I bought a giant bar of Zote soap for $2 from one of the Mexican places nearby recently. It says it's for laundry, but I read that people just wash with it, so I put it in the shower. It's great, pretty strong soap, but doesn't cause redness or any other problem, and smells good because it has citronella in it. Wife didn't complain except to say that it is too large to handle, so I cut it in half. It's actually made from beef tallow, high quality stuff.

Lately I like old books, not only written long ago, but physically old. They have more character and they pre-date the possibility of woke edits.

I just watched part of Blazing Saddles on Netflix. Nothing was left out of the original as far as I could tell. Nigger was used quite a bit.

This would have been a scandal if it was posted to the Internet in 1995 and the company would have been condemned for doing this fake story for an advertisement and I would bet the FTC would have been involved, if only to speak against it. This is before our "news" consolidated into one mass of propaganda outlets.

I guess it doesn't matter now. The second I see "a news ticker" at the bottom of a video still shot, I know to skip it. That's the only use they have, thank god for them. Serious journalists don't use them, but propagandists do.
