Right when the EU runs out of energy for life.

North Korea negotiating to provide 100,000 troops to gain experience in the Ukraines for the upcoming South Korean campaign?

I will believe the North Koreans troops in Ukraine when I see it. If that were true why does Russia need to call up 300,000 - 1M for cannon fodder?

Yes, latest rumor says it's really 1M.

Russia Far East military spread thin. Japan should consider taking land back.

Wait, are you saying there will be fighting near Moscow this winter? St.Petersburg will be encircled? Sebastopol will be encircled? Interesting.

Different times. Way less modern amenities in the 40's. Apples to Uranus comparison. Russian men have no interest in this war. Why would they? Putin is going to cause a mutiny. Russia is on the verge of collapse over trying to take over a neighboring country. It's embarrassing.

The Red Army counteroffensive officially lasted from early December 1941 until 7 May 1942. The counterattack was titled by the Russians the Winter Campaign

It's convenient to stop at 7th May 1942, isn't it? Allows one to gloss over the fact that by mid-May 250,000 of Zhukov's soldiers were boiling inside Kharkiv cauldron and Crimea was completely clear of the Commie hordes. So what are you trying to say again?

PS. BTW, the casualty rate for that Battle of Kharkiv was something like 1/14 Germans/Commies. That's how glorious Red Army with unlimited supply of conscripts fought that war. We'll see if this can be replicated today.

Looking forward for Europe to do a little lifting for a change, after all this conflict is ... in Europe.

Europe's cash and cash equivalent contribution should be at least half of the total aid. Instead it's 80%+ USA.

Trump was right.

And the globalists are running down the USA on purpose from their EU headquarters.

We'll see.

Again, this war could have been avoided. Zelenskyy was elected to end the civil war with Eastern Ukraine, and didn't - he hosted US biological weapons labs, and continued the war with NATO support, and he's a citizens of Israel, Ukraine, and Cyprus. Dual citizenship bars somebody from office in Ukraine, but technically, triple citizenship doesn't.

Time will tell, but I'm very doubtful Russia will lose this conflict, although the US might claim they lost it. The US did, after all, achieve all aims and objectives in Afghanistan, whatever the fuck they were.

Europe's winter will be interesting. Europe didn't just recently become dependent on Russian energy, they were dependent upon it even when the USSR still existed. It may be the last 20 years of STUPID wars in the Middle East was just an attempt to harm Russia. Who knows, but we'll see in time. Stupid fucking Neocon twats. We should have executed every fucking one of the bastards in the 1990's. Those fucking assholes haven't just wrecked Europe and restarted the Cold War, they have crippled the United States as well though endless, pointless wars. The US has bombed 7 nations in the last 20 years, how has this helped the United States? Bunch of fucking fucks but they have plenty of dupes.

I think the Russians look stupid for not executing the Powell Doctrine of going in with overwhelming force and a clear exit strategy, or not at all.

You never want to "ramp up" a war, because that gives the enemy time.
13   Ceffer   2022 Sep 22, 11:31pm

Putin says Russia is in no hurry. They flipped the script on the West, so the mere ongoing dispute itself is serving them well. Their resources are that much more valuable, and their balance sheets will only go up There will be quite a few countries that will cave to get their gas and oil back. The citizens will rebel and run their Globalist governments out. Hasta La Vista, NWO.
14   AD   2022 Sep 23, 12:12am

Putin is using threat of nukes to intimidate and stop the West from helping Ukraine. Its blackmail or extortion on Putin's part.

His legacy is on the line. He's got to deliver a war prize to the Russian masses by showing victory and annexation of new Russian states that were part of Ukraine.

With this announced mobilization, I see him wanting enough boots on the ground in the occupied regions and using some of them to push out toward Odessa and Kiev.

Its enough to keep Ukraine on the defensive so that Russia can further assimilate and absorb the new Russian states.

There is "no exit".

Putin wants to permanently occupy Ukraine as in "Stalinize" it. Its not just about Russian troops killing and looting, taking back stolen refrigerators and other valuable possessions to their Siberian homes.

I think he over extended himself and turned away many Ukrainians who were at least luke-warm pro-Russia. Now he has to rule over them with an iron fist for anyone of those that still remain in eastern Ukraine that borders Russia.

Russians being Russians, they'll likely try to get Russian citizens to move into these new annexed states.

The war isn't between Ukraine and Russia, it's between Russia and NATO/USA.

Ukraine is just in the middle. Russia has their excuse to cut off Europe for energy supplies now.

We are basically in World War III.

I've railed against the Neocons of the United States for 20 years. Here's the result of not decapitating all the mother fuckers.

I actually know an engineer that believes that if Europe dumps a few TRILLION into renewable energy, they'll be just fine. As if solar panels and wind turbines can heat all of Europe. I exchanged email with him a few months ago, and promised to send him a response in 2 years. It's confounding to me that an engineer doesn't understand something as simple as science. It's not that hard.

