Bill Clinton says Democratic presidents top Republican presidents in job creation

"Since 1961 … our private economy has produced 66 million private-sector jobs. So what's the jobs score? Republicans 24 million, Democrats 42 (million)."

Are Democratic presidents better than Republican presidents at job creation? Former President Bill Clinton said so -- forcefully -- in his speech to the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte.

Democratic Presidents also surpass their GOP counterparts in creating dead American soldiers.

At least, that's the conclusion if one subscribes to the post-hoc-ergo-propter-hoc fallacy put forth by President Clinton on job creation.

In the past 100 years, 630,000 Americans were killed in foreign wars. So what's the body count? Republicans: 30,000. Democrats: 600,000

A less charitable observer than myself might even argue that the grief of those 600,000 bereft mothers constitutes some sort of "war on women."

From your blog.

Ronald Reagan inherited stagflation from Jimmy Carter. Had Reagan been fixated on maximizing job creation in his first term, he never would have given political support to Paul Volcker's aggressive interest rate increases at the Federal Reserve, which succeeded in choking off inflation but at the cost of what was, at the time, the worst recession since the Depression.

Reagan inherited the most fortunate economic situation in american history. Carter's appointee Volker did indeed succeed in choking off inflation, and yes Reagan supported his completing that job. But it was done shortly into Reagan's term, and then interest rates could drop from unprecedented heights for the remaining years he was in office.

He had campaigned on reducing the deficit, but decided to go the oppsite way. So lets see...extreme deficit spending, and interest rates falling like a rock. Of course the economy boomed.

True but silly as the most deadly foreign wars were supported pretty much across the board by both parties excepting maybe Vietnam. Adding more pointless info: the 630K number is close to the number killed in our civil war, by far the deadliest war we have fought, of course Lincoln was a Republican not that it is relevant to anything. One can make a case I suppose that any war is a war of choice but clearly some wars are pretty difficult to stay out of, others are much easier to avoid.

Clinton, a reliable source of valuable information, and a known pathological liar, also said, under oath: " I NEVER HAD SEX WITH THAT WOMEN".

Hahahaha.
