The fuck. I just got an oil change. $39.99 for a standard headlight. One light. I don't care as I'm too lazy to deal and occasionally have some drinks (under the legal limit) and drive so I need a legal/working car. I'm not gonna lie I'm a phenomenal driver. Usually it was $12 or so for a headlight. The money doesn't matter for me, but that's a fucking triple or quad of inflation on a god damn light bulb. Dems are doomed when a fucking light bulb is $40. Should be fun in November.

I agree that the ILWU will be a major factor in future supply chain issues. Their contract is indeed due for renegotiation and they’re holding all the good cards. If they don’t get a $10/hour raise with more benefits I’ll be surprised. The problem is how long it might take to come to an agreement. We really do need to onshore far more products.

And, if you actually care about dock workers striking causing you issues with buying products and increasing costs, you will start figuring out how to make those products domestically. Also, if you're in an industry that is dependent on exporting to be profitable, likewise applies. Business models have to be adjusted that make domestic production / consumption the basis for bottom line financial solvency. Else we're at the Globalist MOFOS whim....

I was too lazy. I'll make more in the time it takes to install it. Time is money. I've changed headlights and other automotive and small engine shit. At some point paying someone 1/3 of what I can make in an hour is worth it for a small one off job.

I think I agree with that. I'm the 20% that actually is a good driver. I'm super defensive. Don't use my phone when driving. Head is on a swivel. I've only been in one accident and there was nothing I could do. Left turn on green in front of me and I t-boned the bitch. She even admitted fault to the cops on scene and was apologetic to me. Was like a falling rock scenario in the mountains. Nothing to do but brace for impact in 1/2 a second if even that.

No accidents otherwise.
