•A person who has cerebral palsy may have difficulty moving the small muscles in the hands, wrists, or fingers. Due to their limited mobility, they may not be able to tie the strings or put the elastic loops of a face mask over the ears. Who the fuck does all this? I have never seen anybody, everybody has their little home made rags or dust masks on. Attitudes have deteriorated into perfunctory mask management in general, yanking them off and stuffing them in pockets as soon as they are out the door.

That is relatively cheap compared to New York. In October, the New York State Department of Health announced that ‘individuals who violate [social distancing and mask-wearing rules] are subject to a maximum fine of $1,000 for each violation’. Ouch. In Washington State, refusal to ‘protect the health’ of ‘friends and loved ones’ can result in incarceration. You can, in theory, get 90 days in county jail for a breath of fresh air.
