WHO IS READY FOR JULY 4th?

We came home to Tri Valley last night, unloaded the car, had twenty minutes or so of air conditioning then, thwump, the power went out in 2/3d's of Pleasanton area. It was a bigun. As is luck of the draw, Pleasanton was the only place in NorCal to have this kind of outage. PG&E wouldn't in typical character even reveal the reason for the blackout.

Our place wasn't resolved until 4AM, but California, in line with Global Warming Propaganda, will exercise rolling blackouts to 'prevent forest fire hazards' from their neglected power infrastructures. Of course, no mention of the on purpose DEW firestorms or the various illegal aliens hired to go along highways and byways to torch stuff with arson.

There is a predicted heat spell through July 9, with temperatures going above 105. Spousal unit and myself are considering hazarding the July 4 rush to the coast (mid to high 70's) to go back to the Santa Cruz hutch for the duration. The tri valley house is unlivable without air conditioning at those temperatures, and it seems risky to trust the damned moth eaten grid.

Strange thing is, without all the EMF emanations, my wife and I find the lack of juice to be an oddly relaxing experience, like a strange noise cleansing. I read books from my cellphone and turned in early.

My wife says that meditation gurus in Santa Cruz recommend turning off all electricity in the house during meditation periods. I think that holds some weight.

The problems early Americans faced in 1776 were very different from the problems we face today. For one thing, in those days Americans yearned to throw off the yoke of a white-haired, mentally confused ruler with serious memory problems given to impotent outbursts and hallucinations. One colorful anecdote holds that King George told Palace staff that cannibals ate his uncle, Baron Mosey.

Haha! The colonists’ situation was totally different from our modern configuration. We enjoy a government by president, which a wise Latina Supreme Court Justice insisted this week is actually a King. You probably think I’m making some kind of sly comparison here, but King Biden is nothing like King George, because King George could sometimes feed himself. So.

The truth is, the British feudal system the colonists rebelled against was the real problem, and it was vastly dissimilar to our Constitutional form of government. Under feudalism, King George cemented power by dishing out royal appointments, like baronies and knighthoods. “And soest thou now becomest Duke Nincompoop of Worcestor,” the King would say, and Bob’s your uncle, Simon “Dumb as a Rock” Jones would instantly become royalty, and would enjoy vast powers of ordering his friends and neighbors around and conducting official business like throwing that guy in jail who refused to keep his miniature poodle out of Simon’s yard that one time. And then Simon would get rich, of course, by taxing everybody senseless.

Fortunately, we have a system of checks and balances whereby the President cements power by appointing his cronies like Merrick Garland to high office, where they wield vast powers and settle scores with antivaxx soccer moms by siccing the FBI on them or auditing their taxes until they go crazy. “And soest thou shalt becomest General of Attorneys,” Biden would mumble, reading from his teleprompter, which is also completely distinct from the scroll or parchment or something that nearsighted King George used to stumblingly read from. And then Baron Garland of Attorneys gets rich, of course, just like Duke Nincompoop of Worcester, through taxing everybody senseless. ...

Of course, had the Founders known how the Federal Government and its executive agencies would one day mature into an oversized, byzantine, neo-feudal system, they probably would have jumped into Boston Harbor along with the tea and swam away.

So on this remarkable 2024 Day of Independence, let us pause to reflect how the Supreme Court, in its trifecta of agency-pruning decisions, just held the legal version of the Boston Tea Party, dumping decades of neo-feudal laws into the Potomac. Call it the Potomac Tea Party, a sort of declaration of independence from King Biden who, like King George, at this point probably wasn’t even told what happened since it would just make him cranky and hard to feed.

Four years ago, I invested a tremendous amount of time and treasure fighting with the government and advising citizens how to resist the cockamamy and contemptible rulings of their employer overlords, who were busily wielding federal government-fueled, neo-feudal powers to force workers to take shots they didn’t want. Now, Fauci’s squawking chickens are noisily flying back to the coop, and a giant flock of tobacco-litigation-level of lawsuits over their asinine jab policies are starting to land right where we predicted.

I also regularly and often warned local government officials that their King George-levels of madness and overreach during the pandemic’s early days would soon result in their overused and arbitrary executive powers being miniaturized into gift-shop replicas. They ignored me. But that too has also played out exactly as I (and others) accurately predicted. Bad luck for big government.

During covid, Biden’s federal government flexed to its utmost strength, proving to even the lowest-information voter that it had too much power, and creating the predicate for the revolutionary reckoning that is currently assembling for duty.

Lord Acton famously observed that power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. The Supreme Court’s immunity decision this week did not transform the presidency into a kingship. It did exactly the opposite. It tossed the de facto absolute immunity that presidents have long enjoyed out with the tea boxes, and replaced that monarchical standard with a careful Constitutional rubric for holding presidents accountable.

EV's are going to destroy your state guys. Might sound hyperbolic but it's not even the grid. There's not enough power.

EV owners are worried about charging their car. How about your fridge being down for 24-36 hours? Oh shit, all my food is trash without getting ice from a gas station, oh.... that doesn't have power. This is why EV's don't work. You get a hot spell, NOT climate change, and your power goes out. Boom, there goes $500+ in frozen and refrigerated items.

