What I am saying is the blenders/retailers are getting about a $0.67/gallon premium on the fuel they are selling right now. Above and beyond what they normally get. Wholesale vs. retail price adjustment comparison. We haven’t even gotten near the floor for structural taxes and fees to be affecting an artificial bottom yet.
I'm honestly waiting for anothergas tax hike. Whenever it srops below $3.00 a gallon, they add more tax. I'll be like Europe soon. Only the landed gentry will be allowed driving privileges. Regular workers will be forces to take mass transit only.
California state average retail for 87 CA blended gas on or about 2/14/20 before this whole nonsense started was $3.50/gallon. As of 4/24 the average was about $2.74, a drop of about $0.76 cents/gallon.
Also, CARB requires cleaner gas which is more expensive to make.
CARBOB gasoline spot 2/14/20 week price was $1.891/gallon, on 4/24/20 week price was $0.462/gallon; a drop of about $1.429/gallon. They're retaining about $0.669/gallon (extra profit vs. previous position) in cost that is not there. This needs to start being talked about. The rest of the countries RBOB blended spots/retail gasoline prices have moved relatively closely, where as we're still getting fucked hardcore.
