Thats a common misnomer. THey pay their so called payroll taxes (social securtiy and medicare)

Nope. The employer is paying both sides. We'll likely not agree on this, but it's true. The money never hits the employees hands. It's a cost of doing business to the employer. Pay is adjusted accounting for this. I also said Federal taxes. Never mentioned SS or medicare, so not sure why that was brought up. Increasing federal taxes for all would solve a lot of problems. 44% aren't putting $$$ into this main fund. That's a problem as someone paying 5 figures in just federal taxes.

Besides, the specifics are beside the point of the cartoon - which is that those assholes aren't working for your best interest. But you know, they believe in Jesus and pary, so they must be good people.

And the Dems are no different. You think Hillary Clinton would have given one ounce of thought to the common, middle class person? Religion has nothing to do with. I hate religion, but it's a weak way to argue that Republicans are bad. Bringing religion into a debate about taxes and deficits is a boneheaded meme.

marcus says
a decent level of pay that people can afford to live on, before you talk about them paying higher federal income taxes.

How about we stop preventing people from getting ANY income with minimum wage laws and they're then reliant on welfare? That's where we're at. I'd argue it would be better to employ two people (learning some sort of skill in the process) for $7/hr compared to $15/hour for one. There's actually not much of an argument against this. The problem is healthcare and real estate (rent) are inflated industries propped by the system you want to take more money from me or the guy paying $200k in federal taxes.

marcus says
I don't see how this is different than some wealthy guy who pays 200k in taxes, saying you need to pay more.

I hope you're joking? Seriously? $0 to $30k/yr isn't a difference in tax payments? I'm making the point that damn near half the country is putting in $0 ZERO. Of the 44%, a good chunk might spend money in the economy, but they're likely a net negative. They COST us money. If you're not disabled or nuts, you should be fucking contributing. There's no excuse. That's my point.

Republicans don't want to actually try the case, and they have already said in advance Trump will be acquitted.

How unfair of democrats to want evidence that the White House blocked from being considered by the House hearings to actually be considered in the trial.

Trump will be acquitted BECAUSE he didn't do anything but try to uncover corruption. Nancy doesn't want the senate to call witnesses and present evidence.

Yeah, the democrats are such cheaters.

Cheaters would imply that they only broke some rules. The Democrats are criminals who broke laws.

When evidence is flawed or lacking, throwing a case out is appropriate.

You do know judges rule on disagreements like this right? Obama, Trump, and every president before has used executive privilege. Orange man bad though, I know.

marcus says
Yeah, the democrats are such cheaters.

This jam job is an obvious fraud, which cant hold up in court or the senate or to any reasonable thought. Cheaters? Nah. They are allowed by the rules to waste everyone's time w this fraud. It's just bad decision making and the US voter has taken notice.

Trump slaughter in 2020 all but guaranteed at this point. Marcus, you want to make a bet on 2020 POTUS election? I bet Trump will win, barring any Arkancide events.

I wonder why gun and ammunition sales go through the roof when Obama was elected.

Because everyone was afraid of pending gun restrictions.

Don't want to quote the image Marcus, but seriously??? (Comment 7342)

"The media is dishonest"
"Muslims are all evil"
"Trump is Presidential"

1 - You believe the media? Seriously? It's all shit and you know it. They have to sell ads and they report on what their customers want. So yes, media is in fact dishonest.

2 - Who here or anywhere has said Muslims are ALL evil? It's the religion as a whole. Most Muslims are probably perfectly fine people that we'd all get along with it's just the religion itself wants to discriminate against non-believers. And the extreme ones will actually act on this and kill non-believers. This is mostly unique to Islam and Muslims. It's the exact same mindset that you're more likely to get randomly shot in South Shore versus Naperville. The trend is your friend.

3 - Again, who has said Trump is Presidential? No one here that I've seen.

I get these points from your meme, but they have to be based in reality for it to be funny. These are not right or left wings thoughts above. They're what the left "thinks" the right believes. The 0% reality part describes the entire meme though which is rather ironic. lol

Yes, I agree with you BUT!

We should be careful to distinguish between PRODUCTIVE WORK like caring for an apple tree, and NON-PRODUCTIVE RENT-SEEKING, like doing nothing for anyone and yet forcing the public to pay them via legally enforced scams of one kind or another. Like, for example, forcing everyone in America to pay private insurance companies unlimited amounts for health insurance, by law.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rent-seeking

I have a feeling that many of these memes are planted exactly in order to obscure the difference.

I agree that the media is clearly dishonest, but I think it's not because that's what their customers want.

In fact, I think their customers want honesty but can't get it because media ownership is concentrated into the hands of very rich people whose scams are being disrupted by Trump's election. They don't really care about making money directly from the media. They care about keeping political power so that they can skim money off of all of us by making laws that allow them to do that.

Thus the 100% negative coverage of Trump in the mainstream media. Not even Hitler had press that bad, and Trump is no Hitler.