The details are hard, but science is nothing more than understanding reality. Models are frequently difficult to understand, but not really anymore. You can just look it up in a table, you don't need the damned equation anymore.

I think we're approaching the point where all the lies are starting to meet reality, but I NEVER expected science educated nerds to just believe "the government". Nobody thinks.

I rather wear extra layer of clothing and keep the thermostat at 50 degrees than have no air condition in 88 degrees Fahrenheit and 65% relative humidity.

Another thing is to get everyone in the same room at night and use a very efficient oil-filled electric heater.

And open each faucet a little to allow a little drip if there are concerns about the pipes freezing. Flush the toilet before going to bed.

But I can see where this will be the most challenging in northern Sweden, etc.

Dude, people that haven't lived in a northern climate that don't have a non-winterized summer home have no idea what they are up against.

Their pipes will freeze, they will freeze, it will be hell on Earth for them. I grew up just south of Canada in New York, we had power outages that lasted days, the first thing we did was fire up a generator and the furnace in winter. We knew it was an emergency, shitty dwellers will have no clue.

I can, and have, camped out in the middle of winter in a tent. It's not exactly wonderful, but it's interesting, for a WEEKEND. Going through 4 months of that shit, would be misery.

Running water slowly will not prevent pipes from freezing, you do this to forestall it. Preventing incoming water from freezing isn't the huge concern, it's more the sewage pipes freezing. Your toilet trap freezes, you're fucked. Think you can pour hot water down it to unclog it, maybe, it the trap doesn't burst, if the toilet seal doesn't melt because its made from beeswax or synthetic wax. You have the same problem in the shower and the kitchen sink.

Living in subfreezing weather for days at a time, is exhausting without some power. I've done it. No thermostat, fire up the fireplaces, running a Coleman lantern, opening all doors to spread heat, horrendously cold showers. If power runs out in Europe's cities, there's going to be chaos. Not just burst sewage lines, not just people freezing to death, riots.

Bet many Russians have gone through this, they know what to do, but I doubt many Swedes or Germans have.

If your power and water are going to be out, drain the lines and blow them out with air pressure if you have it. That's the best chance. Flush your toilet, dump anti-freeze into it - do this with all drains. We used to move food from the freezer to outdoors, I remember that. Couldn't let the internal heat of the house with the fireplaces to ruin it. We had coolers, to keep it from freezing. We'd pack snow into the vegetable drawers to cool it for the fridge, but freezer food, that went outside.

Looking back, it was kind of fun, we all had to work together to secure the home, stay warm, and prevent damage. Not so fun if you don't know what to do, and my father was a furnace repairman. He knew PRECISELY what to do.

They may ration electricity such as rolling blackouts like I've seen before such as in Dominican Republic.

I've lived in northern Michigan (not far from Marinette, Wisconsin) during the winter. You run water like a drip rate on faucets helps a lot.

I doubt there is a large percentage of European homes. I bet they are preparing for this winter now as far as blackouts, etc. But we are talking about northern European countries/regions like Sweden and Denmark that will be the coldest, not southern France, Greece or Sicily.

Florida panhandle homes ultra-insulate. It gets 35 degrees outside for the entire evening and we still don't have to run the heat pump. The ground floor ceramic tiles stay steady at 63 degrees even during two to three weeks of the temp never getting above 49 degrees.

Ever been deprived of power for, say, a week? We had a generator but it was for essentials, and that was for running a wood furnace.

Running the water slowly slows down the freeze, but doesn't prevent it. It will eventually freeze.

Northern rural areas have to deal with power outages, but I don't think shitties ever have. They'll have no clue, and when the damage is done, there will be chaos.

I'm in Silly Con Valley now, it doesn't freeze here, but people think food comes from supermarkets. I grew up in the sticks. power could literally be out for days, sometimes (very rarely) weeks, I understand the whole thing, most people don't. ESG is a big thing here, because they think electric cars are "clean", not realizing they are basically coal and natural gas powered vehicles. Ignorance is bliss.

In summer, during a long power outage, ice-cream was on sale. I remember that too. "Take it before it becomes soup!".

There are indoor propane heaters that are safe to use. I have this one. https://www.amazon.com/Mr-Heater-Corporation-MH18B-Portable/dp/B07Q82MG8S/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=indoor%2Bpropane%2Bheater&qid=1663923955&sprefix=Indoor%2Bpro%2Caps%2C219&sr=8-6&th=1

I assume Europeans have gas grills and camping propane at least, right? I'd get a couple of those heaters and make sure I have plenty of propane. Maybe get a 100lbs tank. Use it sparingly, but I think most could get by. Most people have a nat gas or propane heater/furnace in cold areas, so a couple little propane heaters could do the trick. I assume there'd end up being a shortage of them though.

