little energy waste, making the system as a whole more efficient to operate, especially when you consider being able to leverage the superior distribution infrastructure of the electric grid versus the relatively sparse network of fuel stations. Consider that most fuel stations receive their supply by tanker-truck, which introduces yet more inefficiency.
Solar, wind is eveng more efficient.
It takes a lot of energy to extract, refine, transport, distribute the petrol to your gas tank. So many middle men, they don't work for free. Lol.

That's debatable. I think nuclear is fucking awesome, but morons here keep on closing those plants down left and right because everyone is scared of them. You can't get more efficient than that. Everything else is burning fuel/gas to generate electricity. So you simply pushed burning to a central spot, and made it impossible for most people to fuel up their cars. Centralized systems are prone to problems, distributed systems work better. One gas station breaks, half west coast isn't sitting.

Either way, bottom line is this. There is no way right now you can use renewables to generate enough electricity to power everything our society needs, so it's a moot point. It's not there. So EV's are still burning fossil fuels, just they are not burning them where you drive, but at some other place. "Renewable Energy" creation needs to not suck, before it matters.
101963   FortWayneAsNancyPelosiHaircut   2019 Apr 7, 8:56pm

One more thing Tim.

Be very VERY CAUTIOUS of centralized power generation. Enron fucked us big time in the past with that. When they wanted to raise the price of energy, they'd call their friends to shut off a station or two. Energy supply would drop causing price to skyrocket. Lots of people got really fucked by the costs.

If we centralized generation, we will get the same shit again. Crooked mother fuckers out there exist, and there are many of them.

Recent Right-Wing Violence: According to New America, a research institute dedicated to tracking instances of political violence in the US, right-wing violence has claimed the lives of 86 individuals since 2001. The periodic counts of right-wing violence have become increasingly dense since 2008. For example, in 2017, after retrieving data from the Global Terrorism Database, researchers from the news site Quartz revealed that ‘almost two-thirds’ of extremist violence in the US was ‘right-leaning’.
