Oh, and speaking of reality shows. Remember one of the first out there called Real-TV? That was my brief stint in television. I was an associate producer, which meant I primarily did interviews (off camera). After awhile I did some of the hack writing that ends up being the voice over. Fortunately I never had Jack's wife do a re-write on me. But the show wasn't Shakespeare anyway. It was fun though, I got to ride in the Goodyear blimp (no double entendres Jack!) and go up in a KC-15 to do film a re-fueling mission. I actually loved the job, the the office politics were so brutal I opted out of the business altogether.

I think they still show re-runs on Spike-TV. It's basically real life video that people would send in. We'd interview the people who sent in the more interesting video. Or we'd do an interview to fill in the gaps in the story. I would do the interviews in the LA area personally. Out of the area interviews would be done by a sub-contracted camera crew I would supply with the interview directions and how to set up the shot.

I meant to say we filmed a re-fueling mission, and then I interviewed the boom operator (don't start Jack) who was the person responsible for doing the re-fueling.

Do they have a loud bongo drum Christmas parties too? If not, I'm disappointed. Celebrating Christmas is all of a sudden not PC. Or do they have summer and winter solstice parties instead? (we have some SF friends who celebrate the solstices...but I'm afraid to ask what the celebration involves because it probably includes running around the house naked)