And I get what Rich is saying about the cities. It could become chaos. I don't know European cities personally. There will always be a faction of people that are morons that did no preparation. Another reason to not live in cities. And there's also a lack of community.

The running water thing does work for long periods of time though. If connected properly it should be below the freeze line coming into the home or building. Water that is technically "warm" won't freeze if it's moving. It would take a long cold stretch with zero heat source. Basically you'd have to be lazy or a moron not to figure it out. I open my cabinets on all sinks and run a slow stream when we go on vacation in the winter.

I dealt with it in foreclosed (REO) properties in Chicagoland. ComEd (our power company) would pull the meter because the previous owner didn't pay. So furnace/boiler couldn't run. It would sometimes take 2 weeks to get it back in during the worst part of winter with days in a row of 0ºF-20ºF temps. Only had one pipe break during the housing crash and that was roughed in plumbing above a garage that was hidden for future usage that we didn't know about. That was in a heated home as well. We just didn't turn on the garage heater.

I think Europe will be fine. It's just what percentage of them are morons. If it's above 25% in the truly cold/freezing cities, then yes, they're fucked. There are solutions in urban areas for cold though. We'll see if Europe is smart enough.

Energy may not just become expensive, it may become unavailable.

Propane, it's just a crappier natural gas. We'll see, I hope everybody is OK, but Europe's government's leaders are traitors, literal traitors to their population. They could have easily avoided this mess - kick NATO out, no aggression with Russia, maintain the US' nuclear missiles. Detente, but instead they moved against Russia, and Russia is pushing back.

The "leaders" of Europe don't give a shit about their own populations. If (hopefully when) these mother fuckers get hung by lamp posts, I'm buying rounds of beer for anybody that wants to show up. I'd love to see Macron strung up, and I know a few Frenchmen that think the same.

95% of our government are Neocons, Democrat and Republican.

We're still bombing Syria, Yemen, and Somalia, and we're itching for war with Russia. How does this advantage the United States, and why doesn't our government stop it?

Victoria Nuland is not executed, that tells you all you need to know. Fauci, a man that pushed to poison AIDs patients with AZT is still alive - that's a chemotherapy drug which killed the people that took it - is our "top doctor" still. That mother fucker isn't dead either.

Neocons are fascists, or really - authoritarians. They seek to destroy this nation for ultimate control, they are psychopaths. Why are they listening to Klauss Schwab? Who the FUCK is he? How did Schwab become a thing, and I mean a thing, to listen to? Name any accomplishment of that fuck? Why isn't George Soros in jail, at minimum?

Communism/Fascism - they don't care. As long as they have absolute control. They are moving us to own nothing and to eat bugs, and be happy. Who is speaking out against this in our federal government?

IT was why the biggest Idiots leading the latest thing these days, were the creators of the "No More Nukes" movement in the 80's.

People still think that there is an "overwhelming force" hidden somewhere which hasn't been used yet? What was demonstsrated was it. They blew their load. If you hasn't achieved your objective with your most modern tanks, helicopters, missiles and professional troops, pulling T-62s out of storage and giving them to conscripts after 2 weeks of training won't do it either.

The "easy" part was supposed to be the shock and awe conventional part where they would quickly overthrow Zelensky's government assuming a big chuck on the Ukrainian population supported Russia. That is all out the window.

If Russia does manage to hang onto portions of Eastern Ukraine, I would think Russia and their puppets would be facing years of bloody insurgency.

I really fail to see any upside for Russia. They lost this thing in the first few weeks of the war. The sooner they wind this thing down the sooner the world can try to put this in the past and move on and get back to somewhat normal relations with Russia.

I see most of the 300,000 just boots on the ground to act as police force within regions that they already control. Its to solidify their control such as the region north of Crimea, as well as the water supply. I suspect they are trying displace anyone within those regions who do not toe the line as far as Kremlin takeover, and they'll bring in Russians to populate these areas following Stalin's playbook.

They may reinforce the border of this region with regular troops. I do not know if they will try to move further west within the next 12 months, but they may try to recover from this and eventually move toward Kiev.

Those 300, or more, extra troops aren't going to do much, if anything except strain Russia's crappy supply lines. Once Ukraine has F-16's and Abrams Tanks and more HIMARS (like 100), what do you think is going to happen? We are talking about early 2023 here.

If 100 HIMRS sounds like a lot, well Poland wants 500, and the US probably has a lot more than that.

Russia is not America in 1940. But it has nukes and as will be shown in the coming months, it can field a large Army if it has the will. In that regard Russia is Iike a sleeping giant. Probably stronger today than it was before world war 2. NATO is giving it little choice but to defend its territory, and let’s not pretend that Ukraine isn’t part of Russian territory.
