Interesting theory re: Gerontocracy.

Dems leadership is all late 70s/early 80s. They have nobody who is nationally palatable 40-70 years old.

Contrast to Rep leadership, which is younger. Sure, Romney's an old fart, but he's pretty much a spent force. They also have MTG and Gaetz, 30s and 40s, up and comers. We have tons of potential staffers in their 40s-50s prime.

The Dems only have Eric Carmaletta types, upjumped Princeton Grads still in their 20s who should never have been in their positions by virtue of their inexperience.
