In a 2024-style twist that might explain much, it unsurprisingly turns out that Kamala Harris has serious daddy issues. The New York Times ran a hagiographic story Friday headlined, “Kamala Harris and the Influence of an Estranged Father Just Two Miles Away.” Perhaps even more astonishing than the fact that Kamala and her father haven’t spoken in decades was that Kamala’s father’s first name and middle initial are “Donald J.” I am not making that up.
The Times’ article is an overlong, over-the-top biography of far-left economist Donald J. Harris that tries its best to excuse Kamala’s absence from his life, bizarrely attempting to paint a picture of a strong, albeit absent, father figure who positively influenced his daughter even though the two can’t stand each other. Without evidence, the Times hilariously described their nonexistent relationship as his “spectral presence” in her life.
In other words, he ghosted her.
Dr. Harris,” the Times earnestly informed readers, “has been a mostly absent figure from his daughter’s life but not an irrelevant one.” Uh huh. The excruciatingly lengthy, excuses-packed, race-baiting, meandering article never quite got around to putting its finger on the family’s problem, even though that would seem to be the most interesting question for readers. The closest the article came was quoting a family friend who said the trouble “is that they’re so much alike.”
I think that is called damning someone with faint praise. What common element of their similar personalities precludes familial affection?
I’m not slamming Kamala Harris for having a troubled family life. Who among us can claim a halcyon Leave It To Beaver legacy? But all this blackwashing has got to stop.

one the one hand, we saw the 60 minutes edits of kammy to try to prop her up.
on the other, the hit just keep coming and the snippets of unedited interview are startling.
they must know what they are putting out.
the woman is a full blown informercial for a word salad spinner.
this is a softball style question, but it has some teeth, some depth.
it’s something she genuinely ought to be not only able but required to answer.
“is democracy best served by president biden stepping down and basically handing you a nomination?”
it’s an important question and her answer is a full blown fumble that fails to address the point and merely meanders around through “powerful people picked and support me.”
(at least she did not tell us she was born in a middle class family)
it’s interesting that despite the walk back on previous postings, CBS did actually ask her this question at all. it’s a major departure from past practice and it makes me wonder if unitary actor theory is failing us here.
let’s explore:
many are now opining that it’s now open war between joe and kams.
i have personally heard the same from multiple prominent US congresspeople i made friends with during the covid days and with whom i still chat.
it’s nice to have pals.
lots of folks seem to be noticing.
it’s getting sort of hilarious.
this is what makes it dangerous to assume any group (like the GOP or the democratic party or “the media”) is a monolithic actor that only has one set of wants.
joe is throwing kammy under the bus. “my policies (which you hate) are her policies. she was involved!”
the fact that she was dumb enough to go on the view and confirm this instead of setting herself up as her own person really says it all, no?
this is an empty pantsuit.
honestly, it’s worse. an empty suit would have done nothing and stayed silent letting the machine do the work. but not here. walz got clowned in the veep debate and people saw him. now they are seeing kammy whammy fumble easy tricks in easy, friendly interviews.
she’s simply awful and it’s becoming impossible to deny.
the parallel to “the whole media and political class protected dementia joe and lied about his mental incapacity” is inescapable and media and politicos alike do NOT want to be left holding that same bag twice in a row.
so they are bailing.
the polls look irrelevant and have not even made sense. they look to be over-sampling dems severely.
word is the internal polls are telling a very different story, one of “losing nearly all the big swing states” and perhaps fear that this is past the margin of cheating is setting in.
brandon has set his sights in harris and wants to shoot her down and she’s too hapless and arrogant to do the smart thing and stop speaking. and now it’s too late. at this point, even that would make her look awful.
she clowned her FEMA oversight and got creamed on “infinite money for illegal immigrants and foreign wars, but none for americans.”
then she got caught on a live mic getting the questions she should ask FEMA staffers to look “leadershippy” passed on to her from a staffer.
and then, of course, there’s FEMA overall which has become such a clownshow that they sent electric chainsaws to a town with no power.
they prioritize DEI and climate change over “preparedness.” ...
predictable people put predictable spin on this, but it predictably backfired.
god i love the internet.
... they’re all turning on her unelected majesty and the pantsuit pratfalls will continue until everyone see’s what’s going on and probably well past it.
the honeymoon is over.
the october surprise will be “meeting kamala and realizing that no one wants her and that much of the DNC would rather have a fresh start in 4 years that have to pretend this woman has an IQ above room temperature and can string coherent concepts much less coherent policy together.”
powerful people have now met her. she’s a bad person, disingenuous, stupid, and incompetent. she’s also nasty as a snake and horrible to work for or with. this “mamala empathy” is a cynical sham.
get your popcorn, the movie is about to get fun.
Don’t kid yourself: Kamala Harris does not want to be President of the United States. She doesn’t even want the ceremonial stuff, the incessant shuffling from one photo op to the next, the tedious Easter egg rolls, the prayer meetings, the turkey pardonings, the tiresome state banquets for men in strange headgear who are unfamiliar with using the fork and knife, and forbidden to sip chardonnay. . . .
It’s obvious she has been played for a chump, that she was sandbagged into play-acting “the candidate” by an odd coalition of the distraught and the desperate — that is, the many agency blobsters who fear prison and the perfidious politicians such as Pelosi, Schumer, Mitch the Turtle, the Clintons, and Obama, paid to cover for the blob, often doing it badly, who fear the judgment of history, as well as the loss of their fortunes. Distraught and desperate characters make foolish decisions.
About thirty seconds after “Joe Biden” vowed to stay in the 2024 race, a delegation of these panicked pols paid him a call and passed him the black spot, knowing he could not credibly front for the massive election cheat underway. He was barely able to front for the previous one in 2020, when every lever of power got pulled to-the-max to conceal the truth about the steal, and to severely punish those who dared to murmur doubts about the election’s freeness and fairness. ...
The outstanding question: will the Democratic Party actually go ahead and attempt to execute an election steal despite growing evidence of a developing Trump landslide that might obviate it? The works are already in motion. The mail-in ballots went out long ago and early votes are getting cast by the day. The overseas ballots that require no US address or voter verification are flooding in by the millions and four years of open borders has 10-million illegal aliens (at a minimum) dispersed around the nation, great gobs of them planted in swing states, processed through the DMVs and social services — with the requisite automatic voter registration — their ballots already pre-bundled for harvest.
It could go a few ways. One is, just let’er rip, harvest all those fake votes, stuff the drop-boxes, flood the zone, and do it all right in America’s face as if to say: we can do whatever we want. . . to get whatever we want. . . and you can’t stop us. That is probably the point where blue America finds out exactly what the Second Amendment was designed for. You might also expect a whole lot of state-organized resistance, especially in the populous red ones, Texas, Florida, real court cases over fraud this time, contested certification.
Or, the election could come out a hopeless unresolvable muddle. There’s no precedent for this and no provision in the Constitution, but you can imagine the Supreme Court having to decide a necessary do-over minus all recent gimmicks, paper ballots only, voters with proof of citizenship only, all voting on one re-scheduled election day before January 1. This novelty would be something apart from the clunky Congressional machinery established for settling electoral college disputes, since it is predicated on various states’ inability to determine their electoral college vote in the first place, based on patent irregularity and fraud. ...
Long ago, she was a pretty girl with a law degree and an infectious laugh on the fringes of local politics in San Francisco. The winds of fortune blew her this way and that way until she ended up way over her head, used by the reprobates around her as a mere device to stay out of jail. She ends as an historical prank on her own country. It must be deeply demoralizing to be used like that in front of the whole world.
