You do know that the Republicans freed the slaves and the Democrats were willing to break up the country rather than allow those slaves to be free, dont'cha?

I have a high tolerance but find these memes not only utterly stupid but highly offensive for those whose families suffered under the actual Nazi regime. It's relativizing ethnic cleansing by comparing it to a slight political slant to the right in a free republic

Trump did not own the Taj Mahal when it closed.

So , you reckon Trump will have completely ended democracy by then ?

More likely restore the rule of law. That is what the folks who used the FBI to spy on a campaign and sold influence like Biden did in Ukraine fear.

Hey, you have to come up with some kind of rationalization.

I can see that the hearsay bullshit is probably the best you've got.

Sorry, where is the bribery? Where is the personal gain?

The only person gain is Hunter Biden and RBS LLC continuing to receive wire transfers to their Morgan Stanley Account via Burisma's Latvian Banks.

That has to be the best one I've ever heard. Trump, he's all about the rule of law.

What a rich fantasy world you people live in. Wow !

Really? When the facts are distilled, you are overlooking the obvious quid-pro-quo of Biden and son along with the Crowdstrike affair, and looking for a way to criminalize Trump for a worst, pointing those crimes out.

Certainly it was unwise of Biden Jr. to take that gig.

Unwise but not criminal?
marcus says
the question - did Trump hold back needed aid to get an announcement by Ukraine President of an investigation of Biden.

Criminal but not unwise?
3499   Onvacation   2019 Nov 18, 12:14pm

There is no equivalency between Joe Biden threatening Ukraine with a holdup of aid unless they fired the investigator investigating his son and Trump's asking Ukraine to investigate the former VP who bragged about holding up aid if the Ukrainian's didn't fire the investigator investigating his son.

Did Trump or did he not hold up financial aid that had been appropriated by congress as military aide for Ukraine based on requests of announcement he wanted from Ukraine leaders that they were investigating Biden ?

It's a simple question. Yes or no ? I don't see that republicans are seeking the answer to this question.

no

We voted against Hilary. The fact that Trump actually delivered on his promises is a bonus.

That would be a "no," Marcus. Although Trump did temporarily hold up money, he never requested an announcement. And, in fact, he released the money before such announcement was made; and, in fact, there has never been an announcement.

Here's a writeup in — of all places — the WoPo...

The whole thing is silly.

The US always uses aid leverage and always has.

This is just a red herring.

One would have to prove that POTUS received "something of personal value" from the Ukraine in return for aid.

If Trump is guilty, then Jimmy Carter is guilty of bribery because he withheld cooperation and aid with Iran until they released the hostages, which would have given him an advantage over Ronald Reagan.
