The signs can still be re-purposed. They just need to read 'Global Warming Credibility Gone By 2020'.

Glacier National Park is replacing signs that predicted its glaciers would be gone by 2020

Yes, but the folks responsible for putting up the signs in 2010 have already cashed the donation checks and political capital. Now they will work on the next decade with vague predictions and blaming AGW anyway.

I approve.

Mortgages should not be subsidized at all.

The mortgage interest deduction raises the cost of buying.

Of course it's hard to get rid of, politically, because no one wants to see the price then can sell for fall back to fair value. Banks love all that interest too, and will loudly object.

The Germans and Canadians live just fine with no mortgage interest deduction.

I would gladly pay the large shipping costs to send those signs to Sweeden for Gretas viewing.

Right on. Pass this bill. It's a step in the right direction.

Factoring tax laws and deductions into purchase decisions is a bad idea, as it depends on politics.

Like the pr*ck car salesman who told me in the 1980's, when all consumer interest was deductible from income, that it would be a good savvy move to get a car with a car loan. Then a year or so later "tax reform" passed, eliminating that deduction.

Same sort of thing on this news.

He also fumed that officials refused to acknowledge any “hypothetical” situations in which they would come to Congress for authorization for future military hostilities against Iran."

No one with any experience would answer hypotheticals. Not doing hypotheticals has been standard practice with politicians since the beginning. I even remember Bush 1 repeatedly telling reporters that a question they asked was "hypothetical" and Bush would not go there.

Sigh. Krugman style politically based wishful thinking.

I think Trump certainly staved off a recession. Businesses like his policies and that spurs investment. If he's elected, these policies will continue and should be good for American interests globally. China should feel a pinch as businesses decouple. I'm a hypocrite, I'm using Apple gear made in China - but I'm actively looking for ways to not buy Chinese. Trump's policies put America first - and a rising American economy floats all other boats.

Will there be a market correction? Almost certainly. Will this lead to recession? Maybe. But perhaps it will be short and growth will return apace.

Long-term, any slowdown in Chinese economic growth weakens them militarily, allowing balance from India, Japan, Australia and so on in the region. We do not want an ascendant communist country to grow in power. Best to choke them out economically.

Economic depression, world war, famine, and plague if we did not hire Hillary.

No consumer interest, including especially MID, should be tax deductible at all. Neither should charitable donations be deductible.

Brexit will Create! A! Recession! - just before the vote, sez World Bank.

Last UK Recession was 2009, none now or since then.

Who should they support? Left pushes people into poverty, by socializing everything. Look at CA, poverty fucking central, they just don't count them anymore to make statistics look good. Shit everywhere, drugaddicts lining streets shooting up and begging for change, faggots and pedophiles are parading the city. That's Democratic party in a nutshell, total fucking freedom of fucking loser trash. They are garbage.

Trump is an effective leader, he isn't a fucking saint, but he brings prosperity and brings better lives to Americans, whom corporations tried to destroy in name of fucking profit.

"The backlash to gun control in Virginia is being fueled by conspiracy theories and misinformation

Yes, misinformation like: Gun owners are talking civil war and "standard" gun control laws and Multiple Democratic lawmakers have reportedly received threats, including death threats.

The reality is: “second amendment sanctuary” resolutions, which promise that local governments will not enforce state gun laws they see as unconstitutional. You know, like sanctuary cities.

Since Brexit hasn't happened yet, bit premature to call them wrong. Looks like we will find out in the next year.

You think world bank is anti Trump ? They might be, but this is obviously a real forecast, and it's only slightly below the average GDP growth to date under Trump. And it's global.

They predicted the "LEAVE" vote result would ruin Britain. Three years since and no recession. In fact, for many of the 12 quarters since then, Britain has been near or at the top of European growth rates.

The UK media with few exemptions also predicted an LSE collapse if Brexit happened, as well. Another thing that never happened.

Just like Krugman predicted America's economic future to be a disaster if Trump was elected. Exact opposite happened.

No. It's fueled by all of the communists openly stating they want to confiscate our guns and "redistribute" our wealth.

People don’t want their right taken away by few assholes in government. It’s simple.

And it’s ok to kill politicians who try to take rights, as proven by revolution.

They have been relatively accurate. They predicted expansion to 3.1 in 2018, and minor shrinkage to 2.9% in 2019. And this is global.

It appears you lefties are digging that old 1988 story about the USS Vincennes mistakenly shooting down that Iranian airliner as a counter balance to the recent Iranian shoot down of an airliner. That USS Vicennes story appears in virtually every news article about that recent Iranian downing of that Ukrainian airliner.

Resentment has led to the worst human behavior in history. "Resentment is not evil". SMFH, we have got to stop telling snowflakes that any impulse they have is valid.
