I agree with the sentiment expressed in the photo. We need to focus on what unties us rather than what divides us. Black, brown, democrat, republican, gay, straight and yes even Shik, Hindu. As Rodney Kong said "can't we all just get along?"

Now I'm no expert on the situation on the Indian subcontinent but I can't tell you I've met men (and women) of all faiths..some are good people, some are a-holes. Some are independent and tolerant, others are close minded and bigoted.

In truth how is your position on the Hindu faith not divisive? Clearly you have an axe to grind. Now it may well be justified. But how does it help foster the unity you claim your trying to promote?

For example I'm not particularly enamored with the Turks since they wiped out the Armenian side of my family but I can't hold it against somone just because they were born in a particular place or into a particular belief system. All I can do is try and enlighten them that a side has two stories. And yes I've done just that over the years. It may not help, but it can't hurt. Standing on a soapbox preaching "all [insert faith or race of choice] are bad!" What good does that serve?

In my experience most who are at odds with my world view have only herd one side of the story. Engage them. Talk to them civilly. Listen to their concerns. Search for points of commonality. I'm a firm believer that two people, no matter how different usually have one or two things in common. Once you have then in a place where they will listen, then you have a chance to change their mind if not their heart.

Now I fully expect you will fight me on this point, argue with me. Try to tell me all the reasons why Hindoos as you call them are bad corrupt murderous people. I respectfully reject your premise and will not engage in your divisive politics.

I've been to NYC a million times and the place is super hospitable. But I get the sense that everyone is nice because by visiting you've finally woken up and come to your senses and come to understand that NYC is the capital of everything for a reason. Been to Boston twice its like Rochester with a harbor. Sounded interesting when they used to have lots of race riots.

This diatribe sounds like it is from someone who has read a little about America, but has never been to America.

They produce nothing, it's a filthy, disgusting city - as bad as SF is now, but it's been that way for at least 30 years, it's a center of crime, and they don't do anything else than financial fraud.

This. I'll never go to NYC again besides for a layover flight. And I won't leave the airport. I don't care if people are direct or moving about their day quickly, but NYC is full of a bunch of ass holes. If I were to label it, it's a big ego city. Even the losers that live there think they're successful. It's also filthy and stinks as you say rich.

The funny part is there are a lot of people that leave and go out to CA. Maybe that's part of the reason CA is going to shit. I don't know, coastal areas besides maybe GA and FL are mainly fucked up. I guess the Carolinas get a pass too. I love visiting, but couldn't live in them.

I'll take a bunch of fresh water lakes here in the midwest all day. Winter sucks, but my biggest issue with it is light, not temperature or snow. Light is an issue for everyone one in winter unless you go south though, international style. So midwest it is for me. Retirement years it will be summers/fall (hurricane season) in the midwest and Caribbean over winter/spring.

I've had some good times in NY, still like the architecture, neighborhoods like bedstuy have their own flair and you can ride your bike or walk over he brooklyn bridge. Of course all before covid. It was good for young singles but never to raise a family there. I def has fallen from grace, similar to SF. They both just need another Giuliani takeover.

It's funny, but scary. I'm not the best speaker, but substantially better than that. Though I believe that was edited potentially to line up the bad lines to make him look bad.

Super interested in the 2021 State of the Union. He really doesn't do long form speeches. Trump could just talk for an hour even though there were gaffes of his own. I don't know if Biden has an hour plus in him anymore to not look embarrassingly bad.

Well, I will admit, that was a big plus.

To me, Hillary Clinton was just George W. Bush in a communist dictator's uniform with some lipstick. Seriously, she had the same tailor as Mao Tse-tung.

Really - what the fuck? What a bizarre set of clothing to wear. I've never seen anything close to that being worn in the wild. She had the most bizarre tailor.

Also, she's too fat to pull that off.

It's a Mao suit. She needs to carry a gun and shoot randomly into crowds to complete the ensemble.

Nuttboxer is correct.
The various state governors (executive branch) didn't have the legal authority to change the voting rules, therefore I consider the results invalid.
Anyone who has an IQ over 2 digits knows Biden didn't win.

No It is not. It is "con job" on Bhartis done by Islamic invaders.
Hindooo is not faith, It is appropriation of Bharti culture to "divide society using caste system", "Aryan theory" and other nonsensical but highly useful-to-them superstitions to weaken Bharti people for colonialism.
Hindooo has caused Bharat to be enslaved for centuries including now. All The Hindoooo thugs after stealing people's money still end up either in middle east(Dubai etc.) or London.. Two of the colonial powers one created and other promoted them.

I have nothing against "any human including any Bharti commoner conned to accept Hindooo hegemony" who likes to live his/her life without "trying to control large swathes" of people for own benefit.
Common people are conned everywhere using different divisive philosophies, I only promotes the one who unites like Sikhi:
Here is what It says.
"Treat whole human race as one".
Every Sikh prayer ends with "Welfare to all".

I have no respect for Sikhs who want to "divide" society and build separate country etc. if they can ensure freedom and safety in current Bharat.
Sikhs are very happy with western setup as it provides them with space to do their entrepreneurial thing to much better extent than Hindooo land.

I suppose if one discounts insulting another's intelligence by expecting outright verifiable lies to be swallowed as truth (including the misnomer "reasoned arguments"), then the troll can feel aggrieved.

A dissenting opinion is like another asshole - it just smells different, and is most likely objectionable (nobody can tolerate anything other than their his own brand). As for reasoned arguments - what reason, what argument? Copypaste from Mockingbird/CIA/Cointel doesn't count.

In the immortal words of Mr. T and the great sage Dan Quaile, "I pity the fool! What a terrible thing it is to lose one's mind, or to not have a mind."

If swamp was able to fuck rich man Trump like they did for 4 years, they'll have much easier time doing that to DeSantis. DeSantis is a poor man in comparison to Trump, no one is going to stick their neck out for him and he can't afford to fight back like Trump. I still think Trump is better, he's now a seasoned veteran.

I still don't see why they cannot run together. Sure FL will dearly miss an effective leader but it will be for the greater good. De Santis would basically guarantee a win in FL, as well as other potential swing states that like a more tempered leader. If it's either of them but on their own then I cannot see a clear running mate at this point, maybe Josh Hawley, Rand Paul or one of the uncucked no-nonsense black Republican politicians for the total minority win.

hard to tell what 2024 will bring, election was stolen in 2020, so why wouldn't they do that shit again in 2024? I'm assuming we'll get cancel culture suddenly being brought back, censorship, riots, all that shit. Likely Kamala Harris vs Trump, identity politics, all that sick shit that rich like to push in order to stay in power. So who knows what it will be. All I know is I'm voting for Trump.

shuttering the state’s principal economic sector, the motion picture industry
The motion picture industry isn't the "principal economic sector." I don't even think it's a major contributor. Most of the movie tycoons claim out-of-state residence for purposes of income tax. Blockbuster pictures have not been filmed in California (or even the USA) this millennium. Editing and mixing is less costly than ever, and I assume that's not here in California either.

Here's a website that purports to show the GDP industry breakdown. Not surprisingly, "arts, entertainiment" category and agriculture category are far down on the list.
