Pretty much agree with this. Here in the bay area the numbers have been trending down and hospitals empty. Total deaths in SF are 31. Out of a million people. At this point it feels like pure fuck you contempt for the peasants. If you had told me we will shut down a whole economy, gutting years of boom over 31 deaths I would have called you crazy. We had 42 traffic deaths in 2019.

If gas stations are open I'd go for it. We just needed to do something different. We only stopped once for fuel and piss stop each way. I'm not really sure how that in anyway would be unsafe. Essential workers are stopping at gas stations daily. We also researched the houses pretty well. This one hadn't been rented for the last month. So pretty much zero concern about surface contamination.

There were still some of the same frustrations of just constantly being together for my family. 9-1/2 hours in the car wasn't all that pleasant either, but it was fine. We also did go with 3 other families and everyone was 40 and under with no feeling of sickness. Had some fun, rented a boat and good laughs every night. Smoked weed one night, which I only do 4-5 times a year, and we were all in tears laughing so hard. Was weird because I forgot TN wasn't legal... lol.

It was hastily put together, and probably wasn't the way we wanted it, but it was nice to get to a state that isn't violating your rights as aggressively as IL and I'm sure CA. Eye opening really. Love my rural area out here in IL though, everyone is giving the middle finger to the mask wearing requirement inside most buildings. I do finally have one though for the times I have to go to the bigger suburbs.... ehh.
