Apparently Hertz has a track record of sending the cops to arrest vacationing families face down on the highway pavement that rent from them, siezing people's Personally owned vehicles from repair shops and selling them claiming they belong to Hertz (despite the VIN being different), etc. Pretty wild. Their tracking system was probably sourced to the cheapest contractor in Karachi.

These aren't one offs, there's like a slew of them, 364 alone were settled just according to lawsuits for unlawful imprisonment and misreprentation and libel for false reports initiated by Hertz.
