The same would happen if it became known our own intelligence agencies assassinated John F. Kennedy. In 2000, even though there was controversy in one state over voting machine fraud, most people seemed to concede that the overall process was still valid and that the result that prevailed was OK. Right now, we have problems in multiple states because of the fraud, and the majority of the country who voted for Trump are convinced that a non-elected President (much less a brain dead criminal) is going to be in office.

It may have been that for some time, there have been Presidential elections that did not reflect the will of the people. However, we have over half of the population who now believe it is crystal clear that this is the case without confusion or wishful thinking. The Presidential vote has truly been nullified banana republic style in another of a series of clear, corrupt acts in the last years that have been startling in their audaciousness, shamelessness and impunity. We have a bunch of crooks on the national stage openly and brazenly acting like crooks, and thumbing their noses at the vassal people.

It is crystal clear to a lot of Dems, too, but they are just crowing that they got away with the con.
