I MAYBE wrong about the width and height, however, I know that the cylinder can't be longer than the diameter for certain.
O'Neill cylinders will never exist, they can't. They'd flip over once it became imbalanced (and even a SLIGHT imbalance will cause this) and everything in side of it would be pretty banged up at minimum.
There are meant to be two of them together, counter-rotatimg.
I'm not positive that is stable.. But I don't know. It could be demonstrated to be stable on a space station or on the vomit comet. I don't think that fixes the problem, BUT I am not positive about it either. My LIMITED understanding of the Dzhanibekov Effect suggests it's not I think it would still have a tendency to twist, perhaps not as violently though.
Musk wouldn't be buying the bots, anyway. As soon as the ink dried and the money transferred, the DARPA boiler room would have been cleared out leaving nothing but wires and stained carpet.
Twitter’s board of directors unanimously recommended that its shareholders vote to approve Elon Musk’s $44 billion acquisition of the company. Twitter said in a proxy filing with the SEC on Friday that it’s inviting shareholders to attend a special meeting at an unspecified date to vote on a proposal to adopt the original acquisition plan made in late April. “We are committed to closing the merger on the price and terms agreed upon with Mr. Musk,” the company said in the filing. “Your vote at the special meeting is critical to our ability to complete the merger.” Twitter reminded investors that the purchase price represented a 38% premium to where the stock was trading before Musk first disclosed a stake in the company. It’s fallen dramatically since then, closing on Friday at $37.74, which is 30% below the agreed upon deal price.
Elon Musk’s Friendship With Sergey Brin Ruptured by Alleged Affair Tesla chief’s liaison with Google co-founder’s wife led to couple’s divorce filing
Elon Musk engaged in a brief affair last fall with the wife of Sergey Brin, prompting the Google co-founder to file for divorce earlier this year and ending the tech billionaires’ long friendship, according to people familiar with the matter.
Jeez, the guy just can't keep it in his pants. Or maybe Brin's wife Nicole Shanahan issued him an open invitation.
Nicole Shanahan has a great Irish surname, but her mother is Chinese and raised her alone, I read. Maybe her father was Irish.
This is actually one of the most disgraceful things I’ve heard about Musk. Betraying your friend of many years who put you up in his own house time after time, welcoming you into his home…that’s really selfish and despicable.

Agreed. I’m usually behind Elon but this is terrible.
Elon is on the spectrum. I’m speculating but that can sometimes mean difficulty with women, boundaries, etc
At the same time, he’s denying it so maybe its media BS again.

elon is anti-woke yet impervious to their bully and cancel tactics. he parried their attacks, then counterattacked their main bully machine, twitter, and crit them for 9000 by exposing the botnet opinion-manufacturing machine. so they now resort to paid hit pieces from "trusted" news outlets, one of their time tested strategies for stubborn problems, and even those fail.
Ya know, I wonder if maybe WSJ got played here. They shouldn't allow themselves to get played - they should practice solid journalism and not publish heresay. But...
this could be a clever move from team Elon, or someone who likes Elon but isn't necessarily on his team, or someone who has an interest in hurting WSJ, or someone who has an interested in further degrading trust in MSM etc...
Just make up a BS story and convince a media outlet that its true. Maybe show some compelling evidence that they wont be able to immediately tell is fake, and then maybe play a traditional sales tactic on them: "hurry! you must act now or the window of opportunity will be gone!" as a way to entice them to publish ASAP with less than typical rigor. Then they publish, and the facts will emerge and counter their story and savage their credibility.
A lot of "news" outlets in recent years seems happy to publish crap from rumorville, so feeding them poisonpill rumors as a way to humiliate them and their credibility would be a clever "leak detector dye" in the short term, and maybe even antidote in the long term. Kinda like how ~5yrs ago they published those fake but comical studies into woke academic/scientific journals, who promptly accepted and approved them, proving they accept anything.

Correct. Now let's see if the WSJ fires the person responsible. At least that way we would know the WSJ is serious about not publishing misinformation.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has called out Joe Biden over the Democrat president’s offer to trade “woke” WNBA player Brittney Griner for a Russian war criminal.
As Slay News previously reported, Biden offered to exchange Griner for Viktor Bout, a convicted Russian arms trafficker also known as “Merchant of Death.”
Bout is currently serving a 25-year U.S. prison sentence while Griner is locked up in Russia on drugs charges.
As Russian President Vladimir Putin adds names to the exchange list, many are questioning Biden’s potential trade offer.
Musk responded to a Twitter post showing the picture of an unhappy man with the caption:
“People in the US in jail for weed while the government trades a Russian war criminal to free a woman’s basketball player in jail for weed.”

Elon Musk has turned Twitter into dead money
Ives cut his price target on Twitter to $30, and we expect other analysts on the Street to make similar moves this week.
They are unstable. It's called the Dzhanibekov Effect. It's only stable provided that the cylinder's width is < the radius of the cylinder.

I didn't know that.
I do see large segment of Hindoo cult calling Elon Musk Khalistani.
... Can see some motivation.

The real deal is what % of twitter is bots from NGOs and Gov Agencies. Tee Hee!
Some of these board members are going to go down several castes if it doesn't go through, Twitter could become a penny stock.
"uncertainty" = "if musk buys us he will see the botnet. hurry and turn it off and rip the secret manipulation code out."

WDSS - what does Sergey say?
PANSPERMIA! IS! A! REALITY! AT! TESLA! TODAY!
From Elon today: “This is total bs. Sergey and I are friends and were at a party together last night!
I’ve only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with many other people around. Nothing romantic.”

They once wrote an article saying FBI was about to arrest me, so I called FBI to ask what’s up and they said WSJ article was total bs.
Just more shortseller fud.”
WSJ’s reputation is trashed now. TSLA short sellers lost $1B last week when TSLA stock ran up.