I feel for you Ceffer. This is why I'm so anti-EV. We don't have the power supply. Well specifically CA. I don't think greentards understand the power draw to charge these cars. These idiots need to get over the fear of nuclear. Fuck the endangered snake because of environmental regulations. We're doing pretty good without dinosaurs....

Yesterday, I went to the grocery store. Just as I walked in the door, the power went out. They had some kind of power reserve keeping a few overhead lights on. I didn't know if the cash registers still worked (they didn't), so I shopped but wound up leaving my basket for them to restock. The customers in the store stood around like stunned sheep waiting for the power to come back on (which it didn't).

It was kind of funny, because the third worlders in the pharmacy knew the gig, and seemed used to the 'power outage' third world crap, so they immediately shuttered the pharmacy and closed it down. I suppose also they might have been afraid of opportunistic muggers. It's worth noting their reflexes, because that's the way we are going in California, into third world infrastructure and baloney.

It's why I frequent this forum. CA would be the 5th largest GDP country on the planet so I have interest in your guys opinions and real life reality. Not you or any user here specifically, I just don't want to see this shit come my way. That's saying a lot as a dude from IL. Buying products and the tag says you'll get cancer basically is annoying as fuck. Like a camping chair. Really???

I love visiting CA, but come to my spot in IL and you'd be shocked I think. No crime. Minimal cops. We kind of just do what we want. Car unlocked. Front door unlocked. Kids run/bike/cart/SxS around, fish, work for other elderly neighbors, play baseball at the park, etc. Andy Griffith type town.

I don't want to promote my location, but it's blue collar fun people. I don't think anyone wants to move to IL but there are good parts if you're good with winters. Today is muggy, but need to sweat out the beer from last night. I'm a weirdo, I like sweating. Want a sauna real bad. Or steam shower.

That figure must be the most successful example of gaslighting bullshit around.

GDP measured in what? USD?

Ok, let's keep that purely for simplicity's sake.

How would California finance their massive unfunded pension liabilities? Sudden need for massive defense spending? Etc.? That independence would require?

Well Trumptard, they can raise their income taxes to capture that which it's citizens used to pay on federal income tax.

Sure, but that won't be enough. A lot, but not enough.

Well, they can cut spending?

Hahahaha.

Fuck you! Cali would be the 5th most fucking rich country in the world, asshole! You can't do math!

While high GDP is heavily correlated to wealth, not always.

So...what deep water California Navy will secure commercial shipping over thousands of miles to and from Cali? Especially Cali's oil supplies that almost all come from the ME?

https://www.energy.ca.gov/data-reports/energy-almanac/californias-petroleum-market/annual-oil-supply-sources-california

So...what water supply is going to replace the massive portion Cali gets currently from the Colorado River Compact but won't after independence. ?

What will be the effects of the DEFINITE housing crash that will happen when massive numbers of ppl flee for 'fascist America'? Jobs when the businesses flee to same?

How will California pay for another massive earthquake?

But hey! Cali is the 5th largest economy of the world ! I can't do math!

Best part. It greases the pan to prep for the beans.

Got burgers, but I found a ring of shrimp way back in the fridge...

I’m flying to Vegas in about four hours, after I get off work.

I have to admit, it is nice seeing people happy on a Fourth of July for a change. Hasn't been like that for quite a while.

Coastal LA and OC was mega chill today. Lots…and I do mean lots of flag waving. Where I live is purple leaning blue, Long Beach that we drove through is the same, all of OC we went through is MAGA country. But lots of American Flags on display. I commented to my wife that things were so mellow. No one driving like a maniac, no one drunk, etc.

To my dad(in his 80’s) to a Dodger game last night as his bday present. Crummy game…the good guys lost 12-4, but a really enjoyable night. I was trying to get my dad to quiet down on the political talk(he’s as big a Trump fan as anyone on this forum) lol just cause the politics there aren’t really in our favor. I don’t think he cares, but neither of us would be any good in a fist fight.

Tomorrow wife and I head off for a multi week trip through God’s country. My wife loved our road trip so much last year that she wanted to go again. Were heading to different parts of Montana, Idaho, and northern and eastern Nevada this year. The other day she heard some people on a show I was watching on msnbc taking about Maga racism and she’s Latina and said she never once felt odd or out of place anywhere we went last year in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, or Montana.

I’m optimistic about President Trump. For all the complaining about the SCOTUS picks, they have delivered in stunning fashion even occasionally picking up a 7th vote from Kagen or Jackson Brown(never from the bloated unwise one though). I think the Israeli-terrorist conflict ends within a week of President Trumps swearing in(he said it will happen before that) and I think Russia-Ukraine ends not too long after that. I also think the economy starts flying again as trump immediately ends moratoriums on US oil drilling.

Maybe everyone else feels the same way. Get woke out of the schools, get people working at good jobs, get a more optimistic future.

Hardly any pride flags in wine country at the parade, plenty of American flags. Some Ukraine flags. Things seem to be improving YoY
23   stereotomy   2024 Jul 4, 10:08pm

Grilled 100% grass fed beef burgers to perfection, with a side of nicely caramelized sweet roasted corn, finished with some nice ice cream. After that, watched Independence Day on the HT because the PRNY doesn't want to celebrate 7/4. Fuck those commies.
