Only 5,000 COVID deaths in all of China. 100k's in the USA. My ass.

It's !!!!Science!!!! though. The WHO wouldn't just repeat a baldfaced lie.

True. There's just no possible way that both China and the US is telling the truth.

This dang China Death Flu has interrupted our steady, century long, decline in death rate per 100k and, very temporarily, knocked us all the way back to 2006 or so.
113509   Robert Sproul   2021 Apr 25, 9:33pm

Here is deaths per million going back to 1900. In the Terrifying Year of Covid we were much, much, less at risk of death than say, 1968, when we stupidly partied right on though the Hong Kong Flu.

What a nation of dripping sissies. My pal sent me pictures of the hiking trails in West Marin, couples and solo hikers all masked up out on an un-crowded trail, a year into this charade.

These comparisons are great.

And those who pat themselves on the back for being the reality based community are the most Chicken Little of all in regards to the recent comparisons.

I don't care. What difference does it make if I've had or am going to have it? There's almost no chance I'll die from it given my age and health. I'll take a case of covid 10 out of 10 times over fracturing my heel like I did last fall. Being sick for 3-10 days isn't that big of a deal. Not being able to move for 3-4 months and having permeant pain is much worse.

I know I'm comparing apples to oranges as well with my heel. But the data says I'll 99.9999% be fine. My own data says I've been fine. The narrative the media spins says I should be dead. At some point I'm not wrong.

I took it seriously in the beginning. Heck, hit the bottom link from one year ago and you can see my comments. I generally question everything, but for the first month I did listen to "guidelines and recommendations" from our government. At some point though you see the bull shit though. I've got a ton of other anecdotal evidence too that health care workers/docs think it's pure shit and that's coming straight from their mouth, not my interpretation.
113513   theoakman   2021 Apr 26, 5:30am

My whole family had it. My father was sick for 3 weeks (70 years old). My wife was asymptomatic. My daughter was asymptomatic. My son was sick for a day. There is clear data of who this is dangerous to. If they want to stay home and lockdown fine. The rest of society needs to move on.

What's even more ridiculous is that these people that hike solo with a mask have likely already been vaccinated. It's become a religion at this point.

I have been interested in deaths-per-million numbers as a way to refute propaganda about lock-down vs non-lock-down states and countries.
For example Sweden, despite massive defaming propaganda, has a significantly better death-per-million number than super locked-down countries like Britain. (Largely avoiding the resultant economic damage, which is why the frantic justification of lock-down regimes will never end.) The first chart is a CDC chart that seemed striking so I saved it, the second has no provenance as I just web searched for “historic death per million”.

The burden is on you to prove that masks do anything but the obvious harm and you haven't done so, neither has anyone else.

Fauci et al insist that you CAN NOT use manifestly safe medications like Ivermectin (better safety profile than Tylenol) or Hydroxychloroquine without Gold Standard, Double-Blind, Randomized, Placebo-Controlled, Trials (tm) but you CAN institute crippling economic lock-downs and devastating social controls just on the whims and notions of over paid, preening, career bureaucrats and politicians.

Very true. Many old people die relatively quickly once they become immobile, e.g. break their hip. Not because it's life threatening but because of the follow up consequences of not moving around anymore becoming life threatening. An infection that goes away quickly is much more preferable.

Well my asthmatic nephew is now completely wiped out. Might have to get him tested. Found out my dumb ass sister in law was around her ghetto boyfriend that has Covid. If it is covid he should be fine being young and all, but he's also allergic to tree pollen and our cars are currently covered in it. So he might be getting slammed right now. He's a kid that could die from influenza strains anyway.

I don't know why in the flying fuck she'd come around her son. Sorry, patnet is my place to vent sometimes and I'm really pissed right now. Covid is real. It's mostly harmless, but this kid is one that shouldn't be around it. And she fucking walked into my home with it potentially, and knew that she had been around it. First time in a long time I've wanted to throw a right hook at a bitch. Just when he got back to full time school. Ugh... Looks like remote learning for the next week or two. Just when I thought we were turning the corner to normalcy.

Wookie, the good news is, most people taking steroidal inhalants for asthma are less affected because of the amount of steroids they use nearly eliminates all inflammation. Good luck. Same thing happened to us. Just as wife was getting vaxxed, kids come down with it. It's like tripping over the finish line.

Didn't know that. Thanks.

He didn't sleep most the night just up coughing constantly. I've been up since 4am because he wouldn't stop coughing. He got 2-3 hours of sleep about 7:30am till now. He's been with us for 3 months now roughly, and he coughs and sneezes a lot anyway, but it started getting rough the last few days. He's a bit of a sissy (no dad), but he was crying this morning about it. For a non-physical injury I start to take it bit more seriously when that happens.

I'm just pissed at his mom that she knew she was around someone with Covid and came into our home. I know I harp on the hype of covid a lot here, but I myself have high hereditary BP and I don't want to be knowingly exposed to it. If I travel or go somewhere that's my choice. If you know someone that has Covid and were around them, don't come near me. I'll likely be fine, but I still try to be as responsible as I can. If I had the flu in the past I just stayed home and isolated myself from my family in the basement. So pissed at the SIL.

Budesonide is commonly prescribed for asthma and is now testing effective for early treatment of Covid.

I would think it would have some prophylactic benefit to those who use it daily.

The best protection against Covid is to contract and beat the illness. Give the kid an inhaler, vitamin D, zinc, and Quercetin. He will kick it fast. And you’ve got an opportunity to do the same.

