Rate of infection in NY is doubling every 3 days and accelerating.
New projections show need of 140,000 hospital beds, way higher than current capacity.
Worse: need 40,000 Intensive Care Units beds, where the current capacity is 3000.

Just wait until a year from now, when it turns out millions had it.

The death rate from this will be way below 1%.

Biden and his gaffes are completely out of the headlines. I hear nothing about the Dem primaries besides them cancelling some of them.

"Hey Fat, Pushups, Fat. You dog-eyed pony soldier. Now let me tell you about Corn Pops."

They dragged him off screen as soon as they possibly could and blamed technical issues when he began to turn away from the podium to talk off camera during the livestream.

I'd say 50/50 he gets replaced at the Convention with Cuomo or maybe even Madame Secretary. As Clambo pointed out, the goal is to save the House from flipping, not to win the Presidency.

So far, the US Healthcare system seems to be doing better than virtually all of Europe in keeping people alive.

and the quality is horrible: it's not soft, the size is wrong, etc.

Quickie foreclosures?
109572   FortwayeAsFuckJoeBiden   2020 Mar 25, 8:08pm

Sure sure. So believable.

Didn’t make anything. Just Nostradamus prediction with a guide. Fucking biblical powers.
109573   Patrick   2020 Mar 25, 10:08pm

Well, that is a point in favor of living further apart.

Let's do a test.
I hope Trump gets COVID.

New York is going to be brutal I think. It's trending above Wuhan in your graph and it's a similar size I believe. Lots of old peeps gonna die.

Just the liberal parts of NY. Upstate should be fine.

STARVE AND DIE, AGITPROP ADDLED LUMPENPROLETARIAT, FUCKING STARVE AND DIE!

The Democrat Great Socialist Paradise demands your noble sacrifice to !DEFEAT! !TRUMP!
109579   Shaman   2020 Mar 26, 7:41am

Lots of old city folks gonna cack.
That should relieve a lot of pressure on our political system as well as entitlements.
109580   Ceffer   2020 Mar 26, 8:04am

Kind of hard to get people who sell their souls for promises of petty free shit to sacrifice themselves for the sake of the country.

Just got back from my first time out of the house (11 days). This isn't going away. Sorry to the Patnet boomers and older, but your generation is fucking retarded.... I know it's anecdotal. Went to Home Depot and Jewel (Albertsons in other parts of the country and other names - grocery store basically). I only saw one kid (was wearing a mask) and every single other person I saw was older than me. Not a joke.

Back of napkin guess would put the average at 62ish? Median may have been 65ish. It was an abortion of intelligence. This kills old people. The more old people die, the longer it takes to get back to normal. STAY THE FUCK HOME!!!
109582   Ceffer   2020 Mar 26, 9:39am

Turds just bounce off Romney's slicked, greased up hair hat onto a sister wife, while Trump's flyaway mousse sticks. Romney has nothing to worry about.

All of the seniors in Florida are gathering to play cards and coffee klatch. They're visiting Walgreens and Publix, often out of mere curiosity or for gossip fodder, being rung out by out-of-school teenagers and college students who went to a party with two dozen people the night before.

The real group that needs to be quarantined is running wild, the safest, least at risk group is being kept out of school and work. It's retarded.
109585   EBGuy   2020 Mar 26, 1:06pm

As far as population density goes, SF Bay Area is behind New York City, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Miami, Boston and Chicago. Yes, this is metro area, so YMMV...

They realize that quarantining does not eradicate the disease. Vaccines for the flu are about 30% effective (I'm gonna guess the COVID-19 vaccine will be about the same). They also realize that it is absurd to close down the entire economy when there is an outbreak, as sooner or later the disease will reappear in the population.
109587   mell   2020 Mar 26, 8:43pm

Why is that bleak? From a purely economic standpoint it's good for Europe to rejuvenate their avg age. They just need to have more kids.
109588   Ceffer   2020 Mar 26, 10:52pm

Does it allow Trump to declare the Cuban gardeners in the White House stairwell who service Melania as dependents? Is this why he hides his tax returns from the public?
109589   CBOEtrader   2020 Mar 27, 2:06am

How kind of pelosi to write in a trump bump
109590   rocketjoe79   2020 Mar 27, 8:46am

They will have more kids - in about 9 months.

Forgive my morbid analysis, but shouldn't this be good in many respects economically:
1. Fewer pensioners = fewer government payouts.
2. Wealth transfers from inheritances should increase spending. So sad about Grandpa! Momma needs a new kitchen.
3. Elder home care reduced, more productivity.
4. Elder institutional care reduced, less spending on indigent parents.

The risk would be to pharma and health care providers: fewer long-term customers? Loss of income stream.

Of course, this would really only be true IF the death rate proves significantly greater than the average flu. There isn't much data to support this so far.
After this is over, we'll see thousands of ventilators go into storage, or, more likely, tossed away as "depreciated assets." The government should put them all into storage for the next big flu, but that would assume we have anyone with more than half a brain in charge.
109591   RC2006   2020 Mar 27, 8:50am

Speed up the takeover of non European baby factories.
109592   Patrick   2020 Mar 27, 8:56am

In the long term, this is all good news for individual European countries, which will likely rediscover the value of strong borders and traveler health exams and quarantines.

The aging population is not a problem. Look at Japan, which is still fine with the oldest population in the world - because they do not let business owners dictate unfettered immigration to drive down wages.

Eventually, old people die. The problem is really feminism, which tells women that dedicating 20 years to being a mother is somehow shameful.
109593   socal2   2020 Mar 27, 9:05am

Yet the majority of the cases and deaths are in Democrat dominated cities like New York, Seattle, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
109594   Tenpoundbass   2020 Mar 27, 9:21am

What better way to get off the hook for answers and results from a hoax, than to play along?

Can't criticize the guy when he's out with the Globalist Flu.
109595   Bd6r   2020 Mar 27, 9:32am

Boo-hoo, what a fucking surprise. We all know that Porculus-3 is "for the children" such as Ivanka, and whatever is Biden's sons name.
109596   Tenpoundbass   2020 Mar 27, 9:39am

But how are they coming up with those number Lt. Dan, if they don't have adequate tests?

Here's an interesting list from Good Old Commie Sanctioned Wiki.Otherwise known as the ministry of Facts.

If you look at his list, and you're in a country that is eyeballing the diagnoses, as there are no dependable tests anywhere in the world, until last week when Trump got on it.
I've put an astericks to denote every affliction that could be assumed as CoVid19 case.

Crude death rate, per 100,000 population
60,400,000 people in Italy. That's a multiplier of 604.
we get 293 per 100K people, multiply that by 604 = 10,544 deaths.

*Ischaemic heart disease, 126
Stroke, 77
*Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, 41
*Lower respiratory infections, 40
*Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, 27
*Trachea, bronchus, lung cancers, 23
Diabetes mellitus, 21
Road injury, 19
*Diarrhoeal diseases, 19
*Tuberculosis, 17

So according my math, Itally is good for another 2,000 deaths in this sham.

I don't think America will see this many deaths because we're going to be held to the test standard, thanks to Trump's daily updates and media's constant questions.
