The remaining bits of China’s Covid regime continue to be swept away at high speed. The details vary from city to city and province to province, but the changes have come swiftly. First the word was that there would be no more testing required, with – in most cities – the exception of schools, hospitals and retirement homes. Then that changed to no more health code scanning. ...

Whereas previously the ‘epidemic’ (疫情) was heavily promoted as being a mortal danger, the government has executed a 180% about-face, with the previous storyline hastily consigned to the memory hole.

We are now told that the current Omicron strains circulating in China are no more dangerous than the seasonal flu.

I have no doubt that this about-face is a direct result of the massive protests in China.

Similarly, the massive protests in Iran seem to have brought about the abolition of the hated morality police who check whether women have their hair covered:

https://spectatorworld.com/topic/down-with-the-american-morality-police/

When, oh, when will the United States catch up with Iran? Those bearded, bomb-building, Koran-quoting clerics — we underestimate them at our peril. They know enough, the ayatollahs, to get rid of their morality police who have for decades subverted Iranian civic life, as they’ve reportedly done this week after protests in that country continued.

The morality police in Iran were known for harassing Iranians — women especially — who were deemed insufficiently devoted to Islamic purity. Yet when the morality cops apparently killed a young women for her gall in showing too much hair, public protests erupted.

Morality is one thing, persecution is another, as the ayatollahs appear to have figured out. Morality requiring visible and painful enforcement can’t be sustained. That applies here just as much as it does to Iran.

Lesson: GET OUT THERE AND PROTEST CRIMINAL GOVERNMENTS

Do not be intimidated by police or other hired thugs.

America's injection mandates at threat of job loss or explusion from school or the military, or just to enter America, were as bad as anything done by Iran or China, resulting in vast numbers of deaths so that corporate/government criminals like Bourla and Fauci could profit. The scum who implemented these mandates should be tried and hanged for crimes against humanity.

What I see here is that the corrupt regimes in China and Iran saw that the best path to preserving their power was to acquiesce to the demands of the mob.

True, but it proves that ultimately power rests with the people.

Beware of Phony Public Health Emergencies
Rule by unelected public health officials.

As Dr. McCullough characterized the problem in his January 23, 2022 speech from the Lincoln Memorial, medical freedom is like a circle linked to the circles of social and economic freedom. As he put it:

If we allow the circle of medical freedom to be touched, let alone broken, all of the circles fracture.

Because humans are capable of inflicting physical harm on others, the State has always reserved the right to arrest anyone who threatens others with violence. When SARS-CoV-2 arrived, the State applied the same logic to everyone.

Everyone, we were told, could harbor the deadly virus, and therefore the State reserved the right to place everyone under house arrest. Thus we see how a purported Public Health Emergency can become the mechanism for subverting our Constitution.

Shortly after SARS-CoV-2 arrived, Alex Azar, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, declared a Public Health Emergency, thereby providing legal justification for the massive pandemic response. The exercise was so profitable for a host of public and private interests that the Biden Administration couldn’t resist the temptation to do the same trick with Monkeypox. On August 22, 2022, HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra declared the disease a Public Health Emergency.

Trump.

Alex Michael Azar II (/ˈeɪzɑːr/; born June 17, 1967) is an American attorney, businessman, lobbyist, and former pharmaceutical executive who served as the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services from 2018 to 2021. Azar was nominated to his post by President Donald Trump on November 13, 2017, and confirmed by the United States Senate on January 24, 2018. He was also chairman of the White House Coronavirus Task Force from its inception in January 2020 to February 2020, when he was replaced by Vice President Mike Pence.

From 2012 to 2017, Azar was president of the U.S. division of Eli Lilly and Company, a major drug company, and a member of the board of directors of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, a large pharmaceutical trade association.

n June 2007, Azar was hired by Eli Lilly and Company chief executive officer Sidney Taurel to be the company's top lobbyist and spokesman as its senior vice president of corporate affairs and communications.

In April 2009, Azar became vice president of Lilly's U.S. Managed Healthcare Services organization and its Puerto Rico affiliate.[21] In 2009, the company paid $1.415 billion to settle criminal charges regarding its promotion of antipsychotic drug Zyprexa (olanzapine) for off-label uses between 1999 and 2005.[20]

Effective January 1, 2012, Azar became president of Lilly USA, LLC, the largest division of Eli Lilly and Company, and was responsible for the company's entire operations in the United States.[21] Prices for drugs rose substantially under Azar's leadership, including the tripling of the cost of the company's top-selling insulin drug. Also under Azar's watch, Eli Lilly was one of three companies accused in a class-action lawsuit of exploiting the drug pricing system to increase profits for insulin. Eli Lilly was also fined in Mexico for colluding on the price of insulin.[22][23] In connection with the position, Azar served on the board of directors of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, a pharmaceutical lobby.[24]

In January 2017, Azar resigned from Eli Lilly "to pursue other career opportunities" as a result of a company reorganization.[25] He also resigned from the board of directors of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization. In his last year at the corporation he earned $2 million.[26]. - Wikid

The worst they can do is throw you in prison on TRUMPed up charges or kill you.

Unfortunately, at this point in time "the squeaky wheel gets replaced." Sometimes I feel so cynical about the slow march toward totalitarianism.

We are at war with an elite who have decided that there are way too many people on this planet and the best way to preserve what is left of "their" resources is to have a great reset that will eliminate 90% of humanity through global vaccination and birth control.

They'll probably come for Patrick first but the rest of us who speak out against the narrative are on a list of irredeemables.

They are stupid. What is frustrating is that 1st world societies always, ALWAYS lead to a decline in birth rates.

I hate to tell you this, but the main reason people have children is because children are regarded as an asset, not a liability. Children are expected to help the elderly in old age, and that's the biological reason people have them. In a first world developed nation, children are regarded as a liability.

I used to have the Malthusian viewpoint, but it's wrong. The problem we DO have is the most wretched among us do have children as it's an asset to them. Single mothers get larger amounts of welfare when they have more children. We are dividing up into a two tiered species, slowly.

Three tiered. The lowest tier you mentioned above, an "elite ruling class", and, lets call them, the technicians.

They need at least some of us to keep things running. AI and robots won't serve all their needs. Machines will never end the need for human work.

Innovation does not thrive in a totalitarian society. Things fall apart.

Henry George refutes Malthus quite well in "Progress and Poverty" I thought.