Trump Floats 2024 Presidential Run Again, Says DeSantis Could Be Potential Running Mate
113526   Tenpoundbass   2021 Apr 29, 12:35pm

I spent the morning and after noon looking over the Florida legislature calendar and reading the bills from A to Z.
I have come to the conclusion that if I want to be a more positive person. Just follow the Florida legislation for the next 3 1/2 years until the Biden occupation blows over.

It looks like DeSantis and the GOP legislatures are doing all they can to preempt the out of State Commies fleeing to Florida to flip it blue.
Voter integrity laws are all very promising and hopeful.
Candidates can't run as No Party affiliated unless they sign a non partisan pledge, and it is determined that they haven't been a registered party member or affiliated in anyway with a party for a determined amount of time. This will stop spoiler candidates from crapping a leading candidate siphoning votes from them.
Lots of right to work laws, and repeal of decades of oppressive legislation.

It's a complete 180 of all of the Commie legislation in Washington.
I even saw a bill prohibiting the spread of Marxism or Communist material, or a Marxist from holding office.

All of you Floridians go check it out if you want to be cheered up.

I don’t want Trump to run again. The media has already done his brand far too much damage by misconstruing things he’s said until they’re popular culture (like Sarah Palin and her Russia’s my backyard). Plus he’s not my favorite. I don’t even want him as a running mate for DeSantis.
DeSantis and running mate Rand Paul. Paul is my first choice but he has that problem where he has bad hair and that dooms his runs every time. However he could make it as the VP running after a successful two term popular President, like Bush 1st.

Epochtimes generally is not a paywall, there is always a button to remove the solicitation and read the full article, or you can give a bs spam - or your leftoid neighbor's - email address to continue reading for free.
113537   Shaman   2021 Apr 29, 2:34pm

Here’s the epoch times article. I have a subscription.

“ I endorsed Ron, and after I endorsed him, he took off like a rocketship,” the former president told Fox Business on April 29. “He’s done a great job as governor. I’m saying what I read and what you read, they love that ticket. Certainly, Ron would be considered. He’s a great guy.”

If Trump doesn’t run, DeSantis has been considered a potential GOP frontrunner for 2024. The Florida governor has been praised by numerous Republicans for his move to lift all COVID-19-related restrictions in his state in September, making Florida one of the most open states.

“I ran twice, and the second time, I got 12 million more votes than the first time,” Trump said in the interview.

The former commander-in-chief, however, didn’t make a definitive prediction in the interview about running again. If he makes an announcement too early, it “has a big impact on fundraising and many other things.”

“It’s a little bit of a crazy, complex thing,” Trump said. “The whole fundraising contribution stuff is ridiculous; the laws are so archaic and stupid, frankly.”
Separately, Trump encouraged Republicans to “have courage” and “keep fighting” against the Democrats’ agenda.
It’s going to happen,” he said. “We’re going to turn it around. They’ve gone too far. They can’t get away with this. We can’t allow them to get away with this. They’re destroying our country. Have courage. It’s going to happen. I’m with you.”

It came after President Joe Biden’s first speech to Congress on April 28, where he pushed a vision of more government investment funded by the wealthy. He made a plea to raise taxes on corporations and high-earning Americans to pay for his $1.8 trillion American Families Plan.

“It’s time for corporate America and the wealthiest 1 percent of Americans to pay their fair share … just pay their fair share,” Biden said.
He argued that his proposals for families and infrastructure, which together total about $4 trillion, represent a once-in-a-generation investment vital to America’s future.

Some Republicans have said that the proposals are part of a socialist agenda designed to increase government control over Americans’ lives.

“The President has adopted the radical left’s agenda to control every aspect of your life,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) wrote on Twitter in response. “Republicans will work with anyone to build America up, but we can’t tax and spend our way out of our problems. We will not stand by as he takes us down the path of socialism.”

DeSantis’s office didn’t respond to a request for comment by press time.

It's a bunch of horse manure. I mean, give me a break. This country has had more opportunity for more people than any country in the history of the world, and it doesn't matter where you trace your ancestry from, we've had people that have been able to succeed. ...

Here's the problem with things like critical race theory that they're peddling: they're basically saying all our institutions are bankrupt and they're illegitimate. Okay, so how do you have a society if everything in your society is illegitimate?

So it's a very harmful ideology – and I would say, really, a race-based version of a Marxist-type ideology. So we banned it in our schools here in Florida. We're not going to put any taxpayer dollars to critical race theory, and we want to treat people as individuals, not as members of groups.

POLITICSGETTING DESPERATE! Liberal Media Tries To Derail DeSantis With Laughable Hit Piece

Democrats are terrified of Ron DeSantis, whose national profile has been elevated by his performance as the nation’s best governor.

The Florida Republican has become the national model for the successful management of the COVID crisis without destroying his state’s economy and respecting civil liberties at the same time.

This of course has earned him the contempt of his unscrupulous opponents and their allies in the media whose specialty is the smear campaign. Now, the activist left is buzzing over a newly launched hit piece published by Politico.

The basis of Politico’s report is that a number of whiny former staffers have gone on record that the governor and his wife were “mean” to them. Yes, really.

They went on to say that they were so traumatized, they formed a support group to meet regularly to gripe about their hurt feelings. ...

In addition to his handling of COVID which is the gold standard, DeSantis has spearheaded a series of new laws that protect Floridians from violent leftist rioters, prevents the defunding of local police departments, bans the cancerous critical race theory, and most recently, an election integrity law that has Democrats howling in despair.

It’s a sign of pure desperation when Politico has to rely on a gaggle of disgruntled former staffers griping about their ex-boss to build the left’s case against him.
