It's confusing because Scottish Gaelic is basically Irish Gaelic, but the Scots also have an old form of English, called "Scots". And most Irish and Scottish people speak English now as their daily language.

Maybe Punjab should be independent. I think if the clear majority of its population wants that, they should have the right to it.

Ireland did some kind of questionable things to grow its economy, like being a multi-national corporate tax haven. I wish they wouldn't do that, but it did benefit the people of Ireland - at the expense of tax revenue in other countries.

Just look at what the Housecrats, and the Biden administration just tried to pass, while our elections are already on one knee trying to steady itself. They tried to federalize the elections, and mail a ballot to every human 18 years or older a ballot. The very mechanism that was exploited to steal our elections in the first place. They called fair elections act, or some nonsense name like that.

This is a referendum, that calls on the Government to then legislate the election results into legislation. And as Florida saw with the Medical Marijuana initiative Florida voted on and passed. The Florida legislation were then free to write a highly regulated law around it, so that we wouldn't become Colorado or California with wide open loose MJ laws.
Those that canvassed and pushed the initiative to the vote were all seriously Butthurt, because they all betted on opening a dispensary or growing operation. But instead the Legislators gave us a highly regulated medical MJ.

Don't put it past the India political apparati use the referendum to craft laws that run counter to the spirit of the initiative.

What worries me that why this movement is getting huge traction all of sudden.
Sikhs are capable of mounting big campaigns, But the methods of this don't match the past.

What I worry is that it may be used as another way to taint community and cause harm.
(Biggest might be to get identities of people supporting this and confiscate their properties in Bharat)

The die is cast. These people are able to convince large number of Sikhs that their future is separation from Bharat.
Now what will this lead to .. a separate country,bloodshed or what we will only know in future.
